B. Hussein Obama’s Katrina moment.

While the this porkulus bill the democrats and B. Hussein Obama are trying to ran down the American’s people’s throats may turn out to be his Iraq moment, Obama and FEMA’s response (or lackthereof) to the problems from the Kentucky ice storm may be his Katrina moment. Remember how horribly the hurricane Katrina fiasco was handled by Fema and Dubya back in 2005? Of course you do. You saw all the horrible pictures, videos, and liberal biased news such as CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, etc trashing Fema and Bush every minute on the minute. While the Kentucky situation today isn’t nearly as epic as the devastation as hurricane Katrina, there are still 42 people dead; communities iced in and without lifesaving power for heat and cooking; conditions worsening — and FEMA nowhere to be found. This isn’t a lefty caricature of disaster-response under the Bush administration; it’s real-life unresponsiveness under the leadership of President Obama (whose accession was supposed to mark a “return to competence” in government). The Daily Telegraph’s Tim Blair is calling this — you guessed it — “a Katrina moment for President Obama.” He says:

According to the Katrina template, this is all Obama’s fault. Yet Kentucky’s Democrat governor Steve Beshear earlier praised Obama’s swift action … in making a phone call:

“I can’t tell you how appreciative we were,” the governor said. “He not only expressed his concern, but he obviously had the Kentuckians in his thoughts and prayers, and he communicated that to us.”

Porkulus good – defense bad!

While the Obama administration tries pushing through its trillion-dollar porkfest of Mall resodding and Medicare expansion, the Pentagon has gotten a much different mission from the White House. President Obama has demanded a 10% reduction in the defense budget for FY2010, even while we fight a war in Afghanistan and conduct counterterrorist operations around the world:

The Obama administration has asked the military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff to cut the Pentagon’s budget request for the fiscal year 2010 by more than 10 percent — about $55 billion — a senior U.S. defense official tells FOX News.

Last year’s defense budget was $512 billion. Service chiefs and planners will be spending the weekend “burning the midnight oil” looking at ways to cut the budget — looking especially at weapons programs, the defense official said.

Paul Begala calls Rush Limbaugh a “corpulent drug addict”

obama_youth_04.jpgIrony? In a interview on  communist news network (CNN) with “Wolf” Blitzer, Paul Begala begins by giving a backhanded compliement to Micheal Steetle for becoming the RNC Chairman. But quickly Begala switches gears, calling Rush Limbaugh the “real leader” of the GOP and that Rush Limbaugh is a “corulent drug addict”. I guess Begala forgot about the President of the United States being an admitted coke addict in his younger years eh? Watch the video below:

B. Hussein Obama’s half brother George Obama popped for pot possession

george-obama-baracks-half-brother.jpgDrug use must really be popular in the Hussein Obama family. B. Hussein Obama has admitted his addiction to crack during his younger days and his half brother in Kenya, George Obama is apparently a pothead too. Now President Obama’s half brother, George, has been arrested and charged with possession of marijuana near his home in Nairobi, Kenya.George Obama doesn’t know his brother well and he only had one joint on him. “He is not a drug peddler,” Police Chief Joshua Omokulongolo told the Associated Press. Well, that’s good to know. George is the youngest of Barack Obama’s father’s seven children. He was not among the new president’s Kenyan relatives attending the recent D.C. inauguration. And media reports of George living in a shack and earning $1 day. No wonder B. Hussein Obama is such a left wing nutjob. Maybe the porkulus bill can call for some pot money too.

On the 11th day of his admin, Obama gave to me: Another tax cheat!

So far, the incoming Barack Obama administration has given us a tax cheat/incompetent to run the IRS (Tim Geithner) and at least three lobbyists to regulate their industries (William Lynn, Mark Patterson, Neal Wolin).  Now we’re back to tax evasion, and once again it’s a major Cabinet appointment:

ABC News has learned that the nomination of former Senator Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-SD, to be President Obama’s Secretary of Health and Human Services has hit a traffic snarl on its way through the Senate Finance Committee.

The controversy deals with a car and driver lent to Mr. Daschle by a wealthy Democratic friend, a chauffer service the former Senator used for years without declaring their use on his taxes. …

Based in New York City, InterMedia Advisors is a private equity firm founded in part by longtime Daschle friend and Democratic fundraiser, Leo Hindery, the former president of the YES network (the Yankees’ and Devils’ broadcast network).

