David William Hedrick – Marine Corp Veteran destroys Brian Baird at townhall

In case you haven’t heard about Brian Baird a Congressman from Washington State, he is the one who said those at townhalls expressing their concerns about ObamaCARE were exhibiting a “lynch mob mentality” and “close to Brownshirt tactics,” a reference to Nazi stormtroopers. David William Hedrick, a member of the silent majority, decided that he was not going to be silent anymore. So, he let U.S. Congressman Brian Baird have it. He was one questioner out of 38, that was called at random from an audience that started at 3,000 earlier in the evening. Not expecting to be called on, he quickly scratched what he wanted to say on a borrowed piece of paper and with a pen that he borrowed from someone else in the audience minutes before he spoke.     I, David William Hedrick, a member of the loudmouth caucus, decided that I was going to get my fifteen minutes of fame. So, I insulted U.S. Congressman Brian Baird by calling him a domestic enemy with no evidence whatsoever. I was one questioner out of 38, that was called at random from an audience that started at 3,000 earlier in the evening. Not expecting to be given this opportunity to preen, I quickly scratched what I wanted to rant about on a borrowed piece of paper and with a pen that I borrowed from someone else in the audience minutes before I spoke. So much for any coherent analysis of the needs and impacts of health care reform in the U.S.

    What I think is most unfortunate in this whole healthcare issue is that I have not seen one piece of evidence from either side that shows serious debate of the issues and positions of what should and what should not be done. The only thing I have unfortunately seen is people who however well meaning don’t debate but simply yell their viewpoint without ever listening to the other side. And that is a great tragedy.

    I agree with this Marine. He said what all of Washington needs to hear. My question, how come it is never mentioned that this whole health care debate is unconstitutional? We need to push bringing the private consumer back into the health care equation. Look at LASIK eye surgery. It is not funded by insurance and is a consumer driven product. The costs have come down and the efficiencies have increased. We need to push Health Savings Accounts and show the public that there is a better way than government. Continue to put the democraps on the defensive. I love it.

    This is the same Brian Baird (D-WA) who apologized that “others” were labelling anti-Obamacare patriots “brown-shirts.” He then went on, in another venue, to equate anti-Obamacare patriots as tantamount to Timothy McVeigh.

    Wrong, Mr Baird, if there is anyone like Timothy McVeigh, it’s the SIEU and ACORN thugs you and your communist buddies are soliciting to show up at your town hall meetings to rough up anti-Obamacare patriots. Like Timothy McVeigh, they are nothing more than government incited thugs.

    Dave: what evidence do you need? The government wants to take over the health care system… isn’t that enough? Sometimes we only have to reduce it to the basic concept and make our decisions on whether or not it the right thing. If the government wanted to re-institute slavery, for example, would we be remiss if we dismissed it outright or would we be required to debate the issue? The majority of people DON’T want the government to be the health care provider and dictate the terms of how we provide for ourselves and our families. Many of us have a hard time dealing with Medicare and Medicaid as it is. I’ll make it simple: we don’t want the government in our lives any more than they already are and we wish we had kept them out of more of it already.

    There doesn’t need to be any debate!
    As Mr Henrick already knows and what Obamacare believers are too ignorant to understand, we already have government health care for Veterans and Native Americans (Don’t get sick after June). Would anyone in their right mind want that same kind of health care for themselves or their loved ones?

    Mr. Henrick is a real American hero. The antics I see from the Obama White House stink – especially when his Dept. of Ed. recommended that classes in schools write relevant quotes from Obama. I know another leader who had school children – Mao! I tell the White House and all politicians: LEAVE MY KIDS ALONE. They are smart enough and have excellent reasonong skills to decide on their own about the socialist leader and his policies.

    So a disabled veteran, with government-provided health insurance benefits, wants to run for Congress, where he will receive government-provided health insurance benefits…so he can make sure that others cannot receive government-provided health insurance benefits. Brilliant!

    I too am a disabled veteran, and have been in the VA system since 1993. My treatment was, for far too many of those years sub-par, only recently have I been treated as a person.
