New RNC chairman – Michael Steele!

For the first time in history, the RNC chairman is an African American – Micheal Steele! I like the choice, and it seems most conservatives do as well. I wonder now, will everyone in the media get all choked up and break down a cry now that history has been made with the first African American RNC chairman? Or is that only reserve for the closet muslim Barack Hussein Obama and liberal candidates?

Wow, you mean he’s African-American? I really didn’t know! (I guess I need to watch more TV, or listen to less radio.) It’s like a bonus, I guess — I liked Mr. Steele’s robust conservatism. The GOP — the Party of Lincoln — whoo hoo! Go Michael!

As a Black woman and a Democrat, the choice of Michael Steele rings as disingenuous. It also shows just how desperate the Republicans have become to maintain power at any costs.
To actually assume that Blacks and other minorities will desert the Democratic party in droves just because of this choice is laughable at best. At worst, it insults my intelligence. The simplistic assumption that I ,or other minorities will instantly identify with Mr. Steele and join forces with Republicans just because of 1 token election is laughable and pathetic. Here’s a brilliant suggestion for the Republican party – keep promoting the ideas of Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter, the late Storm Thurmond, and Karl Rove. They seem to strengthen and energize your base. Keep pathetic circus appointments such as this to a minimum. Sorry, the minority communities aren’t buying the swill you’re trying to sell !!! BTW, why didn’t the Republican party just elect Rush Limbaugh or Sarah Palin as it’ s chairman, they seem to be the standard bearers of the Republican party’s ideas. When they speak, the Republican party’s primary base drools in anticipation. LOL!!!

I hope people realize that Michael was elected as the chairman (leader) of the RNC because of his qualification and NOT because he is black. The RNC is not seeking African Amercans ( BTW-I am a black man) who want to join the Republican party because of the election of Michael Steele. We want African Americans (and everyone else) who are NOT politically ignorant but those who take some time to understand the manifesto of the republican party. African Americans should know that they are not voting for the head of a party but for the manifesto of the party. God help us !!!!!

What, now we go and find our own “magic Negro”?

This is a very, very sad day for America. The election of Steele proves that the Republican party will not go in the direction they need to for the sake of our country. They can expect to be in the minority for quite some time to come.

Are you a true conservative or just a kool aid drinker? If you are a true conservative then you would listen to what this other true conservative has to say about him.

Steve Deace is so right about him.

He’s a RINO. On that we can be clear. This proves that the Republican Party’s move to the Left might be a permanent legacy of the Bush years.