That same year he began his professional relationship with InterMedia 2005, Mr. Daschle began using the services of Hindery’s car and driver.

The Cadillac and driver were never part of Daschle’s official compensation package at InterMedia but Mr. Daschle — who as Senate Majority Leader enjoyed the use of a car and driver at taxpayer expense — didn’t declare their services on his income taxes, as tax laws require.

Rush Limbaugh responds to Moveon.org’s smear

Apparently furious with the success of a newly-reunited conservative-GOP coalition against the reckless spending of hundreds of billions in taxpayer funds, a group of Obamists headed by MoveOn.org released their Rush Limbaugh smear ad today. Running today on stations nationwide, the ads are designed to put pressure on GOP moderates in the US Senate who might be inclined to follow the lead of their House counterparts. On Wednesday’s vote on the phony, pork-laden “stimulus” bill, Republicans (joined by a handful of Democrats) unanimously rejected the Obamist plan. Limbaugh responded to Moveon.org’s smear today, in the following video:

Even Juan McCain doesn’t seem to like the porkulus bill

Even the so called “maverick” doesn’t seem to like the pork infested “stimulus” bill that Hussein Obama is so anxious to get passed. I mean, how can you not want things such as analog-digital tv converters, honeybee research, etc. Aren’t “important” things like those the cure all for the ailing economy?. So craptastic is this crap sandwich that Democrat Ben Nelson felt obliged to warn The One this morning that he can’t count on a straight party-line yes from his own side, hint hint.

And to add insult to injury, he chose Fox News as the network on which to deliver that message. Heart-ache:

“I don’t even know how many Democrats will vote for it, as it stands today,” Sen. Ben Nelson, D-Neb., told FOX News…

“What I’m hoping to do is bring together a bipartisan group of Republicans and Democrats and offer changes that will attract others and improve the bill,” he told FOX News. “People want this to succeed.”…

One item that likely will be discussed is an amendment that would add billions of dollars to infrastructure projects. Nelson is crafting that measure with Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif, both on the Appropriations Committee.

And Nelson doesn’t want to stop there. He wants to pluck out what he says are extraneous projects in the stimulus bill to pay for the amendment. Providing hundreds of millions of dollars for prevention of smoking and sexually-transmitted disease — though they may be worthy causes — does not create jobs. Nelson even is willing to remove popular Pell Grant increases, saving them for annual spending bills later in the year.

Michelle Obama pregnant?

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has rarely let facts get in the way of gossip. Still, his? latest and apparently baseless speculation about Michelle Obama has generated international baby buzz.  On Wednesday, an item appeared on PerezHilton.com (filed under Baby Blabber – Conspiracy Corner) with the headline: “White House Baby???”  “We’re hearing talk in D.C. that Michelle Obama is pregnant,” the post read. Despite Hilton’s blunt disclaimer (”this is completely unconfirmed”), the rumor has picked up steam. A Google search for the words “Michelle Obama” and “pregnant” churns out 826,000 results. Meanwhile, Gawker has begun scrutinizing recent photos of the First Lady for signs of pregnancy.  The speculation has also spread overseas. News outlets from England to Australia pounced on the news. If this is true, all hail the new Messiah!

New RNC chairman – Michael Steele!

For the first time in history, the RNC chairman is an African American – Micheal Steele! I like the choice, and it seems most conservatives do as well. I wonder now, will everyone in the media get all choked up and break down a cry now that history has been made with the first African American RNC chairman? Or is that only reserve for the closet muslim Barack Hussein Obama and liberal candidates?

Burn Palestinian Burn!

Media wishing assembly safety of the Palestinian cameraman Abdul Rahman Al-Khatib, a journalist who was the medium-degree burns after it caught fire in the wrong coverage of the burning of Israeli and American flags in a march organized by Hamas in Gaza City this afternoon. The BBC, quoting witnesses said the cameraman from al-Khatib came Masked they poured gasoline on the burning of Israeli flags abundantly fire in a part of the course and tried to fire over the rest of the body to burn his feet and hands. He added that the citizens had gathered around him and extinguished the fire that broke out in the body medical sources said his wounds after a moderate fire hit his feet and hands and the face of the parties.

