Amnesty here we come! Obama and Hispanic Dems to huddle on immigration tommorow
Hispanic Democrats will have their first meeting with Hussein Obama on tommorow morning to discuss immigration reform (aka amnesty). According to The Hill:
The meeting is the first face-to-face sit-down between Obama and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) since the president was sworn in. Some in the CHC have recently expressed frustration that Obama has not talked more about immigration in his first two months in office.
Immigration reform is front-and-center on the group’s agenda.
CHC is eager to hear the president’s ideas and proposals for tackling immigration reform, not only regarding a comprehensive reform bill that could provide a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented workers but also as it relates to rolling back Bush administration policies of raiding workplaces and detaining and deporting thousands of illegal workers.
Guess who will be “helping out” with the 2010 Census? ACORN!
The U.S. Census is supposed to be void of any politics and political influence. Doesn’t look like the 2010 Census under Hussein Obama dictatorship will keep it that way. ACORN, among a bunch of other left-wing groups will be “participating” in next year’s count, raising concerns about the politicization of the decennial survey. From Fox News:
The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now signed on as a national partner with the U.S. Census Bureau in February 2009 to assist with the recruitment of the 1.4 million temporary workers needed to go door-to-door to count every person in the United States — currently believed to be more than 306 million people.
A U.S. Census “sell sheet,” an advertisement used to recruit national partners, says partnerships with groups like ACORN “play an important role in making the 2010 Census successful,” including by “help[ing] recruit census workers.”
The bureau is currently employing help from more than 250 national partners, including TARGET and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), to assist in the hiring effort.
But ACORN’s partnership with the 2010 Census is worrisome to lawmakers who say past allegations of fraud should raise concerns about the organization
Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s Newest Spiritual Advisor Rev. Jim Wallis (basically Rev. Wright Lite)
Now that Jeremiah Wright — the America-hating, racist demagogue who served as his pastor and spiritual mentor for twenty years, and his since been thrown under the B. Hussein Obama bus, Hussein Obama has turned elsewhere for guidance in the task of carrying out his political duties while remaining true to his religious values. One of his spiritual advisors today is his friend of many years, Rev. Jim Wallis, founder of the Sojourners organization. Says Wallis, “We’ve [he and Obama] been talking faith and politics for a long time.” Who is Jim Wallis? According to Front Page Magazine:
Wallis “leans left on some issues” but overall is a “centrist, social justice” kind of guy. But a closer look at Wallis’s background reveals him to be nearly as radical, if better at disguising the fact, as Jeremiah Wright.
As a teenager in the 1960s, Wallis joined the civil rights movement and the anti-Vietnam War movement. His participation in peace protests nearly resulted in his expulsion from the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois, a Christian seminary where he was then enrolled. While at Trinity, Wallis founded an anti-capitalism magazine called the Post-American, which identified wealth redistribution and government-managed economies as the keys to achieving “social justice”—a term that, as educator/journalist Barry Loberfeld has pointed out, is essentially “code for communism.”
In 1971, the 23-year-old Wallis and his Post-American colleagues changed the name of their publication to Sojourners, and in the mid-1970s they moved their base of operation from Chicago to Washington, DC, where Wallis has served as Sojourners’ editor (and leader of the eponymous organization) ever since.
Just more proof that The Marxist Imam Obama seeks out those that are Marxist (or one of its bastard children a Socialist or a Communist**). One can’t help but wonder if he still talks to Wright his Marxist/Islamist Mentor? ?
*11* AIG Employees received bonuses of over a million dollars, some of which are no longer with the company!
Hussein Obama said he has “complete confidence” in Treasury schmuck, err Secretary Turbo Tax Timothy Geithner. Hussein Obama also mention that and any suggestion that Turbo Tax Timmy screwed up over the AIG bonuses storm is “unfair” the White House said Tuesday. In sports, usually when you get a “vote of confidence” like this, it means you are toast. In the Hussein Obama dictatorship, you can probably take it at face value. The man who cheated on his taxes, who was like AIG “too big too fail” is the laughing stock of the world. Has been one since he first appeared onto the scene after being confirmed by Congress. The so called brilliant Geithner, who worked on the bailouts for AIG, had NO IDEA about all the bonues that AIG had contractual obligions to pay out until last week! Is this the man you want in charge of “coming after you for your taxes”? One of Michelle Malkin’s readers has a suggestion:
I don’t understand why AIG doesn’t just borrow the same approach Obama took to defending the $410B pork-laden spending bill he just signed in private. Seeing as how the bonuses were earned for work done in 2008, AIG should just call the bonuses, “Last year’s business” and make all kinds of lofty promises about how now, for real, going forward, now that they’re paid, AIG is really going to clamp down on companies abusing bonuses because paying them is despicable.
