The media can try and ignore it. The L.A. Times can ignore a 15,000 person protest in Fullerton, but The White House is starting to get worried about a populist backlash against bailout-mania. I would suggest reading this Michelle Malkin article and checking out all the links. Even some in the liberal, such as the New York Daily News is starting to wonder about Hussein.
Graciela Barrios – illegal alien about to lose her free health care. Que?
I’ll try and contain my sadness for Graciela Barrios. Poor illegal is about to lose diabetes care at a Sacramento hospital. But of course, illegals are not a drain on our economy right? Maybe Geraldo Rivera can pay for it, since he constantly whines about racism whenever an illegal alien commits a crime. From Google:
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Graciela Barrios, an undocumented immigrant with few resources, has long relied on the county health clinic for the advice, medication and tests that have kept her diabetes under control.
But next month, Barrios and thousands like her will be on their own, and many more people across the nation face the same fate.
Bowing to recession-related budget pressures, Sacramento County recently took the drastic step of cutting non-emergency health services for illegal immigrants. Contra Costa County, on the east side of San Francisco Bay, will vote on a similar measure Tuesday.
Local health systems in other states are facing similar decisions as health officials find themselves trapped between dwindling federal, state and local funding streams and the growing number of newly uninsured who need services.
“The general situation there is being faced by nearly every health department across the country, and if not right now, shortly,” said Robert M. Pestronk, executive director of the National Association of County and City Health Officials, based in Washington.
Data on the cost of health care for unauthorized immigrants is hard to come by, because community clinics and hospitals usually do not ask patients for their immigration status. But the Pew Hispanic Center estimates that about 59 percent of the 11.9 million illegal immigrants living in the United States have no health insurance, making up about 15 percent of the nation’s approximately 47 million uninsured.
As the financial crisis takes a toll on local health systems and job losses spike the number of uninsured, health providers are finding it increasingly difficult to meet the needs of the people they serve, said Pestronk.
Barney Frank the hypocrite – “These people may have a right to their bonuses, they don’t have a right to their jobs forever”
You know, i’m not a fan of Obama (as you probably can tell by reading this site), but compared to some other current politicians such as this fraud Barney Frank, (or Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, Chuck Schumer who received a bunch of money from Bernie Madoff), Dick Durbin, and of course everyone’s favorite Nancy Pelosi, Obama is a saint. Now Barney Frank the Banking Queen is whining AIG bonuses and the rewarding of incompetence. Via the New York Obama Times:
“These people may have a right to their bonuses, they don’t have a right to their jobs forever,” Mr. Frank said, charging that the bonuses amounted to rewards for incompetence. And he added: “These bonuses are going to people who screwed this up enormously.”
Now how about TERM LIMITS for INCOMPETENT politicians (such as you Bawney). And how about doing away with your yearly automatic 10% pay raises? Can anyone believe that this crook Barney Frank has been a congress”man” since 1980?
Obama gets “Choked up with Anger” over AIG $165 million bonues. I’ve been choked up with anger since he’s tried to turn us into the USSA!
I don’t know if Hussein Obama was trying to win an Oscar award today or not. We’ve seen many “worthy” performances. Paul Pierce in last year’s NBA finals with the whole wheelchair game, Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi (what me partisan?), Chris Dodd (mortgage), Charlie Rangel, etc. But today’s Obama performance was classic. Vintage democrat hypocrit. As Michelle Malkin puts it:

If 15,000 people turn out to to protest the tax-and-spend politicians in both parties in Fullerton, CA, it’s not news. for the L.A. Times. However, no problem they have no problem on the AIG protests today because of execs receiving bonuses after getting tarp money.
Demonstrators plan to rally outside the AIG building today in downtown Los Angeles to protest the giant insurer’s decision to pay $165 million in bonuses to key employees. American International Group Inc. recently received the first part of $180 billion in federal bailout funds.
“We’re going to be down there with whoever we can get,” said Ian Thompson of the Los Angeles chapter of the Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (A.N.S.W.E.R.) coalition. “We’re going to be expressing anger and outrage about the new bonuses that were announced, that will be given to the very same folks who helped cause the financial meltdown.”
The protest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. near the intersection of 8th and Figueroa streets. The group also will help lead an anti-war protest Saturday at noon to mark the sixth anniversary of the war in Iraq. A march is set to start near Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street and continue to Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.

Is it still 95% of Americans getting a tax cut? Next on the Obama tax machine – employee health benefits
I don’t do democrat math, where they claim 95% of Americans will get a tax cat. Especially when 40-50% of those in the “95%” range don’t pay any taxes anyway. Then we hear about increased taxes to those making over $250,000 (which small business and corporations will pay), and pass on to you with higher prices. Then of course theres always the cap and trade which will send everyone’s electricity bill through the roof. Is the $13 per week supposed to be a net profit over all these cost increases? Now comes word from the New York Times (cringe):
The Obama administration is signaling to Congress that the president could support taxing some employee health benefits, as several influential lawmakers and many economists favor, to help pay for overhauling the health care system.
The proposal is politically problematic for President Obama, however, since it is similar to one he denounced in the presidential campaign as “the largest middle-class tax increase in history.” Most Americans with insurance get it from their employers, and taxing workers for the benefit is opposed by union leaders and some businesses.
In television advertisements last fall, Mr. Obama criticized his Republican rival for the presidency, Senator John McCain of Arizona, for proposing to tax all employer-provided health benefits. The benefits have long been tax-free, regardless of how generous they are or how much an employee earns. The advertisements did not point out that Mr. McCain, in exchange, wanted to give all families a tax credit to subsidize the purchase of coverage.
What your tax dollars bought on Sunday – $170 Million in bonues to AIG

WASHINGTON – American International Group is giving its executives tens of millions of dollars in new bonuses even though it received a taxpayer bailout of more than $170 billion dollars.
AIG is paying out the executive bonuses to meet a Sunday deadline, but the troubled insurance giant has agreed to administration requests to restrain future payments.
The Treasury Department determined that the government did not have the legal authority to block the current payments by the company. AIG declared earlier this month that it had suffered a loss of $61.7 billion for the fourth quarter of last year, the largest corporate loss in history.
This official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue, said that Geithner had called AIG Chairman Edward Liddy on Wednesday to demand that Liddy renegotiate AIG’s current bonus structure.
Geithner termed the current bonus structure unacceptable in view of the billions of dollars of taxpayer support the company is receiving, this official said.

Well Sarah Palin didn’t request earmarks for pig odor research or salt water mice, or atv trails, but Palin did have 51 earmark requests for the FY 2008 budget, totaling $256 million; and 31 requests totaling $197 million, for the FY 2009 budget. But many other GOP Governors did too. 40% of the earmarks in the omni-porkulus budget were requested by GOP govs. Why is Sarah Palin still the liberal media’s target? The founder of a Muslim-American television station pleaded not guilty Friday to beheading his estranged wife.
Muzzammil “Mo” Hassan, 44, is charged with one count of second-degree murder for the Feb. 12 death of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan at the offices of Bridges TV in the suburb of Orchard Park.
The Pakistani-born businessman, who has been in custody since reporting his wife’s death soon after it happened, remained held without bail.
“The proof of guilt in this case is strong,” prosecutor Colleen Curtin Gable told Erie County Judge Thomas Franczyk. She cited alleged admissions, forensic evidence and “strong motive evidence.” Aasiya Hassan was stabbed multiple times and decapitated less than a week after having her husband served with divorce papers.
