He did what he was asked to do. No matter what deals were made in the background I'm sure President Clinton did what he was asked to do and the two girls are home with their families. Gore can go to hell for all I care, it was uncomfortable seeing him trying to get in the picture and inject himself into this situation. President Clinton was the man of the hour, not Gore. Even if Gore negotiated the entire deal he should have had the class to let President Clinton be in the forefront and get out of the picture. I, as a conservative, refuse to fall into the trap that everything Bill Clinton does is bad and should be critiized. We, as human beings, are more complicated than that. He did the right thing and whatever had been asked of him for the country and those two girls. I can also appreciate how difficult it might have been for him to do it especially the way North Korea acted after he made a deal with them and played him for a fool. I hope I'm not the only conservative out there that can appreciate what he did.
