Hey Obama, you wanted to see the GOP’s budget alternative? You got it!

obamashamwow.jpgDespite basically being ignored over and over again by Nancy Pelosi and Obama regarding alternatives on the porkulus bill, the omnibus bill, etc. The GOP has offered up their alternate proposal to Obama’s inflated budget proposal. All we hear from the democrats, Nancy Pelosi, and Obama is that “Oh, they never give us any alternatives”. Well that excuse is no longer valid:

Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives today unveiled “The Republican Road to Recovery,” a document that outlines Republican solutions on the budget and other major issues facing the American people.  The GOP Road to Recovery plan was unveiled this morning on Capitol Hill just hours after Democrats rammed President Obama’s bloated FY 2010 budget through the House Budget Committee, building on the six budget principles that were outlined for President Obama last week by House Republican leaders.

    I do not think the word “budget” means what you think it means. The press conference was a joke. If you say you are going to give a budget, don’t give us a glossy brochure with zero specifics.

    This is not a budget. There are no details, no cuts, no numbers, nothing. Sixteen pages of “aspirations” with a nice cover.

    What it is, is an embarassment.