Keep your themorstats at 68 degrees (Unless you are Hussein Obama)

You know global warming needs to be dealt with and all? With one of the coldest winters on record so far, snow in Las Vegas late last year, surely the polar ice caps are just days away from melting, and we are all doomed. Just ask Algore. Last week, Barack Obama caused quite a stir when he allowed himself to be photographed in the Oval Office without wearing a suit jacket, ending the Bush tradition of coat-and-tie for the West Wing.  The New York Times reports on how Obama made that possible during a colder-than-usual Washington winter.  All Obama did was turn up the thermostat to Hawaii hothouse levels:

The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.

“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”

Thus did a rule of the George W. Bush administration — coat and tie in the Oval Office at all times — fall by the wayside, only the first of many signs that a more informal culture is growing up in the White House under new management. Mr. Obama promised to bring change to Washington and he has — not just in substance, but in presidential style.

Hussein Obama DENIED by Gitmo military judge

Barack Hussein Obama wanted all proceedings for military tribunals halted for 120 days in order to determine how to proceed with the adjudication of the remaining detainees at Guantanamo Bay.  In a serious blow to those plans, a Gitmo military judge rejected the delay and instructed the government to proceed with its case against Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri.  Obama will either have to comply or release Nashiri:

A military judge in Guantanamo Bay has denied the Obama administration’s request to delay proceedings for 120 days in the case of a detainee accused of planning the October 2000 attack on the USS Cole warship, an al-Qaeda strike that killed 17 service members and injured 50 others.

The decision throws into some disarray the administration’s plan to buy time as it reviews individual detainee cases as part of its plan to close the U.S. military prison at the Guantanamo naval base in Cuba. The Pentagon may now be forced to withdraw the charges against Abd al Rahim al-Nashiri, a Saudi citizen of Yemeni descent. …

But Judge James Pohl, an Army colonel, said he found the government’s reasoning “unpersuasive.”

“The Commission is unaware of how conducting an arraignment would preclude any option by the administration,” said Pohl in a written opinion, portions of which were read to The Post. “Congress passed the military commissions act, which remains in effect. The Commission is bound by the law as it currently exists, not as it may change in the future.”

Boooosh gets a standing ovation!

But it was in of all places, Waco, TX. So umm…

Report: Barack Obama’s Al Qaida initiative began months before his election

obama_terrorist.gifWASHINGTON — Barack Obama was working with Arab intermediaries to establish an unofficial dialogue with Al Qaida long before his election as the 44th U.S. president, according to a report in the upcoming weekly edition of Geostrategy-Direct.com.
Al Qaida has offered what has been described as a truce in exchange for a U.S. military withdrawal from Afghanistan, according to the report.

Obama has deemed the U.S. reconciliation with the Muslim world, including Iran, as his main foreign policy goal, sources quoted in the report said. The president has been aided by several Persian Gulf Arab Muslims with ties to Al Qaida’s leadership in Pakistan, they said.

On his first day in office, Obama ordered the shutdown of the U.S. Navy prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, which where 245 suspected Al Qaida members are detained.

DC private chefs not good enough for the B. Hussein Obama family

barack-obama-change-money.jpgSurprisingly the New York Obama Times is actually posting this story. The article mentions that Sam Kass, a private chef who cooked for the Obamas while they were living in Chicago, is now cooking for them in the White House. Obama had a private chef in Chicago? Wasn’t this the same Obama who complaining about John McCain’s 7 homes and telling all Americans they have to “Sacrifice” now for the county? A spokeswoman for Michelle Obama, Katie McCormick Lelyveld, said Mr. Kass would not be the only cook preparing the family’s meals, but “he knows what they like, and he happens to have a particular interest in healthy food and local food.” Mr. Kass will work alongside the White House executive chef, Cristeta Comerford, who was promoted to that job by the Bushes in 2005 and is being kept on by the Obamas. Mr. Kass is filling a vacancy and will be a White House employee, paid by the government, not the Obamas.

