It appears that a Tea Party was slated to be held at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office in San Francisco at a specific date and time, as organized by a newbie grassroot tax revolter. However, the more experienced leftist malcontents posted phony and confusing dates/times for the event. Subsequently, the Tea Party had only 20 protesters on site, instead of the anticipated 500. Needless to say, the elite San Fransisco media mocked this effort.

The members of the Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition would like to extend our support to our northern citizens, who struggle mightily against toxic combination of do-gooder-ism and political hypocrisy rampant in the Bay Area. The correct information, and the event we would LOVE to get everyone to focus on in Northern Californian IS:

    Date: Wednesday, April 15th.
Time: 11 am – when the tea is done.
Location: Meet at Civic Center Park in front of city hall. March will start at San Francisco City Hall and go to federal building where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office is located.

This tale has a couple of important points:

    1) Use caution in selecting your Tea Party location, and make sure you are joining a group that matches your sensibilities. It seems some Tea Parties may be set-up by politicians, political groups, and Third Party agitators to expand their mailing lists. Two places to start looking for organizations that are non-partisan and grassroots are at Pajamas TV and Tax Day Tea Party.

    2) It would be wonderful to really see a HUGE turnout at Madame Pelosi’s SF portal. Pelosi is one of the leading representatives whose taxing ways has brought on the Tea Party Revolt. For instance, she crammed through the Democrat-special-interest-rich Porkulus bill and threatens a second one. Her hypocrisies are legion. A significant protest at her office would send a strong message, especially given the location.

We respectfully ask all Northern Californians interest in being involved in a Tea Party to try and come to the San Francisco Tea Party on April 15th. For more details and related links, go HERE!

There is a TEA party at Salina, KS on April 15th. It’s not on the map. Information and contact person can be found at the Tax Day Tea Party website. You might look for one in your area on their list if you can’t find it here.

I have always thought that complaining is not the way to fix it. Thank heaven, someone has organized a powerful grass root response to let the politicians know that their performance is not acceptable. “WE THE PEOPLE” are responding in a way that cannot be overlooked. I thank the organizers of Tax Day Tea Parties. Our United States of America and our liberties cannot be taken away by a group of power hungry liberals.

Make time! The problem is liberals usually have the time because they are sitting around sponging while conservatives are driving the economic bus. This movement is bigger than your own personal income. Make the time to get involved and stop whining. They are counting on our just whining and going about our business.

President Bush squandered the surplus left by President Clinton by giving the richest Americans a tax cut during war time for the first time in our history and we now have the largest debt in history! When Mr. Bush took the oath of office in 200l, the nonpartisan CBO projected $5.6 trillion in federal budget surpluses through 2011. Bush left a trail of deficits and debt that has sharply constrain his successor, President Obama.

A great American, Oliver Wendell Holmes, stated. “We pay tax for a civilized society!” Those whose people immigrated to America after the founding and don’t which to pay tax should leave. They come to America and say not, “What can I do for America, but What can America do for me”? Too many immigrants think that – AMERICA – HOME OF THE BRAVE AND LAND OF THE FREE , means they don’t have to pay tax, they don’t have to serve this country in the military, they don’t have to contribute in any manner to America. The insidious ingrates who think that we came to the Colonies in the 1600s and fought, sacrificed and died for our Democracy and our Constitutional freedoms just so they could immigrate to America and enjoy the freedom for which so many brave people, including mine, sacrificed so much and not pay tax are delusional and un-American!
Those who don’t want to pay tax for civility should find another country! Bon Voyage!

NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE has stated an alternative. How do we fund Iraq? How do we fund the postal service, etc, etc, etc,? Also, if it is the earmarks that bother you, please remember that the majority party gets 60% and the minority 40% – during Republican Congresses as well.

If you don’t want bailouts, etc. What is your alternative? I would recommend firing any CEO whose business required a bailout. This is only a start, however please remember that merely arguing against something without an alternative is untenable and without possibility of improvement. This whole tea party business seems very amateurish and unimportant. If there were distinct alternatives – now you are talking.

Hey, I’ve got a great idea, but I think you’re all too chicken to do it. Since Obama’s tax hikes would only bring us to 1993 tax levels, and is less than half of what top taxpayers paid during the Eisenhower years, I say that you opt out — don’t pay ANY taxes, but then you can’t get ANY government services, like public schooling or libraries or anything! THEN you’ll see that taxes make sense — unless you’re wealthy or can afford to supply all these services yourself — so opt out! Does anyone have the guts to do this, or propose it? Maybe we could ask Ron Paul…
