Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) leaders are using the threat of a law suit to silence and intimidate critics, according to current and former members of the liberal activist group, according to the Washington Examiner:
Mark Sanford missing since Thursday – located Monday
Mark Sanford, governor of South Carolina has not been seen or heard from since Thursday, June 18th. The governor’s office issued a statement Monday afternoon. According to The State:
“Gov. Sanford is taking some time away from the office this week to recharge after the stimulus battle and the legislative session, and to work on a couple of projects that have fallen by the wayside. We are not going to discuss the specifics of his travel arrangements or his security arrangements.”

Project Vote has files a federal lawsuit against Anita MonCrief
Chicago style politics at its best (or worst) again, as Anita Moncrief, who exposed ACORN and tax payer subsidezed Project Vote by posting documents that reveal the money-shuffling racket is suing Anita Moncrief. According Michelle Malkin, Project Vote has filed a federal lawsuit against MonCrief for blogging about her experience and knowledge of the non-profit 501(c)(3) organization’s partisan and political activities, including coordination with the Obama campaign. According toe Malkin (already linked above), Project Vote seeks compensatory damages and exemplary damages “of at least $5 million” and all costs and attorney’s fees on trumped-up charges of “trademark infringement” and publication of “trade secrets.”
Congress can learn a little something from those who have 5 day work weeks
When after the Democrats won control of congress in 2006 and appointed House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced that House members would be subjected to working “harder” and working that rigorous 5 day work week (from the previous 2 or 3 days per week)? According to Hoyer, the House would begin its session each week by 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and finish business by about 2 p.m. on Friday. Well, since the start of 2009, according to Eileen McGann, so far this year the House has only been in session for 45 days – slightly more than three days a week. That’s better than the Senate’s record – it was only in session for 36 days, an average of less than three days a week. So much for those democrat promises.

About 72% of those polled are, a government-run insurance plan to compete with private insurers. Ok fine, 72% of the people want ObamaCARE, so what? Well, of the 73% of respondents who said they voted in 2008 only 34% voted for McCain and 66% for Obama. The McCain got 48% of the total vote. Oh BTW if ObamaCARE is so great, why has the democrat controlled congress written a clause in the bill that says Congress is exempted from the plan? Iranian police beat protesters and fired tear gas on Saturday – Woman murdered in cold blood by Basij
First the AP news so far for the day of June 20th, 2009:
Witnesses said police beat protesters and fired tear gas and water cannons at thousands who rallied in Tehran Saturday in open defiance of Iran’s clerical government, sharply escalating the most serious internal conflict since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
The eyewitnesses described fierce clashes near Revolution Square in central Tehran after some 3,000 protesters chanted “Death to the dictator!” and “Death to dictatorship!” Police responded with tear gas and water cannons.
The witnesses told The Associated Press that between 50 and 60 protesters were seriously beaten by police and pro-government militia and taken to Imam Khomeini hospital in central Tehran. People could be seen dragging away comrades bloodied by baton strikes.

Update: This is an extremely graphic/disturbing video (viewer warning, I will not embed it here), of the murder of the young Iranian woman. Hotair’s translated the. NIAC Facebook pages that describes this disturbing video follows: “A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victim’s chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes.”
With Iran in chaos, and people twittering from Iran about the brutalality going on with the Basij, you would think this would be newsworthy in the US? Instead, CBS Obama slurper Mark Knoller found twittering about Obama taking his daughters for Ice Cream for more important of a story to twitter about. Oh, Knoller also let us know via twitter that the Obamas bought some puppy treats for Bo.
6/21/09 – This still hasn’t been verified yet, but according to Pajamas Media, the Office of Mr. Mir Hossein Mousavi has sent Obama a letter. The letter basically states how offended Mousavi is at the outrageous comparsion that Obama made, claiming that Mousavi and Ahmadinejad where basically the same. If you guessed the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). then you’d be right. The same CNCS that is the parent organization of AmeriCorps. This is also the same CNCS that last year Sacramento mayor/Dirty NBA player/Obama slurper Kevin Johnson was suspended from receiving federal funds after then-inspector general Gerald Walpin blew the whistle on massive fraud and abuse of AmeriCorps dollars for personal and political gain. Of course now, Walpin was mysterious fired for being “disoriented”.

Charles Sennott of international news site GlobalPost.com reports on how moderate Taliban leaders are engaged in shuttle negotiations, and have been in contact with Mullah Mohammad Omar, the spiritual leader of the Taliban.

The ABC – All Barack Channel health care infomercial is starting to make a lot more sense. According to the Washington Times:
ABC employees gave 80 times as much money to Mr. Obama’s 2008 campaign for president than to his rival’s.
According to an analysis of campaign donations by the Center for Responsive Politics, conducted at The Times’ request, ABC employees in several divisions donated $124,421 to the Obama campaign, compared with $1,550 to the presidential campaign of Sen. John McCain.

There may be some REAL fireworks for Hawaii come July 4th as NKorea threatens missile launch
Kim Jong-Il is now threatening to shoot a long-range ballistic missile at Hawaii, our 50th state and Obama (alleged) home state. Heres the info from Hotair:
North Korea may fire a long-range ballistic missile toward Hawaii in early July, a Japanese news report said Thursday, as Russia and China urged the regime to return to international disarmament talks on its rogue nuclear program.
The missile, believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles (6,500 kilometers), would be launched from North Korea’s Dongchang-ni site on the northwestern coast, said the Yomiuri daily, Japan’s top-selling newspaper. It cited an analysis by the Japanese Defense Ministry and intelligence gathered by U.S. reconnaissance satellites.
The missile launch could come between July 4 and 8, the paper said.
While the newspaper speculated the Taepodong-2 could fly over Japan and toward Hawaii, it said the missile would not be able to hit Hawaii’s main islands, which are about 4,500 miles (7,200 kilometers) from the Korean peninsula.