Obama’s lack of leadership in a down economy has now hit crisis proportions with the AIG mess
The term crisis has been used over and over again by the Hussein Obama “team” describing the economy. From Obama himself, to his press idiot secretary Robert Gibbs, to Turbo Tax Geithner. According to Pajamas Media:
Barack Obama’s lack of leadership in a down economy has now hit crisis proportions, as his claimed inability to block millions of dollars in bonuses for executives of bailout recipient AIG has caused even his supporters to turn on him.
But while the ire of Congress and the media focus are on the $165 million that AIG paid out in bonuses to their executives, the president is hoping you won’t notice the $100 billion in taxpayer bailout dollars that AIG paid out to other banks, including $58 billion to foreign banks and $36 billion given to French and German banks alone.
The Obama administration is allowing AIG to bail out the rest of the world with your tax dollars.
So by all means, the president is happy to have you railing at “evil” but relatively small potatoes AIG executive bonuses, as it points your outrage away from his own far more costly executive abuses.
And of course, the re-distributor-in-chief hopes you won’t notice where much of the rest of the AIG bailout cash is being spent.
While $58 billion of your tax dollars — or more accurately, your children’s tax dollars — are being used to pay foreign banks, a substantial portion of that money ($43.5 billion) is being used to pay American banks, including Goldman Sachs, Merill Lynch, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wachovia, Morgan Stanley, AIG International, and JP Morgan.
The following recipients of President Obama’s trickle-down-to-my-donors bailout plan rank among his top 20 contributors to his 2008 presidential election campaign, according to Open Secrets:
Goldman Sachs: $955,473
Citigroup: $653,468
JP Morgan Chase & Co.: $646,058
Morgan Stanley: $485,823

Obama to important to show up at a top journalist society Gridiron Club event
But hey! He’s having a huge St. Patrick’s Day party at the White House later tonight, and flying out to L.A. to be on Leno tommorow! From the Times UK:
The new president became the first since Grover Cleveland in 1885 to say no in his first year to the Gridiron Club in, an exclusive gathering of editors, columnists, and TV and newspaper executives.
Mr Obama attended in 2006 as a senator and made a speech that brought the house down. Last year President Bush regaled the audience with a ham version of “The Green, Green Grass of Home”.
The White House did not give a reason for Mr Obama’s decision, but it appears that his family holds more appeal.
The event’s date is March 21, the start of the US spring break holiday, which he is due to spend with his wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha at Camp David, the presidential retreat in Maryland a mere 20 minutes away by helicopter.
The Japanese approach toward accepting responsibility for AIG? Executives should kill themselves!
Nothing against Japan or their people, but last I checked, this is still (at least somewhat) America isn’t it? Well, maybe not so much anymore as Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley suggested that AIG executives should take a Japanese approach toward accepting responsibility for the collapse of the insurance giant by resigning or killing themselves.
Can’t bash Democrats here, but WTF! Heres a quote from the MyWay article
The Republican lawmaker’s harsh comments came during an interview with Cedar Rapids, Iowa, radio station WMT on Monday. They echo remarks he has made in the past about corporate executives and public apologies, but went further in suggesting suicide.
“I suggest, you know, obviously, maybe they ought to be removed,” Grassley said. “But I would suggest the first thing that would make me feel a little bit better toward them if they’d follow the Japanese example and come before the American people and take that deep bow and say, I’m sorry, and then either do one of two things: resign or go commit suicide.
“And in the case of the Japanese, they usually commit suicide before they make any apology.”
Grassley spokesman Casey Mills said the senator isn’t calling for AIG executives to kill themselves, but said those who accept tax dollars and spend them on travel and bonuses do so irresponsibly.
“Senator Grassley has said for some time now that generally speaking, executives who make a mess of their companies should apologize, as Japanese executives do,” Mills said. “He says the Japanese might even go so far as to commit suicide but he doesn’t want U.S. executives to do that.”
The senator’s remarks added to a chorus of public outrage over the disclosure that AIG intends to pay its executives $165 million in bonuses after taking billions in federal bailout money. President Barack Obama lambasted the insurance giant for “recklessness and greed” on Monday and pledged to try to block payment of the bonuses.
Being that this did come from a braindead Republican, I’m sure the media will be all over this story.
