Even the Chinese laugh at tax cheat Geithner
Tax cheat Tim Geithner, or as i like to call him “Squeak” Scolari is quite the laughing stock here in the US. It seems the Chinese have found ole tax cheat Geithner to be quite the joke too, as per this reuters article:
China is the biggest foreign owner of U.S. Treasury bonds. U.S. data shows that it held $768 billion in Treasuries as of March, but some analysts believe China’s total U.S. dollar-denominated investments could be twice as high.
“Chinese assets are very safe,” Geithner said in response to a question after a speech at Peking University, where he studied Chinese as a student in the 1980s.
His answer drew loud laughter from his student audience, reflecting scepticism in China about the wisdom of a developing country accumulating a vast stockpile of foreign reserves instead of spending the money to raise living standards at home.

It provides a long-term solution for troubled thrift institutions. … All in all, I think we hit the jackpot.” So declared Ronald Reagan in 1982, as he signed the Garn-St. Germain Depository Institutions Act.
He was, as it happened, wrong about solving the problems of the thrifts. On the contrary, the bill turned the modest-sized troubles of savings-and-loan institutions into an utter catastrophe. But he was right about the legislation’s significance. And as for that jackpot — well, it finally came more than 25 years later, in the form of the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.
Attacks on Reaganomics usually focus on rising inequality and fiscal irresponsibility. Indeed, Reagan ushered in an era in which a small minority grew vastly rich, while working families saw only meager gains. He also broke with longstanding rules of fiscal prudence.

I’ve always called ACORN a criminal enterprise but what do I know, im just a “right wing extremist” blogger. Glenn Beck has been investigating Acorn and been the fodder of the left wing loons in the media. BIll O”reilly suddenly latched on to the whole “ACORN investigation” story once it got popular with the Glenn Beck show, then O’Reilly decided to latch on to the investigation with his softball interview with ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis. Now, Kris Kobach’s running for Kansas Secretary of State has one reason that motivates him to run for the postition: ACORN.
Kobach describes it differently.
“ACORN is a criminal enterprise,” he said Thursday.
He said 12 ACORN workers in Missouri were convicted of violating voter laws in connection with 2006 elections.

According to Michelle Malkin: Colorado Restaurant Association Big Cheese Pete Meersman is afraid the city of Denver’s Department of Revenue is jumping out of the frying pan and into the fryer. During some recent restaurant-industry audits, the city has claimed separate sales tax on frying oil, claiming that the oil is a separate product because it is not absorbed into the product.

This morning on Fox News a spokesman from the Heritage Foundation addressed the Black Panther thugs whose case on voter intimidation by thrown out by Eric Holder. He also mentioned another case in which a woman state official failed to clean up voter rolls for the election–remember the problems with Acorn and the Democratic operatives who enabled them? So this Democratic operative also had her case thrown out by Holder after she announced that she would run for the Senate. Hmmm. Tax cheats. Voter fraud. It looks like under Obama you can get away with most things as long as you support the “right” people–meaning the Democrats and Obama himself. When will people wake up to what is happening to our country? Justice used to be blind. That was one of the basic tenets of the American way. No more. Now blatent, in-your-face stealing of elections and bestowing political favors for support is quickly becoming the way The One does business. Sounds more like the Mafia than the American way.
