Breaking News: Second Jack Murtha-tied company raided by FBI
Everything Pork King and calling you racist if you don’t kiss up to B. Hussein Obama, Jack Murtha touches turns to political gangrene. ABC News has the latest scoop:
The FBI raided the offices of a defense lobbying firm with close ties to Democratic Rep. John Murtha (Penn.), sources tell ABC News.
The FBI searched the Virginia headquarters of the PMA Group in November, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. PMA was founded by former Murtha aide Paul Magliochetti and specializes in winning earmarked taxpayer funds for its clients.
Good government groups have long criticized Murtha’s cozy relationship with a handful of lobbyists and defense firms, ties that see millions of dollars in government spending go out from Murtha’s office, and hundreds of thousands in campaign donations come in. Murtha has said his earmarking has helped revive his economically depressed district.
PMA is the second company with close ties Murtha to be raided by federal agents recently. In January, agents from the FBI, the IRS and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service searched the office of Kuchera Industries and Kuchera Defense Systems, as well as the homes of the firms’ founders. The companies reportedly have received over $100 million in earmarks, thanks to Murtha’s efforts.
This month marks Murtha’s 35th year in office.
Pennsylvanians you got what you deserve.
The compromise we need! Porkulus “compromise” more expensive than original House-passed bill!
The CBO has just released its scoring of the Turncoat Caucus’s “compromise” porkulus plan.
As Hill staffers note, “CBO estimates that the package will cost $838.2 billion. This is $18.7 billion more than the House-passed bill.”
Michelle Malkin uploaded the CBO analysis in PDF format. Just click here.
Protests against Porkulus in Ft. Myers Florida tommorow
President B. Hussein Obama is scheduled to travel to Ft. Myers, Fla., tomorrow to pimp the porkulus again. Wonder if he’ll have some more troops in the background again? Disgusted taxpayers are holding a protest to counter the cult. If you are in the neighborhood, make your voice heard.
Info here.
Bond. Kit Bond: The only thing grand about the Grand Compromise is the price tag
Bond, Kit Bond.
Following him, Sen. Sessions tried one more time to get the Democrat majority to put his bipartisan E-verify amendment up for consideration. He pointed out that the exact same provision passed in the House 407-2.
Democrat Sen. Max Caucus says it would be “prudent to object” — without giving a single good reason the Senate shouldn’t ensure that stimulus money only goes to law-abiding workers.
Democrat Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska is defending the Turncoat Caucus plan.
He just called it “lean.”
If the trillion-dollar-spendulus is “lean,” Oprah Winfrey is anorexic.
Tax cheat Tom Daschle’s revenge: Porkulus also a universal health care Trojan Horse
Tax cheats like Tom Daschle ways of getting what they want anyway, especially when it comes to B. Hussein Obama in charge:
Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama’s stimulus bill contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash infusions to jump-start the economy.
Tragically, no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion. These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department.
Senators should read these provisions and vote against them because they are dangerous to your health. (Page numbers refer to H.R. 1 EH, pdf version).
The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.
But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”
B. Hussein Obama back to doing what he does best – hitting the campaign trial in Elkhart, IN
During the campaign, critics and opponents noted that the only real track record Obama had built in thirteen years of politics was campaigning for something else. Three weeks into his new administration, he’s found governing to be difficult, especially when trying to shove a partisan porkfest down the throats of an increasingly skeptical public. Time to go back to campaign mode! It apparently beats pulling the bill back for a chance to offer Republicans some input to get a bill that would generate easy support and passage.
Que? Sen. Sessions still fighting for citizenship verification amendment
Michelle Malkin heard from Sen. Sessions’ office about the bipartisan amendment to ensure that stimulus fund recipients perform E-verify citizenship vetting before spending our tax dollars. Good news:
“…the E-Verify fight isn’t over. We just re-filed the amendment which is modified to fit the Collins/Nelson substitute. We can still object to a UC [unanimous consent] to accept the manager’s amendment unless we get a vote on E-Verify.”
She’s uploaded the amendment text (pdf) here.
More proof about his the so called porkulus ‘compromise’ is a crock of sh… How about $3 million for golf carts?
Hope and change! WE MUST PASS THIS PORKULUS BILL NOW! Here’s a handy list of pork in the Sellout Substitute Amendment from the Turncoat Caucus:

The golf cart stimulus can be found in Section 1151 of the “compromise” text and here.
