Bill O’Reilly – a trending topic on Twitter for “Anti-Michael Jackson Memorial Coverage” aka “racist” rants

The video:

Now, someone tell me, what exactly O’Reilly said wrong here? And also what exactly did he say that was “racist” as now the left wing loons, and rabid fans of Jacko are now clamining?

These idiots who want to make Jacko a black icon need to understand one thing: He was WHITE!!! He wanted to be WHITE!!!

Bill O’Reilly IS a bigot….who hides behind the guise of a political analyst to spew his hateful speech. He was completely disespectful. If that weren’t enough, he used unsubstantiated claims and innuendo to support his belief that Michael Jackson wanted to be “white”. The man had a skin disorder called Vitiligo. I suggest anyone who wants to know about the disease to look it up. Didn’t anyone see his dermatologist on Larry King? Who, I might add, is a REAL journalist. His dermatologist stated that not only was MJ a PROUD black man, but he did have Vitiligo AND Lupus. And he’d been treating him because of it for years! And since when did having “white” children make you any less Black? I guess Heidi Klum wants to be Black since she has 3 Black children with a Black man. He’s even raising her white daughter as his own, so I guess that means he wants to be white, huh? Madonna, Angelina, and Brad have Black children. Are they any less white because of it? I guess we need to revoke their country club memberships and give them a ghetto pass now, huh? Michael would have loved his children if they were green. It didn’t matter to him. So why the should it matter to this guy? Oh, I know. He’s got a platform, that’s why. NONE of us know whether those kids are biologically his. But I’ll say this: LOOKS CAN BE DECIEVING. So don’t believe everything you see. O’Reilly doesn’t get to decide who an icon is….let alone a Black Icon for that matter. Jackson made it possible for black artists to get air time on MTV during a time when NO musician of color’s music was played on that channel. It was Jackson who sold out numerous stadiums all over the world. And set record while doing it. It was Jackson who revolutionized the art if the music video. It was Jackson whose ONE album sold more than any other artist in the history of music. This is something that will NEVER happen again. (This album, I might add, is in the Guiness Book of World Records as the BIGGEST SELLING ALBUM OF ALL TIME). The man has a U.S. patent for a shoe that he invented that defies gravity! His music bought races of people together and for him to downplay that his completely asinine. This same man, and I use that term loosely, attacked a man HOURS after his memorial service but then asked a contributor on his show NOT to attack Jerry Falwell, a complete bigot, after his death! The hypocrisy! I believe his words were “give the family three days to mourn”. Did he give the Jackson family the same kind of consideration? HELL NO! I know why. And so does everyone else, even if the webmaster of this site won’t admit it. If that weren’t enough, he even called MJ “selfish” with his lavish spending. Umm…excuse me? But MJ did EARN his money to spend it anyway he pleased, right? If O’Reilly had done his research BEFORE his hateful spew he would’ve known that Jackson is in the Guiness Book of World Records as the MOST CHARITABLE ARTIST OF ALL TIME. Well, damn! You can’t get anymore selfish than that!

He criticized the media for their coverage of MJ’s memorial and tried to downplay the amount of people that showed up. Had he been listening, he would’ve known that people were told NOT to show up, to stay home and watch on their televisions. But in all seriousness, O’Reilly wouldn’t have known all these things had he NOT been one of the ONE BILLION people who watched this man, this icon, be memorialized. He watched. He knew. But true to his right-wing nuttiness, he just had to intrude himself on a families grief not hours after their father, son, brother, and uncle was memorialized. He was wrong. And he should’ve been ashamed of himself. He’s probably not. And that’s the problem. But you know what? He’ll answer for it soon enough.
