Espada, D-Bronx, failed to file timely campaign finance reports with the Board of Elections and failed to pay more than $60,000 in fines. Then Senate Majority Leader Malcolm Smith threatened to take "immediate action" if the situation was not resolved. With sleazy behavior like this, seems like they were already Republicans. You can have 'em! They represent heavily minority districts here in NY so they won't get re-elected. Here are the 2 Democrats that switched:
