Don’t expect much America – Obama says so.
Hussein Obama is out here in liberal hell, aka Los Angeles, still on the campaign trail, despite the fact he won the election back in November. He will be on the Jay Leno show tonight, and undoubtedly will be given a bunch of softball questions from Mr. Liberal Chins himself. Here’s a ‘highlight’ of his day so far in Los Angeles from Yahoo:
Facing largely adoring crowds far from Washington, President Barack Obama on Thursday asked Americans to back his far-reaching economic and health policies, but warned them not to expect too much from him or the federal government. With many Republicans and even some Democrats in Congress resisting his budget plans, Obama went into full campaign mode in California, using television, friendly audiences and his massive e-mail list to counter his critics.
Without naming names, he mocked Republican officials who call his plan too costly even though they presided over huge deficits while they controlled Congress and the White House.
“Where have you been?” he said to several hundred people at a raucous town-hall meeting in Los Angeles. “What have you been doing?”
In his second California town hall in as many days, Obama mixed cockiness with humility.
He told Americans not to expect “something for nothing” from their government. Improvements to the economy and health care will take time and require unusually large deficits for a while, he said.
Girly Man no more Ahnold? Schwarzenegger slurps Obama in L.A.
Who is the real governor of California? Is it Ahnold or Maria Shriver? The man who Schwarzenegger called a “girly-man” during the presidential campaign, is now apparently in love with Hussein Obama. The so called “Republican” governor who has raised taxes in California, to pay for all the the democrat social programs in the state, including welfare and health care for the illegals looked like Julio Osequedo today when Obama spoke to his cult members in liberal Los Angeles. Oh BTW, California sales tax will hit 10% in July.
You can no longer call terrorists, terrorists, you can’t use the term War on Terror, but Obama calls AIG Suicide Bombers?
Remember when Hussein Obama decided to give $900 million to Palestine to help them “rebuild“? The land of suicide bombers? You know we can’t use the terms terrorist or War on Terror? Well, our Messiah has no problem calling AIG basically suicide bombers:
But today, President Obama took that rhetoric in a different direction. He actually upped the ante explaining that AIG is like a suicide bomber.
“We had to step in, it was the right thing to do, even though it is infuriating,” Obama said, explaining why the government needed to bail out the troubled banks.
“The same is true with AIG,” he said. “It was the right thing to do to step in. Here’s the problem. It’s almost like they’ve got — they’ve got a bomb strapped to them and they’ve got their hand on the trigger. You don’t want them to blow up. But you’ve got to kind of talk them, ease that finger off the trigger.”
Megyn Kelly owns and destroys another fraud – this time the ‘victim’ is Acorn Spokesman Scott Levenson
Megyn Kelly destroys another fraud. This is almost becoming a daily occurance. So many frauds, so little time. Its good to see that at least someone in the media will take them to task and expose the lies and illegal activity! ACORN is criminal!
The first step towards fascism – House passes 90% tax on bonuses
It’s Unconstitutional for the Government to meddle in a legitimate contract. They should have thought about that before the money was given out. Oh wait they did and Chris Dodd stripped it out behind closed doors. This is NOT only the fault of the liberals, but also over 80 so called Republicans voted for this too.
Meet Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty – the latest RINO
According to Michelle Malkin and Minnesota Public Radio:
State officials say Minnesota is working on a pilot program to test the idea of charging drivers for each mile they drive. Other states around the country are considering a vehicle mileage tax, as revenues from the gas tax are expected to decline.
St. Paul, Minn. — The cost of each gallon of gas includes 18.4 cents to fund federal highway programs, and another 25.5 cents for roads in Minnesota.
But as cars and trucks get better mileage, the gas tax isn’t keeping pace with the need for roads and road work. So another option is gaining traction in Minnesota — a high-tech mileage-based user fee.
“We realize that in the future, cars aren’t going to be powered by fuel, probably,” said Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who signed into law $5 million for the current biennium to study the mileage tax.
