National Education Association (NEA) Recommended Reading: Saul Alinsky, The American Organizer
This little gem was discovered by jefe_viejo’s who blog is called Jefe’s Ramblings (though the story isn’t posted there).
For those who don’t know about who/what the NEA is, its National Education Association. Wikipedia’s description of the NEA is: The National Education Association (NEA) is the largest professional organization and largest labor union in the United States, representing public school teachers and other support personnel, faculty and staffers at colleges and universities, retired educators, and college students preparing to become teachers. The NEA has 3.2 million members and is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The group holds a congressional charter under Title 36 of the United States Code. With affiliate organizations in every state and in more than 14,000 communities across the nation, it employs over 550 staff and had a budget of more than $307 million for the 2006–2007 fiscal year. Dennis Van Roekel is the NEA’s current president. NEA is incorporated as a professional association in a few states and as a labor union in most states (but it is not a member of the AFL-CIO, however it is a member of Education International, the global federation of teacher’s unions). On its website, the NEA describes itself as a “professional employee organization,”although it is often categorized as a labor union with strong leftist and liberal leanings, particularly by critics. While browsing their site, you may have stumbled onto their recommended reading section. And what turns up?

Yes folks, the NEA’s recommended reading in two of Alinsky’s books:
Jason Shih, Assistant Deputy Director for Jon Corzine Campaign Aide arrested for drugs, WABC scrubs story from their site
Media censorship at its finest. Jason Shih, who is an Assistant Deputy Director to the campaign of New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine was arrested last night on drug charges. WABC’s website had posted this story entitled “Corzine campaign worker arrested” suddenly, within about an hour, the story was magically deleted from the WABC site. Drug Policy Central achived the story
Alan Grayson now whining: “Fox News is stalking me!”
The comedy show that Alan Grayson has become is becoming borderline insane. For those who don’t know (or even do), Griff Jenkins, a Fox News correspondent confronted the nutjob Grayson on Wednesday of this past week repeatedly asking Grayson what he meant when he called Federal Reserve adviser Linda Robertson a “K Street whore” and whether he would apologize to Vice President Cheney for saying “blood drips from his teeth when he speaks.” Griff Jenkins also asked Grayson for his reaction to respond to New York Democratp. Anthony Weiner’s quote in POLITICO referring to Alan Grayson as “one fry short of a Happy Meal.” Grayson of course wouldn’t answer any questions and said to Jenkins to “make an appointment.” According to Politico, he is now calling Fox News stalkers and that Grayson wouldn’t be taken down by Fox’s “weapons of mass distraction.”

North Woods Advertising firm suing Alan Grayson
HA HA HA HA! According to Politico, nutjob Alan Grayson has been served with a lawsuit alleging he failed to pay a $20,000 “win bonus” to a Minnesota advertising firm that worked for his campaign last year. The lawsuit stems from a disagreement between the Grayson campaign and North Woods Advertising. North Woods was to be paid $20,000 if Grayson won his campaign last year, as unfortunately he did. This is known as the “win bonus” ad agencies like North Woods get if their client wins. More from Politico:
Hillary Clinton – We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.
In between dissing Dubya and Pakistan, Hillary Clinton proudly admitted the following (from the Pakistan Daily Times):
“Maybe that’s the case; maybe they’re not gettable. I don’t know… As far as we know, they are in Pakistan,” Clinton told senior Pakistani newspaper editors in Lahore, AFP reported. “The percentage of taxes on GDP (in Pakistan) is among the lowest in the world… We (the United States) tax everything that moves and doesn’t move, and that’s not what we see in Pakistan,” she said.
Join Michelle Bachman at the Capital Building in Washington DC on November 5th to stop “the Crown Jewel of Socialism” aka ObamaCare/PelosiCARE
Rep. Michelle Bachman of Minnesota is calling all Americans to join her on the steps of the Capital Building in Washington DC this coming Thursday November 5th to stop “the Crown Jewel of Socialism” – the democrat’s bill to take over the healthcare industry. Or better known as ObamaCARE/PelosiCARE. The 1990 page monstrosity includes tax hikes, taxes on medical devices, government funded abortions, etc. Bachman, who appeared on the Sean Hannity show tonight mentions that if government takes over healthcare, it will control 48% of the U.S. economy (it currently controls 30% with the current takeovers and bailouts).

Obama considering shipping Gitmo detainees to South Carolina
YOU LIE Obama! Actually, residents of South Carolina better hope he is. According to Fox News, The Navy brig in Charleston, S.C., is “very much in play” as an option to transfer Guantanamo Bay detainees for military commission hearings in the U.S. Some of the sources of the Fox story describe the Naval Consolidated Brig — which has housed at least two enemy combatants since 9/11 — as a leading option being considered by the task force reviewing the Guantanamo issue.

According to Breitbart, the committee said it is investigating whether Rep. Laura Richardson failed to disclose required information on her financial disclosure forms and received special treatment from a lender.

