House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is at the Washington Press Club Foundation’s dinner tonight along with other Beltway lawmakers.
Lots of MSM types Twittering the event, including Roll Call and WaPo’s The Sleuth. From all reports, it sounds like Pelosi and company are yukking it up. Glad they can laugh while they and their colossal failure of a “stimulus” package have become the biggest joke in America.
Pelosi apparently joked that times are so tough at the NYTimes that when Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner gets a call from the paper, he doesn’t know if it’s a media inquiry or a bailout request.
She also made fun of President Obama’s ears, saying his e-mail address is “I’m all ears at whitehouse.com.”
Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar made a joke that would have had Rush Limbaugh boycotted by GLAAD if he had made it. She quipped: “I raised $17,000 from ex-boyfriends. Barney Frank holds that record in the House.”
And the Sleuth at WaPo adds that she overheard Pelosi saying she “wants to pee on the Washington Times.

Here’s a great example as to why even I was against the Iraq war before it started. Those middle east muslim country don’t give two sh*ts about getting rid of their dictator and having ree elections. The development had some analysts puzzled as to how the terrorist networks got women to agree to martyr themselves, as most of their recruitment efforts had focused on radical young men. Samira Jassam, self-described as “the mother of all believers”, masterminded an effort to rape women as a means of shaming them into suicide for Islamist terrorists. Instead of us spending millions of dollars to help these muslims, put it to use here in America? Of course, the problem with that is, it will just go to a bunch of useless crap that Pelosi and Co. make up anyway.
B. Hussein Obama wants U.S. nuke arsenal cut by 80%
HOPE AND CHANGE! This should make you feel really safe shouldn’t it? We got Russia starting up like its the 80s, we got PALK-EE-STAN with Nukes, we got Iran almost with technology to make nuke weapons, and of course North Korea. So then why does B. Hussein Obama want to cut 80% of the U.S.’s nukes? President Obama plans to offer Russia a deal whereby each country would reduce its nuclear weapons stockpile by 80%, the Times of London reported today. The proposal is consistent with Obama’s previous calls on the campaign trail for the elimination of all the world’s nuclear weapons, arguing the Cold War is over. Obama’s statements came even while Russia reportedly worked to revive its Cold War-era naval activities and weapons supply channels to former allies in a clear challenge to the U.S.
You think Russia will go for this? Somehow comrad Obama, i don’t think so, even though your over inflated ego may tell you otherwise.

As expected, the House today gave final approval to the S-CHIP government health care expansion funded with a massive tax hike on smokers. President Obama is set to sign the bill amid great “progressive” fanfare. The kiddie human shield strategy strikes again. Looks like Messiah Hussein will be paying a bit more for his cancer sticks.

Support for Porkulus Bill slips to 37% according to Rasmussen Stimulus poll
It never had a majority of support in the first place, but at least at first, the stimulus bill had a plurality in favor. No longer. Rasmussen’s polling shows that in two weeks, the numbers have flipped from 45-34 in support to 43-37 opposed:
Support for the economic recovery plan working its way through Congress has fallen again this week. For the first time, a plurality of voters nationwide oppose the $800-billion-plus plan.
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 37% favor the legislation, 43% are opposed, and 20% are not sure.
Two weeks ago, 45% supported the plan. Last week, 42% supported it.
Opposition has grown from 34% two weeks ago to 39% last week and 43% today.

We won’t get out of this mess by doing more of the same. Yet, that is precisely what we are doing,” Dr. Coburn said. “Instead of delivering change, this bill celebrates the politics of the past. The bill represents both the mindless partisanship of recent decades, and the failed interventionist policies of the 1930’s. The Senate can, and must, do much better. As currently written, this bill represents the worst act of generational theft in our nation’s history.” “This plan steals the future of the next two generations.”

He’s coming! Barney Frank wants more. But the first question is: Where are the limits on Fannie and Freddie corruptocrats’ executive pay? Have those been passed yet? Are they equal to the limits on private executives’ pay? Aside from FM AND FM, Barney Frank seems to have quite a bit more in mind:
Congress will consider legislation to extend some of the curbs on executive pay that now apply only to those banks receiving federal assistance, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank said.
“There’s deeply rooted anger on the part of the average American,” the Massachusetts Democrat said at a Washington news conference today.
He said the compensation restrictions would apply to all financial institutions and might be extended to include all U.S. companies.

Gen. Mansour al-Turki of the Saudi Interior Ministry told The Associated Press on Wednesday that among the 85 people listed by the government, 11 had been released from the U.S. detention facility in Cuba and passed through government-sponsored rehabilitation programs.
Only 11? Frankly i’m surprised the number isn’t higher. Oh, but those muslims were such the victims of tortue at Gitmo. Boo Hoo. BTW, even the Messiah B. Hussein’s Obama’s support for closing Gitmo isn’t exactly strong. In fact, only 44% of those polled in the latest Gallup poll are cool with it.

