State run media continues – Obama to be interviewed on ALL THREE networks about socialized health care

You would think after the Another Barack Channel health care “townhall” with planted members and questions propaganda mouth piece last month would be enough. I mean, The ratings were so bad that even some re-runs of some comedy shows on Fox got better ratings. But alas, that wasn’t enough, as tommorow the news divisions of all three broadcast networks have decided to come to Obama’s rescue, and on the very same evening, air interviews with the President concerning this issue.

The latest Al Gore carbon footprint spewed from his mouth

Speaking in Australia, Algore spewed his latest carbon footprint (from his mouth, not his backside), and was asked about a British court ruling that found errors in his “An Inconvenient Truth.” His response? (From Shock and Blog):

HEATHER EWART: There was also, though, a British judge who ruled that there were in fact, I think, nine errors when it was challenged in court?

AL GORE: Well, the ruling was in my favour.

Obama’s backpeddling on the intended goal of the stimlus continues

Obama said in The Washington Post that he never envisioned that his stimulus package would afford quick relief to the American economy, but would do so only after it had run its two-year course. Joe Biden the moron vice President has said “they misread the economy”, and has admited at least 30% of the money from the stimulus can be wasted (this on top of the waste of liberal pet projects such as Pelosi’s San Francisco Rodent). This is quite a different tone than before the passage of the stimulus in which “we had to pass this bill NOW to avoid the worst collapse since the Great Depression”. Well since the porkulus bill has passed, his lies have been exposed. With unemployment now at 9.5% and expected to go as high as 11-12% by the end of the year, this completely refutes his claims of no nigher than 8% unemployement if the bill passed. in which it wasn’t supposed to go above 8% with the passage of the bill. He claimed it would “create or save” 600,000 jobs, yet the economy has lost AT LEAST 450,000 jobs every months since the bill’s passage. But as his polls numbers continue to drop, he still has political capital to work with. There is talk of Porkulus 2, and of course the impending passages of the socialized health care bill and Crap and Tax.

One week later – Obama still -7 in Rasmussen’s “strongly” approve/disaprove poll

With a 52% overall approval rating. After last night’s booing at the allstar game in St. Louis that sounds like a pretty accurate number. But what may be over more telling, odd, or encouraging, depending on your perspective, Rasmussen asked voters to compare which party was best on 10 issues. While Obama’s ratings are likely better than his party’s, the Republicans can take heart in trumping their opposition in eight of the 10 categories. Personally, considering the state of the current GOP, i find this very odd myself, but after seeing the democrats in action in 2007, and in hyperspace since 2009, I guess i shouldn’t be terribly surprised.

Newt Offers Common Sense Approach

Consensus is spreading that the Obama-Pelosi-Reid stimulus is a complete failure. Now is the time for conservatives to offer an alternative plan–one that might actually work to bring real HOPE to the millions of Americans who are unemployed thanks to Obama’s scheme to CHANGE the USA into a socialist republic. Newt Gingrinch has some suggestions that look promising and could lead to enough of a financial edge that those in Congress with guts could demand that taxes be cut and our ailing economy given a genuine stimulus. Here they are:
1. Capture as much of the TARP money as remains unexpended;
2. Carefully go through the uncommitted portion of the $787 billion politician pay off bill from February and set aside $300 billion to $400 billion to pay for the tax cuts.
3. Incorporate into the bill offshore drilling and other pro energy measures. These would be accurately scored as revenue raisers through more development and from the economic reflow in higher tax revenue through keeping the energy money at home instead of sending it overseas.
4. Sell the private sector assets the government has unwisely acquired during the last year. The economy will grow faster without the threat of government controlled, bureaucratically supervised and politician defined companies. Whatever the value of the government stake in the various companies, put them on the auction block and get them back into the market. This will yield billions in revenue.
5. Have a one time recapture of frozen corporate assets currently held offshore with a one or two year window for returning them to the United States. This has been estimated to produce a substantial amount of revenue for the government.
6. Have a six month amnesty for back taxes to generate voluntary self policing. When tried at the state level this has produced significant resources.
7. The bigger economy with more jobs will take people off of unemployment and off of welfare and will reduce the dependence on Medicaid and other government programs. The resultant drop in the cost of government will be a significant drop in government expenditures offsetting a significant part of the short term revenue loss through the tax cuts (this was our experience in the late 1990s and in this down economy it would be even more true).

Sarah Palin – A ‘Cap and Tax’ Road to Economic Disaster

Sarah Palin’s opeD in the Washington Post is creating quite a stir, liberals are squirming to try and attack her again, as yet again they can’t handle the truth. In Palin’s Washington Post opeD, Palin explains what at least some people knew the day the idea of this Crap and Tax bill was mentioned. Heres a snippet from the Palin post:

Unfortunately, many in the national media would rather focus on the personality-driven political gossip of the day than on the gravity of these challenges. So, at risk of disappointing the chattering class, let me make clear what is foremost on my mind and where my focus will be:

I am deeply concerned about President Obama’s cap-and-trade energy plan, and I believe it is an enormous threat to our economy. It would undermine our recovery over the short term and would inflict permanent damage.

American prosperity has always been driven by the steady supply of abundant, affordable energy. Particularly in Alaska, we understand the inherent link between energy and prosperity, energy and opportunity, and energy and security. Consequently, many of us in this huge, energy-rich state recognize that the president’s cap-and-trade energy tax would adversely affect every aspect of the U.S. economy.

There is no denying that as the world becomes more industrialized, we need to reform our energy policy and become less dependent on foreign energy sources. But the answer doesn’t lie in making energy scarcer and more expensive! Those who understand the issue know we can meet our energy needs and environmental challenges without destroying America’s economy.

A look at a “single payer system” for healthcare – Native American’s system

Many of you undoubtably have heard about the nightmares of Canadian, French, and Great Britan government run “single payer”  health care systems. One of which you probably haven’t heard or read much about is one that already exists right here in the United States – the Native American Indian Health Service. This a single-payer system that rations care to Native Americans on reservations across the country — and kills them through neglect and a severe lack of resources. Hotair has more.

Obama booed, throws weak “first pitch” at MLB all star game in St. Louis then jokes about the country being out of money

Not all boos, but considering the Messiah is supposed to be loved by all except “racist neocon”, I guess there were a ton of racists in the crowd in St. Louis tonight. Aside from that, his “pitch” wasn’t very impressive either (much like his administration). Greta Van Sustren threw a better ‘first pitch’ at the New York Mets game than empty suit Hussein. Michelle Arms Obama should have thrown out the first pitch instead to save the family more embarrassment.

Obama threw like a female tonight. Maybe it was like a “Wise Latina”? And he even took the time to ‘joke’ about how we are ‘out of money’ in the broadcast booth!

Also, being the big Chicago Whitesox fan that he is, He also loves/love “Cominskey Field”. BTW, where is “Cominskey Field”? I knew they played in something called COMISKY PARK at one time. Hmmm.. Was he really thinking Norm Chomsky?

How to pay for the democRATS health care bill – surtaxes

From Fox Business News:

WASHINGTON–The healthcare overhaul proposal offered Tuesday by U.S. House of Representatives’ Democrats will include an extra 5.4% tax on those earning more than $1 million.

One congressional aide said that would bring the top tax rate for the wealthy to 45%.

An additional tax of 1% would be levied on those couples earning more than $350,000. Those with $500,000 incomes would pay an extra 1.5%, according to the legislative documents. Increases could be triggered in 2013 to 2.0% and 3.0%, respectively. The millionaires’ tax would remain at 5.4%, according to legislative documents.

The House Ways and Means Committee has scheduled debate and votes are due begin Thursday.

Democrats lied, transparency died – Hoyer’s remarks on health care not to be debated

From Michelle Malkin:

(WASHINGTON, DC) – In an astonishing acceleration of the stifling of debate and transparency in the House, Democrats tonight voted to adjourn and gag the planned special orders speeches of U.S. Representatives John Carter (R-TX) and Steve King (R-IA).

Carter and King had announced they would discuss Democrat Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s (D-MD) statement that the upcoming health care reform effort would fail if Members were required to read the legislation. House Democrats accordingly silenced floor debate on the issue by voting to close early.

“The Democrats are the majority – for now,” says Carter, House Republican Conference Secretary. “They chose to silence debate on the floor by gagging House Republican Members from using their historical right to speak after the close of the day. But they cannot stop us from speaking and letting the American public know the truth about their ongoing assault against representative democracy.”

Obama’s Gerald Ford moment in Italy

LOL.

La Raza Sotomayor Day 2 confirmation with living streaming

Michelle Malkin has the summary. Hotair has live streaming of the confirmation hear if you can stomach it.

The AmeriCorps/Walpin IG scandal that just wouldn’t go away (despite Obama’s wishing it would)

“We’re not there yet,” one Democratic source on Capitol Hill said last week, when asked about the prospect for hearings on the Obama administration’s firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin. According to the American Spectator and The Other McCain:

Congressional investigators are still conducting interviews in the case, so the question of whether to “pull the trigger” on a full-blown inquiry — with subpoenas for witnesses to testify under oath at committee hearings — has yet to be decided.

The fact that both Democrats and Republicans are involved in investigating the Walpin dismissal is, however, highly significant. With Democrats controlling both houses of Congress, bipartisanship is absolutely necessary to getting the truth about the AmeriCorps case, as with the other cases in the smoldering “IG Gate” scandal.

Sensitive political considerations are involved, given the potential fallout from investigations into whether the Obama administration — which promised to be the most “transparent” in history — is trying to muzzle the independent watchdogs tasked with preventing waste, fraud and abuse in federal agencies.

In the span of barely a week, beginning with the White House’s quit-or-be-fired ultimatum to Walpin on June 10, two other inspectors general left their posts in what appears to be a pattern of administration pressure against IGs:

• International Trade Commission IG Judith Gwynne was told June 17 that her contract would not be renewed, shortly after Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) sent a letter to ITC asking about a March incident in which “certain procurement files were removed forcibly from the possession of the Inspector General by a Commission employee.” Grassley had also asked questions about the unusual arrangement in which Gwynne was employed by the ITC on a series of six-month temporary contracts, a situation scarcely conducive to the IG’s independence of agency authority.

Robert M. Groves, of Michigan, to be Director of the 2010 Census passes – ACORN is thrilled

Bet you didn’t hear Robert M. Groves and ACORN’s victory yesterday with all the media getting thrills up their legs because of racist/sexist “historic” Sotomayor did you?

Fewer Americans feel safer from terrorism under Obama than they did under Dubya

I suppose the left wing nutjobs can now call Investors Business Daily a right-wing extremist site for writing this article, but facts are facts. Just one in four Americans, or 26% of those polled, now believe the Obama’s polices have made America safer from terrorism. Contrast that with the last poll on big bad evil Dubya back in January that found that 49% believed President Bush’s policies had made the U.S. safer, despite a significantly lower overall job approval ratings of 33.5%

Obama’s teleprompter shatters – much like what he’s done to the economy

Oooops. About halfway through Obama’s propaganda speech on urban and metropolitan policy in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building one of Totus’s teleprompters shattered, crashing to the wooden floor and breaking into several pieces. Obama’s reaction? “Oh, goodness, Sorry about that, guys.”

You ain’t seen nothin’ yet. Budget deficit hits $1 TRILLION

Congrats to America! For the first time in my adult life, and only nine months into the fiscal year, the federal deficit has topped $1 trillion for the first time.

Steve Ratner stepping down as auto czar – Ron Bloom to replace the rat

Steve Ratner the rat is stepping down to return to “private life”. Does this mean one less Hussein obama Czar? Nope. According to Bloomberg, Ron Bloom, another member of the Treasury’s auto task force, will run the group, said tax cheat Timothy Geithner in a statement. With GM and Chrysler emerging from bankruptcy, “we enter a new phase” of the government’s involvement in the industry, the statement said.

Wells Fargo sues………. ITSELF!

HUH!? A reader named Stanley at Michelle Malkin’s blog sent word that Wells Fargo is suing itself, and has hired two different law firms to do so. You know, the same Wells Fargo that got all that TARP money?

Your stimulus dollars are working! New Hampshire stimulus: $8.32 million per job.

And how about the city of Hoover. They get $400,000 in porkulus for a “landscaping and beautification project” at the Interstate 65 and U.S. 31 interchange. Not quite the Salt Water mouse or gang tatoo removal, but your porkulus dollars at work!
