The Tea Party smears begin

There are already rumors that Acorn is due to “crash” some April 15th tea parties. Today on Fox News, blimby Bob Beckel this morning derided tax revolters in Montana, quipping that “It was a good thing it wasn’t a vodka party, because I guarantee you they all had guns.” Of course for those you who don’t know who Beckel is, he was Beckel was the campaign manager for landslide of Walter Mondale’s 1984 presidential campaign.

Update: 4/13/2009 – Liberal crybaby Geraldo Rivera bashed the Tea Party movement because he’s “never seen any people of color”

Tea Parties a sham and a fraud?

Be wary of the liberal dirtbags planning to “Crash” the tea parties tommorow. Michelle Malkin already has a list of some libtards announcements, such as Daily Kos and Code Pink (you know, the ones who protested against the spending last week?).

    Isn’t it amazing how liberals can deride and denigrate an event that aims to duplicate the roots of our freedom. And, perhaps that says it all. Freedom is a threat to socialists and statists.

    I don’t what rock that FNC found Beckel under nor why they use him as contributor. I can’t find any references about any successes he has orchestrated for liberal candidates. Who is this guy!!

    I only have to say that if Acorn, or whoever is behind the sabotage of the Tea Parties, must certainly feel threatened by our message! If they were confident in what they were doing, the parties would not phase them!

    The libs must be worried that these tea parties might gain some traction, which is why MSNBC and Air America have been in full attack mode to discredit them for a couple of days now.

    Since after the 2004 election, they have been very effective in netralizing Republican advantages by portraying them as radical. Starting with the attaking the Evangelical movement.

    There are many dis-honor awards to be given for the Democrat propaganda sold as news yesterday, but among the most egregious was this story from NBC News on-line’s Washington section [h/t Drudge]. This piece by Jim Iovino is so humiliatingly slanted, I almost fell out of my seat from the tilt.

    1 Million Tea Bags, But No Place to Dump
    Permits end dumping before it starts

    WASHINGTON — It was a great idea, really. Take a million tea bags and dump them in Lafayette Park to protest government spending. Hip, hip, hoo-ray!

    A tea party at Lafayette Park can’t include the dumping of 1 million tea bags.

    But a funny thing happened en route to a visually pleasing Tax Day protest. The National Park Service said the tea party protesters didn’t have the proper permit to dump their bags.

    So instead of a raucous visual demonstration, all that was left were images of the tea party packing up their boxes of tea on a cold, soggy day in D.C.

    Doh!

    “We have a million tea bags here, and we don’t have a place to put them because it’s not on our permit,” said Rebecca Wales, lead organizer of D.C. Tea Party.

    Fight the power, folks, but next time check your permits before acquiring 1 million tea bags.

    A local think tank, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, said it would allow the dumping of the tea bags in its 12th floor conference room instead. Not quite the same impact, though.

    What else could go wrong? Another protest that was planned for the Treasury Department was also scrapped due to permit issues.

    Doh!

    This was the journalistic equivalent of a smug partisan standing across the street with his thumbs in his ears, his remaining fingers wiggling in the ear, singing, “Nya nya nya nya nya!”

    The video of the D.C. protest the NBC News provides on this page was a You Tube clip filmed by someone named “DoctorCongressmanRP” —clearly an amateur videographer and not on on-staff professional news videographer.

    The video, snidely titled “Scenes From The Most Important Protest In Political History” contained elements that made me wonder whether this is in fact the actual D.C. rally.

    For one thing, the rally I attended was in a small rural town in Western NJ. There were hundreds people more than here, despite the drizzly rain. Ours was well-organized, lively, and intelligent. These D.C. protesters look like bumbling fools who are walking around like small children at the mall who can’t find their mommies.

    What also made me very curious were the statements and chants in this video clip, including:

    [Unintelligible] “community organizers!” [unintelligible] (0:15)
    “We could read Saul Alinsky too!” (0:20)
    “Feed the rich! Feed the rich!” (0:29)
    “Lower the minimum wage! Lower the minimum wage! (0:35)
    One spectator is filmed saying to another, “This is a very small protest, isn’t it?” (1:08)
    “Tax work, not wealth! Tax work, not wealth!” (1:10)

    Folks, I can guaratee that none of these inane comments was made at the rally I attended. Not even close. I might go as far as to say that whatever video this was, it was not a bona fide Tea Party.

    What kind of slanted garbage is NBC News trying to sell us?

    Let’s also make no mistake about the main lesson learned yesterday: The Obama administration and Democrat Party as a whole could not have done a better job than the mainstream media at the coordinated, incessant, and widespread dismissal, derision, and demonization of yesterday’s Tea Parties. Because for each one of them the primary goal was not to report the news; it was to perpetuate and legitimize the Left’s response to the Tea Party. And that’s a huge problem for our country.

    If any one of these journalists were a doctor, they’d be sued for malpractice. The nation is hemorrhaging, and every one of these MSM members are the incompetent surgeons at the journalistic operating table. And if CNN, MSNBC, or the three network stations were hospitals, they’d be closed down immediately for their complicity in killing a once-great nation.

    How about the hundreds of thousands of people who simply sent a teabag to the White House and their representatives in Congress? I participated in the protest by sending my tea bags by US mail.

    I am not opposed to the government spending money and I am not opposed to taxes. I AM opposed to the government spending our money so UNWISELY, to bail out people and businesses that made poor decisions. THAT is NOT the government’s job! Undoubtedly it will cost us with higher taxes or rampant inflation (which devalues our hard-earned assets).

    And remember those IRAs and 401ks that the government told us to use for retirement savings, deferring taxes on contributions and income? Guess what? Those assets are a sitting duck to pay off the government’s debts! A shoebox in your backyard would have more value in it.

    I attended a tea party in Harrisburg PA, I am a veteran (not a potential terrorist) who thinks we common folk in fly over American have been to quiet and polite for too long. I am not astro-turf, I am not a racist, in fact I am glad that a black man has been elected to the most powerful man in the world, I just wish it were a conservative person instead of a socialist. I am glad that barrier has been broken because Obama can show other black Americans that they can also succeed if they try. I find it also ironic that the supposed party of gay people would use some obscure gay term “Tea Baggers” what ever that is as an insult directed towards we who dare to disagree with the Messiah again I don’t dislike gays I just don’t believe they deserve special rights because what they do in private. I also believe that failure should not be rewarded. If companies fail they should go away not be propped up by government. Sell off their assets and move on. We live in a free world that allows us to pursue happiness not guarantee it.
