Obama’s illusion of hope for credit card victims

Dick Morris’s most recent column discusses why Obama’s recently signed Credit Card Form act is nothing but a fraud. Dick Morris writes this in his blog:

The widely heralded credit card reform legislation making its way through Congress is a sellout to the credit card companies. Obama has proposed and Congress has passed a series of minor reforms that deal with the fringes of the problem – late billings, retroactive interest rate hikes, misapplication of payments and such – but fail to reform the most basic offense of the companies: their usury.

What Was With That Plane? Another Air Obama flyover scares people

This one wasn’t quite as bad as the New York photop with Air Force one, but scared some people in Memphis, TN. Another low flying plane from team Obama, and his DHS. This one was a “test” of  anti-missile defenses on commercial jets. Again, there was no annoucement anywhere in Memphis this would happen, so it was a complete surprise to the citizens. There weren’t anybody running out of building screaming like in New York at least this time, but one would think that after the NY Photop fiasco, this administration would wise up and have the smarts to tell the people to be prepared for something like this? Maybe i’m asking to much.

Obama snubs kids Whitehouse visit for the Pittsburgh Steelers

Poor kids. On a field trip to the White House to meet the TOTUS, and their bus gets stuck in traffic. Arriving about an hour or so late at the White House, Obama decides that his licking up the Pittsburgh Steelers was far more important, then some wide eyed kids wanting to see the Whitehouse and the President in it. May the kids were “right wing extremists”.

U.S. debt rating about to be lowered from ‘AAA’

Isn’t learning on the job like Obama is doing great? I guess countries like China are going to continue lining up to buy this country’s debt created by Obama and the democratic congress despite this latest possibilty? More from Bloomberg:

The dollar extended declines today after Treasuries and American stocks slumped on concern the U.S. government’s debt rating may at some point be lowered. Bill Gross, the co-chief investment officer of Pacific Investment Management Co., said the U.S. “eventually” will lose its AAA grade.

Bring on ObamaCARE and Crap and Trade!

Hey muslims! You better not use Facebook, Friendster and other social networking!

Did you use the use of social networking sites for muslims is evil? Unless of course its used for foster Islamic teaching. At least that is what Indonesian Islamic clerics warned Muslims on Friday. The warning to muslims was  not to use popular Internet networking sites like Facebook for flirting or gossiping.

“We forbid the use of Facebook, Friendster and other social networking sites unless they are being used to foster Islamic teaching,” a spokesman for the clerics, Abdul Muid Shohib, said.

No bailout for California – at least not yet

On its way to Bankruptcy come July, Obama Administration officials say the state can do more to solve the budget crisis on its own, they don’t have the authority to help — and if they did, it would set a dangerous precedent. I’m all for that! Let the state go BK, and let all these entitlement programs like welfare for illegals die. But irony yet again from the Obama administration. it would set a dangerous precedent

You mean like the bank bailouts? You mean like the insurance company bailouts? You mean like NATIONALIZING the auto industry?

Maybe Arnold Shriver needs to “pump up” Obama a little more.

Botox Nancy Pelosi – sticking by her claims about the CIA

Looks like the change has happened. First Pelosi would blame the CIA. Then Pelosi kind of retracted her claims against the CIA and blamed Bush, and now she’s back on the attack against the CIA.

Jihadi scum within the US jails

Michelle Malkin’s syndicated column today discusses jihadist recruitments taking place right here on American soil, within the confines of our jails. While Obama is more concerned with aplogizing for America to just about everyone, to closing Gitmo with no exit strategy, and decrying how waterboarding is torture (despite the fact it stopped a major terrorist attack in L.A., and saved countless amounts of lives), what has he done regarding the serious problems facing America inside the cells of their own jails themselves?

Hey San Diego Union Tribune editorial board, change your stance on big labor now!

The LAPD officers union is now  pressuring the owner of San Diego Union-Tribune to change the paper’s editorial stance on labor issues or to fire its editorial writers. For what reason might you ask? The San Diego Union Tribute is one of the few none-left biased papers in the country, so a union can’t deal with the fact that the paper reports on the truth. Read more at this LA Times article.

Gov. Sarah Palin Vetoes $28M in Federal Stimulus Money

Gov. Sarah Palin on Thursday became the only governor to turn down federal stimulus money for energy efficiency, a move that legislators called “disappointing” for a state with some of the country’s highest energy costs, according to NewsMax. In announcing the veto of $28.6 million in funds, Palin said she wouldn’t accept money tied to adoption of building codes by local governments.

“Alaskans and our communities have a long history of independence and opposing many mandates from Washington, D.C.,” Palin said in a statement announcing the veto.

Palin had earlier accepted about $900 million in other federal stimulus funds.

State budget director Karen Rehfeld said the Republican governor was concerned that in accepting the money, she would be required to promote the adoption of local building codes. To qualify for the federal money, 90 percent of new and renovated structures in the state would have to be constructed under energy efficiency standards between 2009 and 2017.