George Stephanopoulos – more interested in McCain’s daughter spats than his AIG flipflopping
George Stephanopoulos of ABC ‘News’ conducted a Twitter interview with Senator John McCain of Arizona. The last week or so has been dominated by McCain’s “large” daugter going on a whining spree against Ann Coulter, Laura Ingrahm, etc. Its also ironic that Ms. McCain now writers for the Daily Beast (another liberal owned website), yet she claims to be a Republican like her daddy. During the twitter interview, Stephanopoulous was more concerned with McCain’s daughter’s spats than with nailing McCain on his AIG flip-flopping. Typical LMSM.
Chris Dodd – who was the largest recipient of campaign donations during the 2008 election from AIG, now trying to undo the bonus protections HE put into the simulus bill!
More irony from the crooked democrats. Chris Dodd was the largest recipient of campaign donations during the 08 election. Can you guess who was #2? None other than Barack HUSSEIN Obama! John McCain who is more of a democrat than anything came in #3, and Billiary is #4 on the list.
Senator Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) on Monday night floated the idea of taxing American International Group (AIG: 0.9199, 0.1398, 17.92%) bonus recipients so the government could recoup some or all of the $450 million the company is paying to employees in its financial products unit. Within hours, the idea spread to both houses of Congress, with lawmakers proposing an AIG bonus tax.
The move represents somewhat of an about-face for the Senator.
While the Senate was constructing the $787 billion stimulus last month, Dodd added an executive-compensation restriction to the bill. That amendment provides an “exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009” — which exempts the very AIG bonuses Dodd and others are now seeking to tax.
The amendment made it into the final version of the bill, and is law.
Separately, Sen. Dodd was AIG’s largest single recipient of campaign donations during the 2008 election cycle with $103,100, according to opensecrets.org.
Dodd’s office did not immediately return a request for comment.
One of AIG Financial Products’ largest offices is based in Connecticut.
Dodd Amendment Rules
* Crack down on bonuses, retention awards and incentive compensation: Bonuses can only be paid in the form of long-term restricted stock, equal to no greater than 1/3 of total annual compensation, and will vest only when taxpayer funds are repaid. There is an exception for contractually obligated bonuses agreed on before Feb. 11, 2009.
* For institutions that received assistance totaling less than $25 million, the bonus restriction applies to the highest compensated employee; $25 million to $250 million, applies to the top five employees; $250 million to $500 million, applies to the senior executive officers and the next top 10 employees; and more than $500 million applies to the senior executive officers and the next top 20 employees (or such higher number as the Secretary determines is in the public interest).

Defense Secretary Robert Gates gets ready for big cuts
From the Boston Globe:
Two defense officials who were not authorized to speak publicly said Gates will announce up to a half-dozen major weapons cancellations later this month. Candidates include a new Navy destroyer, the Air Force’s F-22 fighter jet, and Army ground-combat vehicles, the officials said.
The American Legion Strongly Opposed to President’s Plan to Charge Wounded Heroes for Treatment
Let me get this straight. We had no problem whatsoever scraping together $900 million to send to the terrorist group responsible for the deaths of innocent Israeli women and children, and we have no problem whatsoever committing $650 million to provide more and more coupons for digital television converter boxes, $335 million for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, $300 million for fancy electric golf carts, $400 million for research into the farce that is global warming and a whopping $8 billion on a pet project for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, but we force our finest and bravest men and women who have put everything on the line for America to eat another bullet — in order to generate $540 million?
The leader of the nation’s largest veterans organization says he is “deeply disappointed and concerned” after a meeting with Hussein Obama today in which they discussed a proposal to force private insurance companies to pay for the treatment of military veterans who have suffered service-connected disabilities and injuries. The Hussein Obama administration recently revealed a plan to require private insurance carriers to reimburse the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in such cases. From Yahoo:
“It became apparent during our discussion today that the President intends to move forward with this unreasonable plan,” said Commander David K. Rehbein of The American Legion. “He says he is looking to generate $540-million by this method, but refused to hear arguments about the moral and government-avowed obligations that would be compromised by it.”
The Commander, clearly angered as he emerged from the session said, “This reimbursement plan would be inconsistent with the mandate ‘ to care for him who shall have borne the battle’ given that the United States government sent members of the armed forces into harm’s way, and not private insurance companies. I say again that The American Legion does not and will not support any plan that seeks to bill a veteran for treatment of a service connected disability at the very agency that was created to treat the unique need of America’s veterans!”