Pawlenty said the state is now working on a pilot program to try it out, with an eye toward cars that aren’t even on the road yet…
…The idea is still in the planning stages for now, but the state Department of Transportation will likely ask for proposals on the technology this summer. Satellite technology and computers could turn literally turn every vehicle in Minnesota into a smart car.
The Political Circus continues – House to vote on 90% tax bill for bailout bonuses
Who needs Ringling Brothers when you have the clowns on Capital Hill? Never mind the fact that Chris Dodd crook is the one who put this not so little loophole into the original bill to begin with, never mind the fact that the clueless idiots in the White House, or Tax Cheat Geithner knew about these bonuses already and didn’t do a thing about it, but what about the legal ramifications? Oh BTW, did you know that the clowns in DC can also perform magic tricks? While everyone was focused on the AIG bonus rage, and the Banking Queen’s talking/spitting, did you know that the Federal Reserve announced that it would pump an extra $1 trillion into the financial system by purchasing Treasury bonds and mortgage securities?
Another tainted Obama cabinet member Gary Locke on his way to confirmation
I guess third time is the charm for Hussein Obama and the Commerce Secretary post. First it was El Pollo Richardson, aka pay to play Bill Ricardson who had to step down because of the pay to play scandal. Then it was Judd Gregg, a New Hampshire Republican Senator who withdrew because he released what a crook Obama is, and how Obama and crew are trying to manipulate the 2010 census. Next up is Gary Locke who had no problems it seemed during his confirmation hearings. This despite the fact the former Washington State Governor was forced to refund several political donations that he received in the 1990s from key figures in a Chinese influence-buying investigation. From the Washington Times:
Commerce Secretary nominee Gary Locke, whose job would include approving sensitive exports to China, has performed legal work for companies doing business with Beijing and was forced to refund several political donations that he received in the 1990s from key figures in a Chinese influence-buying investigation.
The former Washington state governor is expected to face questions about both issues during his confirmation hearing on Wednesday, Senate aides and an Obama administration official familiar with the vetting told The Washington Times.
Mr. Locke was the first Chinese-American to become governor when Washington state voters elected him in 1996, and he served two terms. Since leaving the governor’s mansion in 2005, Mr. Locke has been working with the Seattle law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP as part of its China practice, which has offices in Shanghai.
Maybe I’ll be called ‘racist’ for my disapproval of Locke because he’s Chinese.
Say it ain’t so Joe! 21st century Dan Quayle Joe Biden with another classic quote – admits Obama was only right about ONE thing with porkulus
Michelle Malkin has the audio and the transcript of real man of genious Joe Biden admits that Hussein Obama was only right about one thing when it comes to the porklus. “You don’t mess with Joe”. He also may be coming to a city near you very soon:
JIM LEHRER: Vice President Biden had a new warning for city and county officials today: spend the federal stimulus money wisely. The officials were in Washington for a day of schooling on the $787 billion program. Biden urged them not to use it for things like swimming pools, tennis courts, or golf courses.
JOSEPH BIDEN, Vice President of the United States: Because of the rules, the president and I can’t stop you from doing some things, but I’ll show up in your city and say, “This was a stupid idea.”
You think I’m kidding? This is the only part the president was right about: Don’t mess with Joe, because I mean it. I’m serious, guys. I’m serious. I’m absolutely serious.
Obama’s $500,000 book deal disclosed!
Heres another Obama gem, from the Washington Times:
As he empathized with recession-weary Americans, President Obama arranged in the days just before he took office to secure a $500,000 advance for a children’s book project, a disclosure report shows.
The terms of the book deal were disclosed in a Senate financial disclosure report filed Tuesday.
Analysts say there don’t appear to be any rules that would bar such transactions after a president takes office, but it’s unclear whether an incoming or sitting president has ever signed a book deal upon entering the White House.
“I don’t recall any sitting president entering into a book deal,” said campaign finance lawyer Jan Baran, former general counsel to the Republican National Committee. “They all have historically done that after they leave office.
Obama to speak in prime time again March 23
Obama is planning on once again speaking to the public during primetime on Tuesday, March 23 (bumping shows like American Idol).
