How pathetic has CNN gotten? CNN Fact-Checks SNL’s Spoof on Obama

How sad is it, when a once leader in cable news, CNN needs to fact check a comedy routine by Saturday Night Live against a sitting President? I also don’t remember them fact-checking any of those Tina Fey attacks on Sarah Palin during the campaign. Thats exactly what CNN did today after the SNL spoof on Obama this past weekend. Since starting in 1975, Saturday Night Live has spoofed on every sitting President from Gerald Ford, to peanut head Jimmy Carter, to Ronald Reagan, to both Bushs and Bubba Clinton. I believe CNN began in 1979 (although, i’m not sure if this is the exact year of their debut). Not once do I recall them ever doing a “fact-check” on a comedy routine, or a SNL skit on a sitting President.  That is until today.