Commander Rehbein was among a group of senior officials from veterans service organizations joining the President, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel, Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki and Steven Kosiak, the overseer of defense spending at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The group’s early afternoon conversation at The White House was precipitated by a letter of protest presented to the President earlier this month. The letter, co-signed by Commander Rehbein and the heads of ten colleague organizations, read, in part, ” There is simply no logical explanation for billing a veteran’s personal insurance for care that the VA has a responsibility to provide. While we understand the fiscal difficulties this country faces right now, placing the burden of those fiscal problems on the men and women who have already sacrificed a great deal for this country is unconscionable.”
Update 3/18/2009 – Even Obama’s Comedy Central surrogate, Jon Stewart isn’t liking this too much.
Nancy Pelosi clicks on her broomstick: Liberal newspaper bailout coming?
First step toward state run media… maybe 2nd step… From the SF Chronicle:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, worried about the fate of The Chronicle and other financially struggling newspapers, urged the Justice Department Monday to consider giving Bay Area papers more leeway to merge or consolidate business operations to stay afloat.
In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder, released by Pelosi’s office late Monday, the San Francisco Democrat asked the department to weigh the public benefit of saving The Chronicle and other papers from closure against the agency’s antitrust mission to guard against anti-competitive behavior.
“We must ensure that our policies enable our news organizations to survive and to engage in the news gathering and analysis that the American people expect,” Pelosi wrote.
A perfect example of how too much pot rots your brain: coffee brewer and crackpot Bob Alexander
Loony Toons news from the Seattle Times:
Of all the people who read Charles Manson prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi’s best-selling “The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder,” this 57-year-old Seattle coffee merchant is the only one jolted to act on it in a substantial way. The SuperBeans proprietor has become a super-activist.
With the help of a handful of volunteers and donations, Alexander has sent 2,200 copies of Bugliosi’s hardcover to prosecutors around the country.
Now he and his volunteers are following up with each one of them by phone and e-mail, as well as gathering signatures for petitions urging the prosecutors to indict the former president.
Two other things Alexander hears: that he’s courageous and principle-driven, and that he’s an obsessed crackpot.
Another big party planned at the White House – for St. Patrick’s day.
Hussein Obama and the “Sleeveless One” continue to party it up at the White House. A White House aide tells POLITICO44 that Obama (O’Bama?) will be hosting a big St. Patrick’s day bash at the White House …
… Tuesday night. On the guest list: Irish American lawmakers and other Irish Americans.
Obama cultists trying to distract from the Tea Parties
Worried that the Tea Party movement is starting to show Obama and his cultists up, they are now sending out a mass e-mail and YouTube video link urging their cultists to go out and gather pledge signatures to support the Hussein Obama’s economic plan.
Glenn Beck gets *HUGE* ratings for Friday the 13th show
Was that Glenn Beck last Friday or Bill Oreilly? With the numbers that Beck got on Friday, its hard to tell, with both having similar totals in viewship, while the other liberal networks like CNN, CNN HN and MSNBC continue to struggle for viewers.

The party of corruption and crime: Pennsylvania Democrat Vincent Fumo convicted on 137 counts
Another day, another corrupt, crooked democrat convicted. This time it is Vincent Fumo for senator from Pennsylvania today, who was convicted on all *137* counts against him. From Malkin:
Former State Sen. Vincent Fumo was convicted of all 137 counts against him today as his marathon federal corruption trial ended in a stunning victory for prosecutors.
The jury also found co-defendant Ruth Arnao guilty of all 45 counts against her.
After a 30-minute hearing this afternoon, U.S. District Judge Ronald L. Buckwalter agreed to let Fumo and Arnao remain free pending sentencing although he ordered them to post bail of $2 million and $500,000, respectively, by Wednesday.
Another poll shows Obama’s approval ratings declining: Pew
I guess the liberal excuse can now be that Pew is a ring-wing neocon poll like they said about Rasmussen. But new a second major polling firm, Pew sees an erosion of support for Barack Obama after less than two months in office. Pew Research reports that Obama’s approval ratings have dropped below 60% and his negatives have climbed significantly after his first 50 days in office. Their results parallel those from Rasmussen:
A new poll by the independent Pew Research Center for the People & the Press has found that President Barack Obama’s popular support is eroding, with his approval rating dropping below 60 percent.
“President Barack Obama’s approval rating has slipped, as a growing number of Americans see him listening more to his party’s liberals than to its moderates, and many voice opposition to some of his key economic proposals,” the Pew Center concluded.
Its new survey finds Obama’s approval rating falling to 59 percent from 64 percent in February. It also finds the ranks of Americans who disapprove of the president’s job performance rising, to 26 percent from 17 percent.