The NRCC dumps Dede Scozzafava in NY-23
73wire and RedState have mention they have heard that the NRCC is pulling out of NY-23. 73wire says it’s coming from a credible source familiar with the operation inside of the beltway Committee. The blogger at 73wire says he’s on the ground and has personal confirmation from an additional, credible source that the NRCC is indeed pulling back its operation here in New York’s 23rd Congressional district special election. RedState also has this info:
Does anyone actually think Bill Ayers or Jeremiah Wright would use their real names on the White House visitors list?
Lots of stuff going around today with rumors of Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright appearing on the White House “vistors lists”. Hotair.com explains the the possible errors in the theory that the well know dirtbags with those names, are other people. For instance, There are two different “William Ayers” appearing on the list, one with a different “middle initial” than the terrorist one. In the White House’s new blog post (IRONY) Transparency like you’ve never seen before, they also try and explain this.
Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times alters story about Dover Air Force Base Photo-Op?
Once again, Jeff Zelenyhas whitewashed a story in the New York Times. Originally, the New York Times reported Obama’s visit to Dover AFB and the arrival of fallen serviceman as:
The images and the sentiment of the president’s five-hour trip to Delaware were intended by the White House to convey to the nation that Mr. Obama was not making his Afghanistan decision lightly or in haste.
Aka, the New York Times basically admitting that the Obama appearance was a Photo Op. But suddenly, the quote from the New York Times changed posted by both Greyhawk at Mudville Gazette and Nice Deb both noticed the change :
Joe Lieberman to campaign for some Republican candidates during the 2010 midterm elections
Joe Lieberman is turning into a true independant, and not just an independant toeing the Democrat line. Though he caucauses with Democrats, and was at one time a Democrat, last year he joined the campaign trial with Joe McCain (who was probably more of a Democrat than a Republican anyway). This week, Lieberman came out against any sort of public option, with liberals grinding their teeth, throwing insults his way on twitter and other social networks. Today comes word that Joe Lieberman tells ABC News that he will campaign for some Republican candidates during the 2010 midterm elections and may not seek the Democratic Senate nomination when he runs for re-election in 2012.
Gore Vidal on the Joy Behar show about George W. Bush – Thats one murder that I missed not committing
Facebook continues to allow “Kill George Bush” groups on their sites, and CNN’s HLN with Joy Behar (Behag) has guests that admit they wanted to kill George W. Bush. Is there something wrong here or is it just me? Maybe its just trendy now for liberals to admit to wanting to kill a former President. Gore Vidal had this to say on the Behar show:
I couldn’t jump into the screen fast enough to kill him off! Thats one murder that I missed not committing
One would expect a statement like this to draw a gasp, or hesitation from the host, and producers of the show, but Behar, being the complete liberal hag that she is had a good chuckle at this, as did the producers as you can hear in the following audio/video. Behar also had the nerve to reply to Vidal:
It’s too late anyway.
Now someone tell me. What would happen if some idiot on TV or the radio said the same statement about Obama?

Washed up British singer from the 1980s Sting says: Obama’s sent from God
Ok. I admit it. I’m a kid of the 80s, I listened to Sting back then. Of course, he was a lot younger and smarter back then. Now at 58 years old Sting suddenly becomes religious and says Obama might be a divine answer to the world’s problems. According to Breitbart:
“In many ways, he’s sent from God,” he joked in an interview, “because the world’s a mess.”
Aren’t atheists supposed to be against “God”? Apparently, this drugged out 80s singer thinks Obama is better qualified to be POTUS because of his background, his education, particularly in regard to Islam. Why would he have any background in Islam if he’s not a muslim? Because his middle name is Hussein? Because he went to Pakistan in 1981 when Americans were forbidden to travel there? Maybe its because he blames America for all the world’s ills and problems which plays right into the hands of Muslims. Oh and also. Sting says if you are against Obama, its “agressive, violent, and full of fear”. Can i say the same against anyone (including myself) of thsoe who were so against Obama?
GOP leaders embrace Hoffman
With polls showing Doug Hoffman surging to the top, and liberal/progressive “Republican” Dede Scozzafava who happens to be ACORN endorsed dropped like tht Titanic, suddenly the House Republican leadership is prepared to welcome Doug Hoffman into its ranks. According to Politico, the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Pete Sessions (R-Texas) said
“He would be very welcome, with open arms,” Sessions told POLITICO in an interview off the House floor.
Arrogant Obama still bitching about criticism from New York date night
Remember the New York City “date night” Obama and his wife took a few months ago that cost tax payers around $74,000 for three private jets, two helicopter rides, extra planes for security and closing roads for motorcade? This during what Obama has claimed is the “worst economic crisis since the Great Depression”, while unemployment continues to rise, and we’ve been lectured by Obama to “cut back”? Its certainly not as if dubya would any other President would have been criticism for such a lavish, expensive night during such tough times. Apparently, this is another example of Obama’s thin skin as he’s still whining about the criticism, according to the Seattle PI:

Chris Dodd - Mortgage Fraud / AIG
Tim Geither - Tax Cheat
Hillary Clinton - Overseas conflicts of interests
Eric Holder - Pardons terrorists and Marc Rich