According to The Live Feed, it seems like the networks are getting a bit upset with Obama interrupting their prime time schedules for all his primetime addresses:
“At a time when we’re struggling not only financially but to build audiences, this doesn’t help on either front,” one network executive said. “These repeated interruptions — and the rumor of even more to come — really make it difficult to build audience flow and loyalty. We will all lose one or two million dollars for this.”
and
“But these frequent primetime requests are wreaking serious havoc with our schedule and our advertisers. Ratings are down everywhere and the airtime is costing us all significant dollars when we can least afford it.”
Maybe he will take time out of his ‘busy’ day to reveal to America his “revised” NCAA college basketball brackets?
Chris Fraud, err Dodd admits to AIG bonus protection loophole he put into the original porkulus!
The truth comes out, slowly but surely. Senator Chris Dodd finally admitted to CNN that he was infact the one responsible for adding the bonus loophole into the stimulus package that permitted AIG and other companies that received bailout funds to pay bonuses. This is a complete 360 (to use a CNN term) from Tuesday, when Dodd flat out denied to CNN that he had anything to do with the loophole. But its not Dodd’s fault (according to Dodd). He now says The Treasury Department was responsible for inserting exemptions into the stimulus bill that allowed bailout recipients to receive bonuses.
Obama to spend another $3.5 TRILLION?
We are already at the largest national debt in US history at $11 trillion, how about another $3.5 TRILLION (with a T) to be spent by the Hussein Obama dictatorship? First this AP Story which explains $1.5 trillion over the next decade for Hussein Obama’s socialized health care plan:
Your lungs may work just fine, but the estimated price for universal health care could take your breath away.
Health policy experts say guaranteeing coverage for all Americans may cost about $1.5 trillion over the next decade. That would be more than double the $634 billion ‘down payment’ President Barack Obama set aside for health reform in his budget.
About 48 million people are uninsured, and the problem is only expected to get worse because the cost of coverage keeps rising.
Still, administration officials have pointedly avoided providing a ballpark estimate for Obama’s fix, saying it depends on details to be worked out with Congress.
“It’s impossible to put a price tag on the plan before even the basics have been finalized,” said White House spokesman Reid Cherlin. “Here’s what we do know: The reserve fund in the president’s budget is fully paid for and provides a substantial down payment on the cost of the reforming our health care system.”
Ok.. Now how about the next $2 trillion? According to the Washington Times, Hussein Obama’s climate plan could cost industry close to $2 trillion. Yes folks. $2 TRILLION for climate change:
President Obama’s climate plan could cost industry close to $2 trillion, nearly three times the White House’s initial estimate of the so-called “cap-and-trade” legislation, according to Senate staffers who were briefed by the White House.
A top economic aide to Mr. Obama told a group of Senate staffers last month that the president’s climate-change plan would surely raise more than the $646 billion over eight years the White House had estimated publicly, according to multiple a number of staffers who attended the briefing Feb. 26.
“We all looked at each other like, ‘Wow, that’s a big number,’” said a top Republican staffer who attended the meeting along with between 50 and 60 other Democratic and Republican congressional aides.
Botox Nancy Pelosi – ICE enforcing border laws is ‘un-american’
As mentioned yesteday, as we more closer to amnesty for illegals, and LA MIGRA is no longer a scary phrase, Nancy Pelosi asserts that enforcement actions by ICE are “un-American.” WHAT?! Oh right, San Francisco Values.
Washington hypocrite theater – The AIG comedy show – An oscar worthy performance
Michelle Malkin has a syndicated column today looks at the award-winning performances of Washington hypocrites outraged by the AIG entitlement beast they nurtured through four massive bailout infusions. BTW, you can also watch the Michelle Malkin on the Glenn Beck show video from earlier on Wednesday.