Thorough vetting, it seems, is an inconvenient process – a pesky “distraction,” if you will — in the Land of Hope and Change.

Bueller? Bueller? Ben Stein out as UVM commencement speaker
Ben Stein described the brouhaha over his selection as commencement speaker at the University of Vermont as “laughable” on Tuesday called the whole episode “pathetic.”…
“I am far more pro-science than the Darwinists,” Stein said later in an e-mail. “I want all scientific inquiry to happen — not just what the ruling clique calls science.”
Stein’s comments came a day after UVM President Dan Fogel announced that Stein, whom Fogel had invited to address UVM’s commencement in May, would not be coming after all. Fogel said that his selection of Stein generated an intense protest, that he received hundreds of angry e-mails over the weekend, and that after he shared these “profound concerns” with Stein, Stein “immediately and most graciously declined our commencement invitation.”…
Stein called the university’s response to the furor “chicken sh**, and you can quote me on that.”
“I like Dr. Fogel,” Stein wrote, “and feel sorry he is caught in the meat grinder of political correctness. My heart goes out to him. He’s a great guy trying to do his best in difficult circumstances.”
Kyrgyzstan to close U.S. base used to supply Afghanistan – Now what Messiah Hussein Obama?
In a setback to the escalating U.S. military efforts in Afghanistan , the president of Kyrgyzstan said Tuesday that his government will shut down the American air base in his country.
U.S. officials say that the Manas Air Base is vital to plans to send an additional 30,000 American troops to Afghanistan , a linchpin of President Barack Obama‘s efforts to pacify the country.
The announcement by President Kurmanbek Bakiyev came in Moscow , not in his own capital, and shortly after the Russian government reportedly agreed to lend Kyrgyzstan $2 billion , write off $180 million in debt and add another $150 million in aid. Although the Russian government didn’t release a statement about the decision, the timing and place of the announcement indicated that the Kremlin had been involved.
The Russian government has been pushing to restore its clout in the former Soviet sphere of influence — despite deep economic problems at home — a trend that most analysts say will make Obama’s dealings with Russia delicate at best.
“It’s a direct challenge to the new American administration. Russia is going out of its way to close an American base,” said Pavel Felgenhauer , a Moscow -based military analyst.
Maybe B. Hussein Obama can HOPE that Kyrgyzstan will CHANGE its minds.
Mortgage entitlement in porkulus bill to cost at least $200 billion
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham supports an economic stimulus bill but said Monday the current version spends in the wrong places.“The underlying problem of the economy nationally and worldwide is housing,” the Republican said. “We have a lot of people in foreclosure and a lot more people heading toward foreclosure.” Graham is working on legislation to give all homeowners the chance to refinance their mortgages at 4 percent interest. That would cost the government nearly $200 billion, he said, but would stabilize the housing market when combined with a larger tax credit for first-time homebuyers.

At least thats what Mr. President B. Hussein Obama candidly told the gleeful second-graders at Capital City Public Charter School.
On the rockiest day of his young administration, President Barack Obama did what surely made him happy for a while.
He left.
With little notice, the president and first lady Michelle Obama bolted the gated compound of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in their tank of a limousine on Tuesday. They ended up at a Washington public school, greeted by children who could not care less about the collapse of a Cabinet secretary nomination.
“We were just tired of being in the White House,” the president candidly told the gleeful second-graders at Capital City Public Charter School.
“We got out! They let us out!” Mrs. Obama said as the kids and their teachers laughed.
The White House said the Obamas’ trip had been planned, just not publicly announced.
The surprise timing, though, gave the feel of two different worlds.
At the White House, press secretary Robert Gibbs was getting grilled about Tom Daschle’s doomed nomination for health and human services secretary.
Meanwhile, the president was getting questions from boys and girls who are the same age as his seven-year-old daughter, Sasha.
One child asked him if he had a favorite superhero. Spiderman and Batman, the president answered.
500 million Americans will lose their jobs if Porkulus doesn’t pass, according to dumb as soap Nancy Pelosi.
Fear mongering at its finest, or just the stupidest thing ever said by a politican? Nancy Pelosi: Dumber than soap. Nancy claims that we lose 500 million American jobs each month we don’t pass her $1 trillion porkulus spending boondoggle. Imagine if you will had Dubya said anything this stupid. The MSM would’ve run it nonstop for years. I wonder what the follow-up question was. Someone better check into Nancy Pelosi’s taxes. At this rate, 167% of the country’s population will lose their jobs by the end of February if this porkulus doesn’t pass, and about 6 billion by the end of the year! THE HORRRRRRRROR!
