Kevin Jennings (Safe Schools Czar) in 1998 – Killing someone who calls you a faggot is not aberrant behavior

To anyone who may have been offended by the word “Faggot” in the title of this post, and related text, I do apologize, but it comes from the man who is the current Safe Schools Czar. Another gem from the NAMBLA inspired, Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings, who failed to report a 15 year old boy (15 years old according to Jennings) having sex with an adult male over 10 years older than him. According to Verum Serum, a 1998 article by Jennings, published in the Advocate in response to s number of school shoots at the time, Jennings wrote this (here is the original PDF)

Killing someone who calls you a faggot is not aberrant behavior but merely the most extreme expression of a belief that is beaten (sometimes literally) into boys at an early age in this country: Be a man – don’t be a faggot.


So let me see if I get this straight. According to Jennings, the violence from 1998 was basically a direct consequence of the teaching of traditional gender roles in society. Am I to also assume now that whenever someone calls someone else a “faggot” on an internet chat line, instant message, twitter, facebook, or whatever, that this is going to provoke that the one called the name is going to go out and provoke some sort of violent act, or even go hunt down the person who made the remark and shoot him?

Its time for Jennings to go. If “Brewster” wasn’t a reason enough, then the revelation of his support of NAMBLA still wasn’t enough, writings such as these should be it! Its time for Jennings to resign now!
