RIP Neda Agha Soltan – Shot dead by basij in the streets of Iran

neda-soltanNeda Agha Soltan, or just simply Neda as many people world wide know her by now (which translates to VOICE in farsi ironicaly).

Neda is the young woman in the now viral video on youtube and other video sites that showed her lying in the street with blood spurting from her chest, with a man leaning over, trying to stop the bleeding with his hands. Neda, along with her father, were participating in a protest march on Karegar Avenue in the city of Tehran when she is said to have been shot by members of the Iranian Basij volunteer militia.
