STOP the Transfer of Terrorist Detainees – sign the petition!
If you are an American who does not support the transfer of detainees from the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GITMO) to American soil, you can now sign a petition and support Jim Inhofe’s (R-Okla.) amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010. Inhofe will make sure that the Senate Majority and Minority leaders see this petition and are aware of your positions on this important national security matter. Inhofe will also continue fighting to expose the truth about GITMO and the consequences of proceeding with shutting it down.

Orrin Hatch’s lovefest for Chris Dodd is as disgusting as it is puzzling
Hopefully the next time this idiot Orrin Hatch is up for election in Utah, the people of the state vote him out. Chris Dodd, one of the most corrupt democrat senators out there (and that’s really saying something) is being slurped by Hatch. In an interview that aired on National Public Radio on Thursday morning, Hatch praised Dodd as “one of the better senators here.” From the Hill:
Hatch was being interviewed alongside Dodd on Democratic efforts on health care, and despite their differences, a love fest ensued.
“Now, I want to compliment Chris, because when Sen. (Ted) Kennedy has suffered from his illness, they asked Chris to chair this. And to come right in without staff and to be able do the job that he’s done, I’m really impressed,” Hatch said. “Of course, I always have been; Chris is one of the better Senators here. And I know that Ted felt that this would be in good hands with him.”

Joe Biden: We have to spend money to keep from going bankrupt

During an AARP town hall meeting today, the moron Biden told the people in attedance that unless the Democrat-supported health care plan becomes law the nation will go bankrupt and that the only way to avoid that fate is for the government to spend more money. “And folks look, AARP knows and the people working here today know, the president knows, and I know, that the status quo is simply not acceptable,” Biden said at the event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. “It’s totally unacceptable. And it’s completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it. It can’t do it financially.”
“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.
“Well, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, I’m telling you.”
What the media wouldn’t tell you about ObamaCARE: a provision that will kill the market for personal, individual insurance forcing everyone into the “consumer option”
Theres no such thing as a free lunch. Theres also no such thing as truely “free” health care. And if ObamaCARE becomes law, there will be no market for individual insurance either. According to this latest Investors’ Business Daily article, theres also a provision in the Democrat takeover bill that will effectively kill off the market for individual insurance and funnel consumers into the “public option.” And if you like this, you’ll love health care rationing too!
Do “Blue Dog” democrats reallly even exist?
All i keep hearing about the ObamaCARE bill and Crap and Tax bills, is how they might not have enough votes in the senate to pass, due to the so called “blue dog” Democrats. But do these so called “blue dog” democrats, aka conservative or centrist democrats even exist? I don’t see it. The so called blue dogs like Ben Nelson, Evan Byah, etc all voted for all the recent crap passed such as the “stimulus”, omnibus bill, etc. Supposedly, according to the Hill, Centrist or “blue dog” Democrats are threatening to oppose their party’s healthcare legislation unless House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accepts changes that make the bill more to their liking.

Under the current draft of the Democrat healthcare legislation, members of Congress are curiously exempt from the government-run health care option, keeping their existing health plans and services on Capitol Hill. In a coordinated response to comments made by Arizona Republican senator John Kyl calling for a the stimulus bill to be halted, the Obama administration this week coordinated a series of letters to the governor of Arizona, with the implicit message (from ABC):
Arizona Republicans responded that the White House was bullying their state.
On This Week with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, Sen. Jon Kyl, R-Ariz., said of the $787 billion stimulus package, “the reality is it hasn’t helped yet. Only about 6.8 percent of the money has actually been spent. What I proposed is, after you complete the contracts that are already committed, the things that are in the pipeline, stop it.”
A day later, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer received letters from Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan and Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar all pointing out the billions headed to Arizona.