Na na na na, Na na na na, HEY HEY Goodbye Blago!

blago-pouting.jpgCorrupt Illinois Democrat Governor Rod Blago Blagojevich has been officially impeached by the Illinois Senate by a unanimous vote of 59-0. But what will become of The Children and The Elderly and The Vaccines?!!!! The Blago circus has officially left town.

The governor said he would like to apologize, but couldn’t because he didn’t do anything wrong. The senators watched attentively. Many leaned forward in their seats. Some took notes.

“It’s painful and it’s lonely, but I want you to know I never, ever intended to commit a criminal act,” Blagojevich said.

The two-term Democratic governor spoke for 47 minutes, then smiled and winked at reporters as he passed the press box on his way out of the Senate.

As the sound of the calliope starts to fade, the thought of not having Blago to kick around anymore becomes simply unbearable. So let me toss something out here, Ron Burgundy style, and if you don’t like how it sounds, send it right back: Fox News analyst Rod Blagojevich. Think it over. Exit question: Good idea to set a precedent of impeaching people who haven’t been convicted of any crime? (Exit answer: No.)

Let them eat cake? No! Let them eat $100 wagyu steak!

To celebrate the house passing the pork filed “stimulus” bill, the B. Hussein Obama and his band of merry band of Democrats decided to celebrate with some expensive beef! Can the Obama administration be anymore tone deaf? After pushing his $1.1 trillion Generational Theft Act of 2009 through the House last night, the White House apparently decided to throw itself a swank cocktail party. According to ABC’s Jake Tapper, the menu included alcoholic beverages (vodka martinis are an Obama favorite, reportedly) and wagyu steak. Yeah, “wagyu steak.” $100 per serving delicacy. On the heels of the most expensive inaugural celebration in American history and passage of a trillion-dollar spending binge that will saddle future generations with unprecedented debt, perhaps President Obama might consider cutting back on such indulgences. Or is the White House exempt from “shared sacrifice,” Mr. President?

“New era of responsibility?”

Not so much.

I wonder what the comparasion of cost to this little party was to his and his wife’s big lobster dinner at the Waldorf Astoria some months ago? Or god forbid anyone ask what Mrs. America Hater’s “Dresses” cost on innaug day after bitch and moaning constantly about the Sarah Palin wardrobe.

Worst President in my lifetime (so far) Jimmy Carter clueless now just like the 70s

The Presidents in my lifetime so far have been Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George HW Bush, Bill Clinton, George dubya Bush, and now B. Hussein Obama.  While marxist/socialist Hussein Obama may someday pass peanut head Carter as worst President in my lifetime (with dubya close on Carter’s tail),  It still to this day amazes me how dumb the disco President still is. I was in grade school at the time Carter was President, and I wasn’t exactly interested in politics back then, but even I knew how bad he was with the whole Iran hostage fiasco, the inflation, the jobless rates, etc and was begging my parents to vote for Reagan in 1980. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer interviews Jimmy Carter tonight, and the man  remains as clueless as ever.  Carter starts off the interview by claiming that the economy worked better in his term than now, and that unemployment hasn’t been this bad since the Depression, when today’s peak unemployment doesn’t exceed the Carter average for his last year in office.

Gays Go Ga-Ga Over Andrea Mitchell!!!!

Hillarious read from the New York Observer:

Each week, one of us is lucky to have the opportunity to call up big New York City magazine and newspaper editors and shoot the breeze. Remnick! Graydon! Keller! What a job! But whenever he brags to friends about it, it never really goes over well. They either don’t know or don’t care.

This all changed a few weeks ago when the reporter spoke to Andrea Mitchell, the NBC News veteran. After casually telling one of our mutual friends, James, that there was an interview with Andrea Mitchell, he lost it.

On Gchat: “5:31 PM James: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Followed by: “it just boggles the mind that andrea mitchell knows who you are. this makes me giddy.”

Revealed: the letter Obama team hope will heal Iran rift

obama-mohammad.jpgFirst Obama offers an olive branch on Al-Arabya TV, and class bully Ahmadinejad kicked sand back into Obama’s face. Now Obama thinks passing a nice little note to the class bully will make Ahmadinejad and his jihadist buddies play nice. How infantile and naive is this man? The Guardian from the UK has the info:

Officials of Barack Obama’s administration have drafted a letter to Iran from the president aimed at unfreezing US-Iranian relations and opening the way for face-to-face talks, the Guardian has learned.

