Fake Pro-Life Abortion Bill Expected in Congress, Ups Planned Parenthood Funds
A former leader for one of the nation’s largest pro-abortion groups and a congressman who abandoned his pro-life views to such a large extent that a pro-life group kicked him off its advisory board are introducing a new bill that will be touted as pro-life legislation, according to Life News:
However, the Reducing the Need for Abortions Initiative, expected to be introduced in the House of Representatives this week, is a bailout for the abortion industry.
Rep. Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat who is a former NARAL staffer, and Rep. Tim Ryan, an Ohio Democrat whom Democrats for Life of America recently kicked off its board, are behind the bill.
The legislation is nothing new as Ryan and DeLauro took a Democrats for Life initiative and changed it so much that it sent millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion business.
The bill is strong on rhetoric, but its particulars are so bad that Rep. Chris Smith, a New Jersey Republican who heads the pro-life caucus of lawmakers in the House, told the Copely News Service in 2006 that the measure would “lead to more abortions, not less” and said pro-life lawmakers won’t support it.
He found it hypocritical that federal funds would go to abortion centers where “in one room, they talk contraception, and in the other room, they kill your baby.”
Rep. James Oberstar, a Minnesota Democrat who is the co-chairman of the House Pro-Life Caucus and the kind of moderate lawmaker the measure is designed to appeal to, wouldn’t support it either.
Ryan also told Copely at the time that he asked several major pro-life groups to join him in supporting the bill, but none would take the bait because of the money dedicated to Planned Parenthood.
The bill appears to be designed to provide abortion advocates and President Barack Obama cover for his extensive pro-abortion record.
More porkulus absurdity in Pennsylvania Ken Snyder $9,090 a month for “publicity” work of the porkulus
As if the $1.2 milion for ham, and $1.5 million for cheese from the porkulus wasn’t bad enough, how about payments of $9,090 per month for “publicity” of the porkulus to old democrat hack, and former worker eD Rendell campaigns worker Ken Snyder? From the Morning Call:
”Obviously it is important to educate the public about where the recovery dollars are working in the commonwealth,” PennDOT’s Chizmar said. ”The public deserves and has a right to know.”
Sure it is! Like the $1.2 million for ham, $1.5 million for cheese, $350,000 for a dumbwaiter, etc.
Bill Ritter wouldn’t even support Crap and Tax
Colorado Gov Bill Ritter, testifying before the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee on July 21, 2008 refused to endorse the Waxman-Markey global warming climate change bill known as Cap and Trade.
Watch Congressman Mike Castle’s townhall erupt of the Obama birth certificate issue
More and more people are starting to speak up and want to see Hussein’s birth certificate (not the fake one floating around that he made up). Watch this townhall erupt in Delaware
Fox again will be the only network NOT to air the Obama propaganda press conference on July 22
As the next Obama primetime healthcare propaganda press conference approaches, Fox has once again decided NOT to air it (Fox News will unfortunately). The other Obama mouthpiece networks naturally will also air the presser, although they reportedly aren’t happy about it. This forced the White House to shift the event’s time from the previously announced 9 p.m. to the lesser-watched hour of 8 p.m (Eastern time).
California budget deal announced – good and bad news
California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and legislative leaders have agreed on a compromise plan to close the state’s $23.6 billion budget gap. The good news? No new taxes, off shore oil drilling off the Santa Barbara coast, and welfare cuts! The bad news? inmates in state prisons will be released early and state employees to continue taking unpaid days off.
6 months later – Obama’s approval rating is 10th among the 12 post-World War II presidents
According to the latest USA/Gallup Poll. His approval rating now stands at 55%. Six months into his term, this now puts him 10th out of the 12 Presidents this country has had since World War II. This despite the constant media slurping, all the idiotic things Republicans have done, and the so called ‘historic nature’ of his election.
The truth shall set you free! Obama says his health care plan would bring “Inefficiencies” to the system.
Was it a gaffe? Or did Hussein Obama finally tell the truth about something? Visit RealClearPolitics to watch the video of his admission/gaffe.
Why is Obama hiding the budget numbers until after the Congress August recess?
Could it be a tactic to try and push through ObamaCARE? What does the Obama admin have to hide? This administration’s rosy forecasts have been proven too optimistic many times already. According this story from the AP (amazingly):
The administration’s annual midsummer budget update is sure to show higher deficits and unemployment and slower growth than projected in President Barack Obama’s budget in February and update in May, and that could complicate his efforts to get his signature health care and global-warming proposals through Congress
The release of the update – usually scheduled for mid-July – has been put off until the middle of next month, giving rise to speculation the White House is delaying the bad news at least until Congress leaves town on its August 7 summer recess.
As more people learn about ObamaCARE, the less people support it. 83 million would lose their private coverage under ObamaCARE
Actually, to be more precise, its 83.4 million according to American Spectator. This would mean that nearly half or 48.4% would lose their private health coverage, and shift those people to government run plans. In all, the government plan would have 103.4 million members once implemented, according to the Lewin analysis. Less than 50% of the American people, however in love with Obama are now approving of his handling of this ObamaCARE disaster.
Latest poll for 2012: 45% Romney 45% Obama – 48% Obama 42% Palin
Wow! Not only is Hussein Obama down to his lowest approval rating to date on the latest Rasmussen daily tracking poll of 50% (and disapproval of 49%), polls asking people who they would vote for in 2012 are futhur showing Obama’s eroding approval. According to the latest Rasmussen poll, If the race were between Obama and Mitt Romney, both came in at equally getting 45% of the vote from those polled. However, the media and left wing loon’s favorite target Sarah Palin isn’t exactly far behind. In that poll, 48% they would vote for Obama, while 42% say they would vote for Sarah Palin!
Sen Schumer D-NY staffer slams door & locks out constituents
Good ole Schmucky Schumer. Conservative Society for Action (CSA) delivers a proclamation from “WE the people” asking Senator Schumer to oppose HR 600, HR 4200, Sen Res 703, and more. Independent media covering the event were barred from excercising their right to coverage. The office staff showed unprofessional and arrogant behavior when the camera was allowed to roll. You be the judge!
Al Qaeda Affiliate Hizb ut-Tahrir stays at Hilton in Chicago – conference title – July 19 conference entitled, “The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam,”
Chicago. What a town. Well if it wasn’t Chicago, i’m sure San Francisco would have welcomed Al Qaeda Affiliate Hizb ut-Tahrir with open arms. Name one President in the history of the United States of America that has allowed a known muslim terrorist affilate group stay in the country and hold anti-American meetings? Was it honest Abe? FDR? Ronald Reagan? El Diablo dubya? Hussein Obama may have accomplished another first here.

Gary Locke – America needs to pay for China’s emissions
In another chance by the Obama marxist regime to blame America, Commerce Secretary Gary Locke says that WE should pay for China’s emission. From Reuters:
To address the serious threat of global warming, Americans should be required to “pay” for the carbon content of goods they consume from countries around the world, a top U.S. official said on Friday.
“It’s important that those who consume the products being made all around the world to the benefit of America — and it’s our own consumption activity that’s causing the emission of greenhouse gases, then quite frankly Americans need to pay for that,” Commerce Secretary Gary Locke told the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
Obama claims that he won’t sign any health-care bill that adds to the deficit – however ObamaCARE may fund abortions
As Obama continues his scare tactics to try and get ObamaCARE passed before the August “congress recess”, he now may be content to just wait until congress’s “recess” is over and have it done this year. Here’s the fraud’s weekly address clamining that he wouldn’t sign any ObamaCARE bill adding to the already almost $2 trillion deficit despite claims by the CBO that ObamaCARE will significantly expands the federal responsibility for health care costs
And whats that about ObamaCARE funding abortions? According to Gateway Pundit and the Susan B. Anthony list,
The Biggest battle for the Unborn this year is about to begin! With Congress considering a massive health care reform before their August recess, pro-lifers must continue to insist that President Obama and Congress respect the consciences of millions of Americans and exclude funding for abortion in a new health care program. In his speech to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund in July of 2008, President Obama stated that in his mind “reproductive care is essential care, basic care, so it is at the center, the heart of the [health care] plan that I propose.” When asked for clarification later, an Obama spokesman said that reproductive care included abortion.” If Health Care reform passes without an express ban on abortions then Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will force the American people to directly pay for abortions for years to come. Please tell your Representatives to ban the funding of abortion. Tell them you don’t want your tax dollars to pay for abortions!
The Susan B Anthony list linked above also has an anti-ObamaCARE petition you can sign. I highly suggest you do so.
