Keep your themorstats at 68 degrees (Unless you are Hussein Obama)

You know global warming needs to be dealt with and all? With one of the coldest winters on record so far, snow in Las Vegas late last year, surely the polar ice caps are just days away from melting, and we are all doomed. Just ask Algore. Last week, Barack Obama caused quite a stir when he allowed himself to be photographed in the Oval Office without wearing a suit jacket, ending the Bush tradition of coat-and-tie for the West Wing.  The New York Times reports on how Obama made that possible during a colder-than-usual Washington winter.  All Obama did was turn up the thermostat to Hawaii hothouse levels:

The capital flew into a bit of a tizzy when, on his first full day in the White House, President Obama was photographed in the Oval Office without his suit jacket. There was, however, a logical explanation: Mr. Obama, who hates the cold, had cranked up the thermostat.

“He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?” said Mr. Obama’s senior adviser, David Axelrod, who occupies the small but strategically located office next door to his boss. “He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”

Thus did a rule of the George W. Bush administration — coat and tie in the Oval Office at all times — fall by the wayside, only the first of many signs that a more informal culture is growing up in the White House under new management. Mr. Obama promised to bring change to Washington and he has — not just in substance, but in presidential style.

    Seriously, all that you ex-patriots have to talk about is the temperature of Obama’s white house. I love how talking negatively about Bush was considered unpatriotic and now these same talking heads emerge on the other side of the argument when its not their guy running the show. I am worried about the economy, where our troops will be sent or not sent, and the ability of someone to restore the international leadership of the US that made us the superpower we are today. Obama’s white house temperature is of zero importance, and little daggers like this are read and enjoyed only by those who adhere to the foulest thoughts of the president of OUR United States, that includes you. Lets come together and fight for the country that has given everyone so much through good and bad. If Obama tanks the economy, talk about it, makes poor decisions with our troops, by all means voice your opinion, but this is just to much searching for any moderates taste. The reason that this country isnt what it was in the 50′s is this mentality of bashing the other side at all costs, like we arent all Americans.