Who’s behind this? The “neighborhood electric vehicles” — souped-up golf carts — that would benefit most are manufactured in North Dakota.
How about $50 billion for “mandatory mortgage modifications”?
Porkulus: It’s what’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the Senate floor.
Mark Sanford is a gets it! Check out his absolutely perfect description of how bailout-mania savior-based economy has transformed this country to the United Socialist States of America
USSA! USSA! USSA! USSA! Mark Sanford gets it, why can’t everyone else?
As many state and local officials clamor for their share of the billions of dollars in federal aid in the stimulus bill under consideration in Washington, South Carolina’s Republican governor is sounding a note of dissent about federal efforts to help the economy.
“A problem that was created by building up of too much debt will not be solved with yet more debt,” Gov. Mark Sanford said Sunday, making a reference to the federal deficit spending that will likely finance the federal stimulus package.
“We’re moving precipitously close to what I would call a savior-based economy,” Sanford also said Sunday on CNN’s State of the Union.
The South Carolina Republican said such an economy is “what you see in Russia or Venezuela or Zimbabwe or places like that where it matters not how good your product is to the consumer but what your political connection is to those in power.”
“That is quite different than a market-based economy where some rise and some fall but there’s a consequence to making a stupid decision,” Sanford said after pointing to the powers granted to the Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve to help deal with the current economic crisis.
“A lot of people who’ve made some very stupid decisions are being bailed out by the population at large,” he added.
Heres a look at your “savior-based economy”
B. Hussein Obama refuses to salute marine, gives handshake instead!
After B. Hussein Obama’s fear mongering speaking to the House Democratic Issues Conference Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009 in Williamsburg, VA, earlier in the evening, as he left the White House to begin his trip, the president broke with tradition, according to a pool reporter. As he boarded Marine One, the helicopter that would take him to Andrews Air Force Base, the president seemed to stun the Marine who was standing at attention by reaching out to shake his hand. The Marine shook the president’s hand, then returned to his steady salute. Aboard the plane, the president wore a new blue jacket stitched with the words Air Force One in cursive and the presidential seal on his right side and “Barack Obama” on the left side. “I’ve got my spiffy jacket so I thought I’d come and show it off,” he joked with reporters. “What do you think about this spiffy ride? It’s not bad.”
Taxcheat Stamps! Strike back at tax cheat Tim Geithner
I think it’s time for a comeback for civil disobedience. The only thing that angers me more than the rampant elitism and corruption in our government is that apparent tolerance for it that was demonstrated most recently with the appointment of what is almost certainly a tax cheat as the Treasury Secretary. Surely I am not alone in wondering why I am a big enough sap to pay tens of thousands of dollars in Federal taxes each and every year, while our Washington bureaucrats seem to get away consequence free with a pattern of cheating and fraud. And please, don’t tell me Tom Daschle didn’t get away with it. Sure, he lost his position for a cabinet position, but don’t you think he will be laughing all the way back to his millions-a-year “consulting” gig? Will he be prosecuted for his fraud like I would be? Did he pay any penalties? No, and no.
Since my single, solitary vote is nothing more that a BB in a machine gun world, I intend to start practicing civil disobedience. In the case of Treasury Secretary Geithner, I am going to have a rubber stamp made that says “Tax Cheat!” in block letters. Every time I see a piece of paper currency with Geithner’s signature on it, I am going to stamp over his name with my Tax Cheat stamp. Sure, this action is just as futile as my vote, but eventually maybe others will reach the same conclusion that I have: it is far past time to make our voices heard.
Dave has a link to an inexpensive stampmaker at his blog, or you can go to taxcheatstamps.com — until, that is, Dear Leader and Dear Treasury Tax Cheater move to shut them down.
Remember: Dissent is no longer patriotic.
Andale andale, ariba ariba – Stimulus for Illegal Aliens! Harry Reid blocks bipartisan amendment requiring citizenship verification for stimulus recipients
I guess B. Hussein Obama is more of a Speedy Gonzales, than an actual American President, and thats why he wants this porkulus bill passed so quickly. Today, GOP Sen. Jeff Sessions and Democrat Sen. Ben Nelson attempted several times to bring their bipartisan amendment to the floor last week. SA 239 would require local governments and businesses that receive porkulus money to use the federal E-Verify citizenship check system.
