McCain is up for reelection in 2010 and is being challenged in the state primary. I highly doubt Senator McCain would support the Cap and Trade bill that passed the house. As for Collins and Snowe, they are indeed RINOS and can't be trusted with anything.

I agree though that anyone who takes Senator Inhofe at his word that this bill is dead in the Senate is naive.

I suspect what will happen is the house bill will die in the Senate, HOWEVER the Senate will introduce it's own Cap and Trade bill. I read a headline today where SENATOR Boxer is working on one now.

The house bill is so draconian with certain provisions I doubt it could pass the Senate. Not many of them would risk a 6 year term on that bill. Have you seen what's in it? When millions of Americans find out they can't sell their house without spending thousands to upgrade it, you better believe a bunch of congressmen would loose their jobs.

My guess is the Senate puts together a watered down version of the bill. If they can't get it done this year it won't see the light of day until 2011 at the earliest. None of them will want to touch this in 2010, an election year. It's probably why Obama is pushing so hard on everything right now. Get it done, quick, quick, quick, now, now, now..........Just vote, we will write the bill later!!!

If we the people don't start throwing these people out (on both sides) it will be the end of the prosperity and standard of living we have taken for granted since birth.