The US state department has been working on drafts of the letter since Obama was elected on 4 November last year. It is in reply to a lengthy letter of congratulations sent by the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on 6 November.

Diplomats said Obama’s letter would be a symbolic gesture to mark a change in tone from the hostile one adopted by the Bush administration, which portrayed Iran as part of an “axis of evil”.

It would be intended to allay the suspicions of Iran’s leaders and pave the way for Obama to engage them directly, a break with past policy.

State department officials have composed at least three drafts of the letter, which gives assurances that Washington does not want to overthrow the Islamic regime, but merely seeks a change in its behaviour. The letter would be addressed to the Iranian people and sent directly to Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, or released as an open letter.

One draft proposal suggests that Iran should compare its relatively low standard of living with that of some of its more prosperous neighbours, and contemplate the benefits of losing its pariah status in the west. Although the tone is conciliatory, it also calls on Iran to end what the US calls state sponsorship of terrorism.

The letter is being considered by the new secretary of state, Hillary Clinton, as part of a sweeping review of US policy on Iran. A decision on sending it is not expected until the review is complete.

In an interview on Monday with the al-Arabiya television network, Obama hinted at a more friendly approach towards the Islamic Republic.

Ahmadinejad said yesterday that he was waiting patiently to see what the Obama administration would come up with. “We will listen to the statements closely, we will carefully study their actions, and, if there are real changes, we will welcome it,” he said.

Ahmadinejad, who confirmed that he would stand for election again in June, said it was unclear whether the Obama administration was intent on just a shift in tactics or was seeking fundamental change. He called on Washington to apologise for its actions against Iran over the past 60 years, including US support for a 1953 coup that ousted the democratically elected government, and the US shooting down of an Iranian passenger plane in 1988.

The state department refused to comment yesterday on the draft letters.

US concern about Iran mainly centres on its uranium enrichment programme, which Washington claims is intended to provide the country with a nuclear weapons capability. Iran claims the programme is for civilian purposes.

The diplomatic moves are given increased urgency by fears that Israel might take unilateral action to bomb Iranian nuclear facilities.

The scale of the problem facing the new American president was reinforced yesterday when a senior aide to Ahmadinejad, Aliakbar Javanfekr, said that, despite the calls from the US, Iran had no intention of stopping its nuclear activities. When asked about a UN resolution calling for the suspension of Iran’s uranium enrichment, Javanfekr, the presidential adviser for press affairs, replied: “We are past that stage.”

One of the chief Iranian concerns revolves around suspicion that the US is engaged in covert action aimed at regime change, including support for separatist groups in areas such as Kurdistan, Sistan-Baluchestan and Khuzestan.

The state department has repeatedly denied that there is any American support for such groups.

In its dying days, the Bush administration was planning to open a US interests section in the Iranian capital Tehran, one step down from an embassy. Bush’s secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, said that never happened because attention was diverted by the Russian invasion of Georgia. Others say that rightwingers in the Bush administration mounted a rearguard action to block it.

The idea has resurfaced, but if there are direct talks with Iran, it may be decided that a diplomatic presence would obviate the need for a diplomatic mission there, at least in the short term.

While Obama is taking the lead on policy towards Iran, the administration will soon announce that Dennis Ross will become a special envoy to the country, following the appointments last week of George Mitchell, the veteran US mediator, as special envoy to the Middle East, and Richard Holbrooke, who helped to broker the Bosnia peace agreement, as special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Ross, who took a leading role in the Middle East peace talks in Bill Clinton’s administration, will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for implementing policy towards Iran.

In a graphic sign of Iranian mistrust, the hardline newspaper Kayhan, which is considered close to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has denounced Ross as a “Zionist lobbyist”.

Saeed Leylaz, a Tehran-based analyst, said a US letter would have to be accompanied by security guarantees and an agreement to drop economic sanctions. “If they send such a letter it will be a very significant step towards better ties, but they should be careful in not thinking Tehran will respond immediately,” he said.

“There will be disputes inside the system about such a letter. There are lot of radicals who don’t want to see ordinary relations between Tehran and Washington. To convince Iran, they should send a very clear message that they are not going to try to destroy the regime.”
