Wikipedia Libelist responsible for damaging posts of Rush Limbaugh IP has been traced to New York Lawfirm Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLPs

We are learning more about blogger Trapdoc posting a letter to Mark Steyn thanks to American Thinker. In the search for the Wikipedia Libelist responsible for damaging posts to the Rush Limbaugh account apparently has been narrowed to the IP address (69.64.213.146) which traces back to a New York City law firm: Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLPs. A user with this IP address has also been used to make changes to the article about not only Limbaugh, but also Karl Rove, Sean Hannity, and Sarah Palin. Now, before anyone jumps to conclusions about Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLPs, you should be aware it is possible the IP addresses had been spoofed, or that another firm has access to it. There can be no presumption that Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLPs is the source at this point.

That being said, that there could be no presumption that Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLPs is the source at this point, there are some rather interesting discoveries about this lawfirm, posted by American Thinker. You can read all the odd developments over at American Thinker, but one of the more rather interesting revelations is that

FEC records* indicate that individuals associated with Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler, LLC donated almost $100,000 to Obama’s 2008 campaign. Over the last ten years people associated with the firm donated another $80,000 dollars to the Democratic Party and thousands more to Democrats across the country, from Oregon to Florida. Thousands more went to such radical left organizations as Emily’s List and MoveOn.org.

While a small number of other individuals donated a, not insubstantial, amount to Republican candidates over the past decade, those donations went to mainstream candidates and organizations and not to the extremist fringe–such as the leftists at George Soros funded MoveOn.

Interesting that you mention profanity laced tirades from Liberals but that’s exactly what I, and my friends get we we disagree with conservative positions.

I appreciate commentary backed by references, even if I have a different interpretation. However most comments are reference free and are simply derogatory and/or obscene expletives.

Is there a political group that will list all the imperfect politicians? Your list seems to include only Democrats. Are there no Republicans? Of course Dems use the same criteria so I guess turn-about is fair play. Yet when you take the high ground you should have a reason for being there.

I am now convinced that there is no politician who does not have a skeleton in the closet. That there is no politician who does not pander to his constituents. That there is no politician who will risk voting against pork in their own district. Once elected you do everything, and anything, to be reelected. Give me a name, I’ll find the dirt.

Hmmm… could even Jesus be elected today… He did create havoc in a marketplace, disrupting free enterprise; and showing blatant disrespect for proper authority and custom. At least that’s how contemporary media would play it. By today’s standards we could call him a socialist or even a communist… definitely a radical.