On the House side, a long term extension of the E-Verify program passed there 407-2 (Conservative Oasis).
But Democrat Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid refused to allow it to come to the floor. Now, we’re headed for cloture.
“While it is difficult to believe that Senate leaders might insist that illegal aliens have the same chance at new stimulus jobs as unemployed Americans, this scenario may now be at hand,” says Roy Beck of Numbers USA. “SA 239 is now unlikely to receive a floor vote.”
The provision is not included in the Sellout Substitute Amendment forged by the Turncoat Caucus and the Democrats.
Creepy NY Times writer Judith Warner dreams of sex with Obama
Ok folks. Its bad enough with the media’s lovefest of B. Hussein Obama from the point of them defending anything and everything he does. Its even more disturbing when the media writes about and praises his “chest” or reporters mention the “thrill” they get up their legs when he speaks. But I think it may be safe to say that this New York Times writer Judith Warner may have finally taken the cake with this ObamaCult mentality. Here’s a snippet from her article:
The other night I dreamt of Barack Obama. He was taking a shower right when I needed to get into the bathroom to shave my legs, and then he was being yelled at by my husband, Max, for smoking in the house. It was not clear whether Max was feeling protective of the president’s health or jealous because of the cigarette.
The other day a friend of mine confided that in the weeks leading up to the election, the Obamas’ apparent joy as a couple had made her just miserable. Their marriage looked so much happier than hers. Their life seemed so perfect. “I was at a place where I was tempted daily to throttle my husband,” she said. “This coincided with Michelle saying the most beautiful things about Barack. Each time I heard her speak about him I got tears in my eyes — because I felt so far away from that kind of bliss in my own life and perhaps even more, because I was so moved by her expressions of devotion to him. And unlike previous presidential couples, they are our age, have children the same age and (just imagine the stress of daily life on the campaign) by all accounts should have been fighting even more than we were.”
Someone please do a Howard Dean scream for me!
Michael Steele speaks the truth: The Democrats’ power has gone to their heads
Fine on substance but a bit more stilted in delivery than I expected from a guy so media savvy, especially given the base’s passion on this subject. Steele’s used to going off the cuff in his role as telepundit; see, e.g., his RNC acceptance speech for how comfortable he is speaking extemporaneously. Maybe he should prep for these things that way — start with an outline of points and then do it impromptu in a few takes, stitching together the best parts of each. He needs to be on his game, as the media will be itching to compare him unfavorably to The One and these weekend message duels give them a perfect excuse. Also, can we give the man a set worthy of his station? Obama’s been using warm lighting and handsome wood-paneled offices as backdrops for his video communiques since the primaries. This looks like it was shot during a commercial break on “Hannity.”
And now the power hungry democrats and liberal biased media Washington Post has started some false rumors about Steele (just like they did about Palin when she was selected as McCain’s running mate). Federal investigators have begun looking into claims that Steele diverted campaign funds from his 2006 Senatorial run in Maryland to family members, but the Post has found at least some support for Steele as well. Michael Steele appeared on This Week with George Stephanopoulos to refute charges leveled yesterday by the Washington Post that he had misdirected campaign funds to his sister.
Proud to be an American! Where I know I can be “unpatriotic”
So, President Obama phoned the Senate GOP sellouts Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, and Arlen Specter and praised them Friday night for showing their “patriotism” by cutting a trillion-dollar, backroom deal to mortgage our children and grandchildren’s future.
If that is “patriotism,” then I’m proud to be an unpatriot.
How about you?
The generational thieves question our patriotism.
I question their math. I question their morality. I question their sanity.
Kill the bill. Stab it. Stick a fork in it. Then start from scratch.
The New York Liberal Times disses the anti Prop-8 mob?
Hell is frozen over. The New York Times has finally come to the realization that the anti-Prop. 8 mob in California is intimidating traditional marriage supporters with its blacklist maps.
What took them so damn long?
FOR the backers of Proposition 8, the state ballot measure to stop single-sex couples from marrying in California, victory has been soured by the ugly specter of intimidation.
Some donors to groups supporting the measure have received death threats and envelopes containing a powdery white substance, and their businesses have been boycotted.
The targets of this harassment blame a controversial and provocative Web site, eightmaps.com.
…The site pits…cherished values against each other: political transparency and untarnished democracy versus privacy and freedom of speech.
