Mark Sanford cheats on his wife! Republicans continue to emulate democrats!

Yet another Republican idiot shoots himself in the foot. The whole “disapearance” of Mark Sanford has finally been explained, and he cheated on his wife. No matter how badly Obama’s number continue to tank, no matter how far left he continues to move this country, I really wonder if the republicans can find ANYONE to run against him with any credibility in 2012. At this rate, Obama could run un-opposed.

And as long as Republicans continue to care, the Democrats will win.

Their mantra, that having standards means you’re a hypocrite, has really taken hold in the conservative consciousness, hasn’t it?

I think Sarah Palin could, but unfortunately she has been so crucified by the media that I don’t think she’d have a chance. And I honestly think that any Republican who dares to go up against the “king”/”messiah” will be destroyed like Sarah Palin. I think Republicans have a problem with leadership but I also think they have a problem in that the media is solidly LIBERAL, and they are cruel and will stop at nothing in order to destroy Republicans. So… it’s really depressing.

I even feel bad for Sanford. I don’t condone what he did by any means, and I really feel awful for his wife and children, but I also think he is ashamed and regretful at this point. But I just can’t believe we live in a day and age where his private emails are published all over the web for everyone to read. It’s just like we have no shame. The things that were once private are now exploited.

It’s like Jon and Kate’s divorce. Not that it’s the same, but it’s disgusting the way the media is obsessed with their failed marriage, and just talks and talks and talks about it.

We live in a day and age where people seriously revel and take delight in other people’s downfalls. Look at Sarah Palin, Carrie Prejean, Jon and Kate, Mark Sanford. Why can’t they just publish the story and leave it a that? No… now there will be days and weeks of commentary… blogs, liberals mocking him and sneering, publishing his private emails, etc.

Meanwhile, his four young sons… well, I just pray they are shielded from the shaming that will be done to their father. Sure, maybe he deserves it for what he did, but I still think we are obsessed with other people’s lives, esp. their failures (esp. when they are Republicans, conservatives, and/or Chrsitians). And seriously, would any of us want all our sins and failures fully exposed in the press for all the world to blog about and comment and cruify us for?

You know full well that alot of people who will be throwing the biggest stones will have they, themselves, done the very same thing (adultery) and/or worse.
