Que? Corrupt Bill Richardson says adios to being Commerce Secretary

asm_richardson2.jpgFor a man who claims to be the agent of “change” and “hope”, and who the media calls “uber-cool” and loves posting manboob pics about on a daily basis, Obama’s “transition” to the White House has been anything but uber-cool. Most notable has been the pay to play scandal involving Blago, and possibly Obama and/or Rahm Emanuel. Well add another crook to the of Obama’s pals. Some of you may remember last month the story about the federal investigtion regarding Bill Richardson’s connections to a consultancy already linked to a pay-for-play scandal in Alabama. Well it looks like the “pollos” of Bill Richardson’s pay-to-play scandal have come home to roost.  More than likely the first of many ethics-tainted Obama nominations to go down in flames. Adios, Bill. Even the MSM can’t hide this one:

NBC reporting:

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, tapped in December by President-elect Barack Obama to serve as secretary of Commerce, has withdrawn his name for the position, citing a pending investigation into a company that has done business with his state.

“Let me say unequivocally that I and my Administration have acted properly in all matters and that this investigation will bear out that fact,” he said Sunday in a report by NBC News. “But I have concluded that the ongoing investigation also would have forced an untenable delay in the confirmation process.”