“When I see those maps, it does leave me with a bit of a sick feeling in my stomach,” said Kim Alexander, president of the California Voter Foundation, which has advocated for open democracy.
The Porkulus is here and its *ONLY* 778 pages long!
The full, cave-in “compromise” porkulus amendment of GOP Sens. Collins, Specter, and Snowe finally arrived in Michelle Malkin’s inbox tonight at 11:14pm Eastern.
So, your representatives of the “most deliberative body in the world” have barely a day to digest and debate the 778-page legislative text before rushing to vote on cloture Monday evening.
Like Dave Ramsey says: “Desperate always reap stupid.”

Get out your hip-waders.
Highlights coming.
In the meantime, make note of this observation from Justin Hart in response to the earlier chart outlining the Sellout Amendment’s bottom-line spending statistics (which I blogged about this afternoon here):
[figures in the thousands]
Agriculture: $5,109,430
Commerce: $21,513,000
Defense: $3,746,000
Energy & Water: $53,843,000
Financial & Gen. Govt: $10,762,000
Homeland Security: $5,076,700
Interior: $11,643,600
Labor, HHS, Education: $169,184,000
Military & VA: $7,428,295
THUD: $60,580,500
Appropriations: $365,629,525 (of course, this one isn’t broken out)

Thanks Collins, Snowe, and Spectre you turncoats!
FREEPERS RISE UP! March on the Senate Monday and Tuesday! Stop the Porkulus Coup d’Etat
Tired of the Porkulus/Liberal BS? Join the March!
MEET UP 10 A.M. MONDAY AT SPECTER’S OFFICE 711 HART SENATE OFFICE BUILDING
You do not need a leader, you do not need an organizer, you do not need a permit. You only need the desire to stop this bill before it’s too late. After Tuesday it will be too late.
Throw out your schedule, take the days off, hop on a plane, a train, a bus, get in your car, take the Metro, take a cab and go!
Take your case directly to the Senate. Descend on the offices of Specter, Collins and Snowe. Fill their offices with passionate opponents of the Porkulus Bill. You do not have to do dumb things to get yourself arrested. Do smart things to get your point across.
Stop by the offices of the good guys and show them your support.
Visit the bad guys’ offices and give them a piece of your mind.
The stakes are the fate of this Nation. A Marxist coup d’etat is taking place with a $1 trillion dollars of debt that will bankrupt this country and sentence future generations of Americans to being slaves of government and debt.
Again, you don’t need a leader, an organizer or a permit. You don’t need fancy protest signs, but bring a sign if you wish. You don’t need talking points or a big name speaker. You know the issues. Speak out for yourself.
If you live in the D.C. area, or can get away for the day–do it! It’s now or never. They need to see us in their faces.
If enough of you show up on Monday and Tuesday, you will find each other and form a group, a mob or even a rabble. We need a good rabble on Capitol Hill. It’s up to you.
Porkulus math 101: The so called Susan Collins/Nelson “compromise”
We still don’t have the actual, full text of the Collins/Nelson porkulus “compromise” plan, but we do have a financial breakdown of the changes the cave-in Senators have proposed. The Senate Conservatives Fund has posted the math — and remember, this chart does NOT include the money added by the Senate amendments (close to $50 billion in extra spending).
Senators Ben Nelson (D-Nebraska) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) have said repeatedly that their goal was to eliminate those parts of the bill that are not stimulative. But this document shows that this spending has not been eliminated, but only reduced. If this spending does not stimulate (and it most certainly does not), then why not eliminate it completely?
And if the goal was to simply lower the price of the plan to protect taxpayers, the Nelson-Collins deal fails in that effort as well. At $827 billion, the compromise will cost $7 billion MORE than the bill passed by Nancy Pelosi in the House.
The goal here isn’t to help the economy, or the public. this is just a big payoff to the union thugs, acorn, and the other pets of the democRAT party…sow the wind, reap the whirlwind…and that will be inflation beyond what we have ever known in this country…the currency will collapse…pop goes the country…it was fun while it lasted…
B. Hussein Obama’s Katrina – Kentucky still suffering as of Feb 7th, 2009
The Kentucky ice storm is still making life hard for residents while Hussein Obama does nothing about it, and continues to party and fear monger the stupid people into buying his porkulus bull sh.. Anyway check out some e-mails from Kentucky residents to Michelle Malkin:
