Judge orders work halted at Libyan estate in New Jersey where Moammar Gadhafi wants to stay
Franktly, I don’t understand why this dirtbag Gadhafi would even be allowed to set foot on American soil in the first place, but after the last few years of A-Jad being allowed here, I guess I shouldn’t be too terribly surprised. According to Breitbart, a judge has ordered a halt to work being done outside a northern New Jersey mansion where Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi (MOO’-ah-mahr gah-DAH’-fee) wanted to stay during his first U.S. visit. Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes wants all renovations at the 5-acre estate stopped to prevent Gadhafi from staying there when he visits the United Nations in September. A judge gave Wildes a partial victory Monday, stopping work on the estate’s pool and driveway.

As I said the night that Ted Kennedy died, despite my completely opposite political beliefs, I still at least had enough respect for the man, AND the family not to go off on a liberal like tangent and start trashing the guy, bringing up the whole Mary Jo Kopechne incident, or anything else. But what was done today at Kennedy’s funeral was beyond disgusting, (well, maybe not for liberals). The Democrats today pushed for Obamacare or KennedyCare, or whatever gimmick name they can come up now turning the televised funeral, NOT only using a kid as a prop, but having the pastor preceding over the burial today “reading a letter” written by Kennedy to Obama to pass the healthcare bill. Anyone have a running count on how many times the topic of “universal healthcare” was actually brought up. Democrats, you are truely a disgrace to this nation. Another interesting observation today was that Michelle Obama fell sound asleep at 10:32am CST (11:32am EST) during Ted Kennedy’s funeral, according to HillBuzz (odd, the video was recently removed by Youtube, but a new one from ABC has appeared). Perhaps he was simply bored, because the pastor wasn’t yelling at the top of his lungs “GOD DAMN AMERICA!”?

One of Comrade Obama’s czars, the “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg who is “ruling” on some of the outrageous pay checks given to some Wall Street executives, isn’t exactly exempt himself from big paychecks and the trappings of wealth. GOP Gov. Charlie Crist on Friday named former aide George LeMieux to fill the seat of outgoing GOP Sen. Mel Martinez, according to Politico.
LeMieux, a longtime Republican insider in the state, has served as chairman of the Broward County Republican Party, deputy state attorney general and campaign manager for Crist’s 2006 run for governor. He ran unsuccessfully for the state House in 1998.
LeMieux was among nine other candidates who made Crist’s short list, which included several former congressmen, former Jacksonville Mayor John Delaney and former state attorney general and secretary of state Jim Smith.
Martinez, who announced on August 7 he would step down when his successor was named, congratulated LeMieux and promised a smooth transition.
“George is bright, capable, and an accomplished administrator,” Martinez said in a statement.
GOP state Rep. Jennifer Carroll, another contender for the vacant seat, told POLITICO that she found out LeMieux was the pick when Crist called her Friday morning to inform her.