Here is a video in which White House Budget Director Peter Orszag admits that ObamaCare may fund abortions
What does $1,191,200 in stimulus buy you? 2 pounds of frozen ham (sliced)
Hey, don’t just take my “neocon”, “right-wing extremist” word for it, for this joke for yourself from Recovery.gov.
Surely CLOUGHERTY PACKING, LLC must be part of the vast right-wing conspiracy right? I wonder how many jobs that $1,191,200 created (or saved)? How many people does it take to make a career out of slicing 2 pounds of frozen ham? Anyone? Anyone?
Either there is something terribly wrong with this porkulus plan, or the details being provided on the new $18 million re-designed website aren’t complete. How about $1,562,568 for MOZZARELLA CHEESE?
Gerald Walpin suing Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps for wrongful termination!
Gerald Walpin, the AmeriCorps inspector general who was fired in June amid controversy over his investigation of a politically-connected supporter of President Obama, has filed suit alleging that the firing was “unlawful,” “politically driven,” “procedurally defective” and “a transparent and clumsily-conducted effort to circumvent the protections” given to inspectors general under the Inspectors General Reform Act of 2008, according to the Washington Examiner!
Walpin’s suit, filed in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, is against the Corporation for National and Community Service, which oversees AmeriCorps. Also named are Nicola Goren, the acting CEO of the Corporation, Frank Trinity, its general counsel, and Raymond Limon, the Corporation’s “chief human capital officer.” The suit asks the court to declare Walpin’s firing unlawful and restore him to his position as the Corporation’s inspector general.
At the time of his firing, Walpin was involved in a dispute with the Corporation’s board over his handling a case involving the misuse of hundreds of thousands of dollars in AmeriCorps funds by Kevin Johnson, the former NBA star who is now mayor of Sacramento, California and a prominent supporter of President Obama. The board disapproved of Walpin’s aggressive probe of Johnson, and the investigation also sparked conflict with the acting U.S. attorney in Sacramento, because of fears that the probe — which could have resulted in Johnson being barred from ever winning another federal grant — might stand in the way of the city receiving its part of billions of dollars in federal stimulus money. This spring, the Corporation’s top management decided to lift sanctions against Johnson. Walpin strongly disapproved; at a board meeting on May 20, he frankly criticized board members for going along with that decision to let Johnson off easy.On June 10, Walpin received a call from Norman Eisen, the Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform, giving Walpin an hour either to resign or be fired. Eisen’s ultimatum appeared to be a violation of the Inspectors General Reform Act, which requires the president to give Congress 30 days’ notice, plus an explanation of the reasons for his action, before firing an inspector general. (Then-Sen. Barack Obama was a co-sponsor of that legislation.) It also appeared that Eisen’s call to force Walpin to resign was an effort to push Walpin out of his job so the White House would not have to go through the 30-day process, or give a reason for its action. When Walpin refused to quit, the White House informed Congress and began the 30-day countdown.
Obama vs Obama on stimulus
Obama changes course on the stimulus. Where are the jobs? House Republicans put this video out of Hussein contradicting himself on the Porkulus bill. My question is, what took so long for this video to be created?
Oh wait. NOW I get it! The porkulus bill wasn’t meant to “stimulate” the economy at all, but rather “stabilize” it..
Guess what? Another prime-time Obama propaganda press conference July 22nd
I don’t know if Obama is trying to achieve some sort of record for propaganda press conferences in his first year (or his total term), but if you thought the previous 3 prime time press conferences where nothing but snorefests and propaganda machines, wait until July 22nd at 9pm EDT. If you thought the ABC health care “town hall was bad”, (to quote Obama), you ain’t seen nothing yet!
RIP Walter Cronkite dead at 92
No, I’m not going to get into the whole I liked Cronkite, or I didn’t. The main reason for this post is that its as Hotair says, a basic human sympathy thing. Compared to the “journalists” of today, while Cronkite was a liberal, he never let it show (aside from Vietnam) and affect in his reporting like the piles of trash of today. On the other hand, Cronkite’s death will probably turn the news coverage into Michael Jackson light for the next week, Fox News already wiped out Hannity and O’Reilly tonight because of this. So unless you are into the whole 24/7 news cycle thing of an “icon” I suggest you get your Netflix account up and running for the next week or so. Here are a couple of his more memorable news clips:
Walter Cronkite announcing the death of JFK on November 22, 1963
Walter Cronkite announcing the death of MLK in Memphis, TN April 4, 1968
