SNL’s pathetic attempt at mocking Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize

People were wondering all week. Would Saturday Night Live mock Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize, after the previous week’s mocking of Obama accomplishing nothing that had to be “face-checked” by CNN, and pissed those off on the left and in the White House. Well, they did mock the Nobel Peace Prize, but in a very weak, liberal way.  Whoever the man who (i don’t watch SNL so I don’t know names) plays Obama in SNL did however made a very accurate statement:

Obama character: “I won the Nobel for not being George Bush.”

I believe this is 100% accurate. Like Dubya or not (and I didn’t and never voted for him in 2000 and only did in 2004 because John Kerry was the other choice), Bush liberated 50 million Muslims from two of the most violent regimes in history. Of course, with the likes of Yassar Arafat winning the award, Obama is in great company.

While there are some people in its history who have received the Nobel Peace Prize that deserved it a hell-of-a-lot less than Barack Obama (Henry Kissinger and Yassar Arafat come instantly to mind), I don’t think the good folks in Olslo did the president any favors by presenting the Nobel to him so early in his presidency.

Woodrow Wilson received his in 1919 only after his work for the League of Nations (at considerable cost to his own physical health).

Theodore Roosevelt obtained his prize in 1906 after negotiating an end to the war between Japan and Russia.

Jimmy Carter got his (post-presidency)after bringing Egypt and Israel together – no small feat!

All due respect to the president – after all, he never solicited this award and it was as much of a surprise to him as it was to everybody else – but what the hell has HE done for peace lately?

    Am I missing something?

It appears as though the absolute control currently being sought in Washington has reached your website. I wanted to see the video, but it has been removed. Wh is it that SNL skits and talk sahow host’s monologues can criticize, ridicule, and other wise make fun of everyone (including sitting Presidents) except the current President? The answer I believe is both interesting and continued evidence of the manipipulatrion and control now being placed on this once “free” Republic!

    Thank you.
