September 11, 2001 – 8 years later

First of all, to anyone out there who is a 9/11 “truther” there are a number of choice words I could use right know regarding what utter scum, and filth you are, but I will choose not to go beyond what I just said. That being said, it has now been 8 years since “Islamic Extremists” launched their utterly horrific and needless attack on this country, MY country. Being on the west coast, when I was awaken and told what happened I was as you could imagine, stunned and almost numb. To the people who watched it live as it happened, I can imagine how horrified you must have been watching this unfold. When EVERYONE in this country came together after that horrible event, regardless of ideology, it was one of the brightest moments in this country’s history. Sadly today, only 8 years later, people have forgotten about the teamwork and the genuine love everyone had for one another back then. Sarah Palin has posted a facebook entry regarding 9/11 (no, this is not partisan). So, please put aside political views today and take a moment sometime during the day today to remember the victims and countless heroes of 9-11-01. Please don’t forget our troops who are overseas defending our great country and those who gave their lives.
