Old washed up pervert David Letterman apologizes to wife Regina, regrets last week’s revelation, and gets 35 second standing ovation

The old, washedup pervert David Letterman apologized to his wife Regina while taping his late-night show Monday October 5, 2009. During a taping Monday of the Late Show, Letterman apologized for the attention and inquiries that have been aimed at his staff and family and received a 35 second standing ovation from the whackjobs in the crowd. Here is an excerpt (from Radar Online):

“I’m terribly sorry that I put the staff in that position. Inadvertently, I just wasn’t thinking ahead. And, moreover, the staff here has been wonderfully supportive to me, not just through this furor, but through all the years that we’ve been on television and especially all the years here at CBS, so, again, my thanks to the staff for, once again, putting up with something stupid I’ve gotten myself involved in.

“Now the other thing is my wife, Regina. She has been horribly hurt by my behavior, and when something happens like that, if you hurt a person and it’s your responsibility, you try to fix it. And at that point, there’s only two things that can happen: either you’re going to make some progress and get it fixed, or you’re going to fall short and perhaps not get it fixed, so let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me.”

Letterman is fine; he never was the “Family Values” type. Yes, he probably cheated on his girlfriend now wife. But at least he does go around claiming he is Mr. “Family Values” like some of our politicians (can you just see the grin on all “Fake News” reporters/ commentators and the Palin fringe). This has been a tough summer, for Dave, for our economy but at least he did not end up on the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Sanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC).

Letterman is nothing but an egotistical jerk. If he sincerely cared anything at all about his wife, he would have thought twice about adding to her pain and humiliation with his very public and self-serving on-air “confession.” But like most all of these celebrities and polticians with their super-inflated egos, in the end it’s all about THEM. Letterman can use his power and money to get women and cheat on his longtime girlfriend/now spouse, go on TV and publicly cuckold her and still come out smelling like a rose! He and his ilk make me sick.

I believe that the American people can see the distinction between a Late Night jokester and a Politician who preaches one thing and lives another. And I also believe that the American people will have more compassionate about this situation, but who knows what the court case will reveal. Let’s remember “Those who are not willing to give pardon and mercy are those that do not need pardon and mercy. By the way, who are you losers to cast stones?
