All these people move in with no money to these townhomes and then end up not paying the maintenance fee or their water/sewer bills and all they do is complain. If they don't pay the fee, they should not complain. POA's and HOA's are really in debt because people can't pay. If you can't afford it when property taxes, or mortgages increase, then go out and rent. I am a home owner and now I wish I was a renter instead. We paid our mortgage payments on time every month just like we were supposed to. It wasn't always easy but we never missed a payment. We are now renters and resent the fact that we, our 16-month-old grandson & our one month old granddaughter are being told we will be making their payments for the rest of our lives. That stinks. I feel our country is in the midst of committing suicide and ruining the principles that it was founded on. I see corruption, abuse of power, greed, etc. What horrible examples to pass on to our children. If you can't afford it, don't buy it! If you bought it and can't afford it, let it go. If you take a loss, that's your lesson in life. Vehicles are repossessed if you don't make your payments. Live within your means. That's Life! God bless all those who work hard. This is our 2nd marriage and we have 4 kids between us. My husband is a firefighter and I am an x-ray tech,so we make decent money. When we got married in 2004 we tried to find a house and we could have gotten one of those crooked mortgages,but we sat down and figured out there was no way we could afford it. We could pay the mortgage and maybe some bills,but there was no money left for food and clothes. It just isn't fair that now I have to bail other people out who made the mistake that I did not. Thank God I have great parents who wanted me to be able to save for a good down payment,but at the same time they have to deal with us when they are supposed to be enjoying there retirement. I just want to know am I going to get help when I'm ready to buy my house. I feel like that dream is slipping. We have lost so much money in the market that I feel like I am statrting over for my down payment. It's just not fair.
