Americans pay deference, however, to conviction and we can not doubt his conviction (however convoluted it might be to most of us) and his willingness to step to the forefront for something he believes in and charity work. I wish the Republican ex-Presidents would start making some waves and criticizing our current President like the Democrats do all the time. I'm an Independent and I hope there is a pox on both parties because of what you have done to our country but I can understand why American voters might see Carter as at least having some balls and conviction more than the rest.