After the St. Patricks party at the White House, where Obama thanked himself, Obama heads off to Jay Leno
As the country continues to struggle, as the country looks to its leaders for solutions, what does the so called Messiah do? After last night’s teleprompter screwup in which he thanked himself, after yet another expensive tax payer funded party at the White House, Hussein Obama heads off to L.A. to hit the entertainment scene. Thursday night he will be on the Jay Leno show. Too bad he couldn’t schedule it for tonight, theres a Lakers game tommorow in L.A., he could have sat courtside with his nose in the air with all the other liberals in the entertainment industry there.
Speaking of executive bonuses, where are the questions on Fannie an Freddy?
With all the talk, and whining regarding AIG’s bonuses that they are contractly obligated to pay out, which the Hussein idiots such as tax cheat Geithner should have known about in the first place, wheres all the uproar over the Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac bonus packages? According to their annual report, (h/t Hotair), Freddie Mac has pretty nice retention bonus plan built into its operation for the next year. Eligibility includes all of the senior and executive VPs. It comes in four payouts, and only the last has any connection to company performance. So Barney Frank, when do the questions begin about these bonuses? Oh BTW, the banking queen himself Barney Frank rather flippantly dismissed the death threats against AIG executives. Edward Liddy CEO of AIG read a threat (According to Michelle Malkin):
All of the people should be executed with piano wire around their neck.
Obama secretly ends program that let pilots carry guns to protect themselves from hijackers!
After the 9/11 muslim terrorist attacks, commercial airline pilots were allowed to carry guns if they completed a federal-safety program. This was done so that they weren’t defenseless against hijackers. Now Hussein Obama has secretly ended the federal firearms program, risking public safety on airlines in the name of an anti-gun ideology. From the Washington Times:
The Obama administration this past week diverted some $2 million from the pilot training program to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections of pilots.
This looks like completely unnecessary harassment of the pilots. The 12,000 Federal Flight Deck Officers, the pilots who have been approved to carry guns, are reported to have the best behavior of any federal law enforcement agency. There are no cases where any of them has improperly brandished or used a gun. There are just a few cases where officers have improperly used their IDs.
Fewer than one percent of the officers have any administrative actions brought against them and, we are told, virtually all of those cases “are trumped up.”
Citigroup chief economist Lewis Alexander to become counselor to Treasury Secretary Geithner
From Yahoo:
WASHINGTON (AP) — Citigroup’s chief economist is being tapped for a job at the short-staffed Treasury Department, which is at the center of the Obama administration’s efforts to battle the financial crisis.
Lewis Alexander will become a counselor to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, according to a government official who spoke on condition of anonymity because a formal announcement has not been made. Alexander will work on domestic finance matters, the official said.
Alexander had worked at the Federal Reserve and also served as the Commerce Department’s chief economist in the 1990s.
Geithner so far has battled the crisis with no key deputies in place. That’s made for a rocky start for the man President Barack Obama put on the front lines of the financial crisis.
Treasury’s handling of a $700 billion financial bailout fund has drawn fierce criticism from Congress and the American public. The government has put up hundreds of billions of taxpayers’ dollars to rescue troubled financial companies, including American International Group, Bank of America and Lewis Alexander’s own Citigroup Inc.
In late February, the government said it will exchange up to $25 billion in emergency bailout money it provided Citigroup for as much as a 36 percent ownership stake in the struggling bank, a move that could put taxpayers at greater risk. The deal represented the third rescue attempt for Citigroup in the past five months. It’s contingent on private investors agreeing to a similar swap.
As a Wall Street insider from a bank that has been one of the largest recipients of government rescue funds, Alexander’s appointment could raise some eyebrows. In December 2007, he was quoted as saying that while he believed the housing market would remain weak well into 2008, it was more likely that the economy would keep growing than head into recession, adding that the housing bubble was “correcting on its own.”
Russia to hit the “Overcharge” button – Medvedev to increase the combat readiness, first of all our strategic nuclear forces.
So much for the Reset or “overcharge” button from Billary and Hussein Obama. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has said Moscow will begin a comprehensive military rearmament from 2011. Medvedev said the primary task would be to “increase the combat readiness of [Russia's] forces, first of all our strategic nuclear forces“.
