Cornyn’s Courage
Yesterday I read that Senator John Cornyn was actually doing something about the concerns that so many of us have regarding Senator Hillary Clinton’s appointment as Secretary of State. Hurrah! I am overjoyed to realize that at least one Republican Member of Congress has some guts. Cornyn does not represent my state, but he does represent my feelings. Do you remember how Congress pulled back in granting amnesty to illegals when so many of us spoke directly to our senators and representatives through phone calls and emails? I sent Cornyn an email last night telling him how I feel and how I appreciate what he is doing. Let’s not be content with telling each other that what is happening is wrong. Let’s tell each and every person in a position to do something constructive that we will support them when they act courageously.