David Alexrod on Katie Couric interview with Sarah Palin: a public colonoscopie | Old Witch Helen Thomas: She saved the country

hthomas.jpgYou know for someone who’s 15 minutes of fame were supposed to be up back on November 4th, and the claims that democrats aren’t afraid of Sarah Palin sure have a funny way of showing it. Between the continued slams against Palin, the going after Palin’s daughter Bristol, and 75 year old washed up Larry King interviewing Levi Johnston, etc one has to wonder, are the democrats really afraid of Sarah Palin? The latest series of gems comes from American News Women’s Club 15th gala and Helen Thomas Award (geeesh, they have an award named after Aunt Bethany now too?):

“People were surprised by the intensity of that interview with Sarah Palin, but I wasn’t. To me, it made perfect sense. After all, Katie has made it her civic responsibility to conduct public colonoscopies. But I’m sure that will be the butt of a lot of jokes tonight.” -Axelrod

“She saved the country.” -Thomas on Couric’s Palin interviews

Clueless idiot Henry Waxman on Cap and Trade – “I don’t know the details. I rely on the scientists.”

“I don’t know the details. I rely on the scientists.”  was Henry Waxman’s reply when questioned about details about his Cap and Trade bill. I’m sure the “scientists” he relies are  the ones with government grants dangled in front of their faces.

Anti-American History Channel Ads – what will liberals think of next?

Redstate.com has a very disturbing discovery regarding the History Channel. Earlier in the week, Redstate.com discovered an article entitled “Anti-American History Channel Ads You Won’t See In The US Or Online” at the Business Insider website. There were three images included which are, to say the least, inflammatory. You can click on the link provided to Redstate to see these Anti American History Channel ad pictures yourself.

Who the F**K does Obama think he is? Obama To Apologize AGAIN – This time for “American” War Crimes at D-Day Events

I could tolerate the teleprompter gaffes, the stuttering, the uh, umms, uh, and the worst press secretary of all time with this adminstration. I can not tolerate the BS of Obama continually apologizing for the “evil America”, like he has done so many times in just his first 4 months in office. Well, looks like its time to apologize again! According to Gateway Pundit, Obama is going to apologize for “American war crimes” during D-Day events this year.  For Germans, Dresden is the symbol bar none of German suffering at the hands of the Allies. It was already reported that Obama would recognize German suffering during the anniversary ceremonies. Obama will likely apologize for “American war crimes” during his Dresden stop.

Big day for the democratic congress – Pelosi probe blocked AND they vote down a motion to ban funding for John Murtha airport!

Michelle Malkin has the gory details for the day in congress.

1) Republicans again ripped into Speaker Nancy Pelosi for accusing the CIA of misleading Congress — and her fellow Democrats quickly blocked their bid for a bipartisan probe into her truthfulness. The vote was 252-172. (Reuters)

2) The House voted down a motion by GOP Rep. John Campbell that would have banned any additional funding for the Murtha Airport to No One

Its moral imperative to pass card check, so sayeth the SEIU

Yesterday, over 50 religious leaders from a diverse range of faiths and denominations came to Washington, DC to lobby members of Congress on support of the Employee Free Choice Act aka card check. This  newly-formed coalition of religious leaders and people of faith called the “Faith Leaders for Workplace Fairness” announced their support for the card check  bill on a conference call with press last week, calling the legislation a “moral imperative” and a civil and human right. Afterwards, Tom Harkin of Iowa held a press conference calling the Employee Free Choice Act aka card check:

“one of the real social justice issues of our time,”

Obama: Bush was wrong in seeking to prevent terrorist attacks – One of 28 “BLAME BUSH” remarks

During the dueling speeches today with Obama making excuses for closing Gitmo, and Cheney saying how less safe the country is today, one of the more interesting lines (or scary) to come from Obama’s mouth was basically: Bush was wrong in seeking to prevent terrorist attacks instead of prosecuting those who carry them out. Am I to assume now that Obama is no interested in trying to prevent a terrorist attack? Other profound statements from Obama included:  OPENING Gitmo caused all the terrorist problems. I’m sorry Mr. Obama, but was Gitmo open during 9/11? WTC 1 in 1993? The USS Cole bombing in 2000? I seem to have forgotten about that. Have we actually had a terrorist attack on American soil since Gitmo opened?  And now Obama wants to put the Gitmo detainees in a “Supermax” prison. Apprenetly, Obama doesn’t  understand the difference between Supermax prisoners that are citizens, terrorists caught on American soil and those captured on the battlefield. Of course Blame Bush was the theme for the day in Obama’s speech. You could count at least 28 references to blaming Bush.

Joe Biden’s friend – Arlen Specter

Michelle Malkin posts a DNC solicitation sent out this morning in idiot Joe Biden’s name. BTW, did you know Joe Biden’s plane was once fired on by Bosnian snipers? Say it aint so Joe!

Just say no to Koh

Oppose the transnationalist Harold Koh nomination. Harold Koh is Obama’s appointee to be the legal adviser at the State Department. Today, some of the best conservative legal and national security thinkers/doers will discuss the battle over the transnationalist Harold Koh nomination. Bloggers can join in as well. Michelle Malkin has posted her input. Check out and bookmark the website of the Coalition to Preserve American Sovereignty.
