Another Obama Gaffe (Michelle this time) – no touching the Queen of England!

mich2-3.jpgYou know, I’ll admin I didn’t know the so called “protocol”, but you would think the President of the United States and the ‘First Lady’ would at least know such things, or at the very least be briefed about such things. The rules are set in stone, agree with them or not, that you simply can NOT touch the Queen of England. This Times story (surprisingly) has the story and details, which also mentions that that in 2000 John Howard, then Prime Minister of Australia, got plenty of criticism for apparently putting his arm around the Queen to direct her through a crowd.

Has anybody even noticed how MO gossled for attention at every pic. op. It is so ungraceful and uncivilized. Let me stand right here. I used to think Laura Bush was a too laid back. But now I see her instinctiveness in knowing how to let the President shine, where to stand, move gracefully and be unintrusive. Not MO, she curries to be the center of attention and moves into the limelight. The most awkward moment came when she positioned her herself between the Queen and King and literally dissed the King who politely stood aside for her. He must think that she is very rude. Very unclassy. Mrs. O’s social secretary gets an “F” for not schooling her in the arts of being a First Lady. Comparing her to Jackie O, how inconceivable, scacreligious!
