According to Politico:

Actor Kal Penn has been a devoted public servant for the Dem party since Obama’s run for office.

He campaigned, on a bus, for a few days on the road. He also was a Dem Convention floor volunteer which isn’t the best gig in the whole wide world. And now, he has quit Fox’s “House” to go work in the White House.  As “the associate director in the White House office of public liaison.”
