‘Good without God’ signs to soon to New York subways

Coming to New York subway system on Monday October 26th, a monthlong advertising campaign in a dozen Manhattan subway stations with the slogan “A Million New Yorkers Are Good Without God. Are You?” The posters also advertise the Web site BigAppleCoR.org, which provides a listing of local groups affiliated with the Coalition of Reason, the umbrella organization that coordinated the campaign, according to the New York Times. The campaign is being paid for with $25,000 from some cowardly, anonymous donors. If they are so proud of their Atheism, why are they anonymous? More from the NYT story linked above

The subway station advertisements were chosen for the $25,000 campaign because they were the best deal for the given budget, said Michael De Dora Jr., the executive director for the New York branch of the Center for Inquiry. A Times Square ad would have cost $45,000 to $50,000 for a month, while a campaign that blanketed the inside of subway cars would have cost $70,000.

The subway campaign is timed to a new book called “Good Without God” by Greg Epstein, which is to be released on Oct. 27 by William Morrow. Mr. Epstein, the Harvard University humanist chaplain, is having a book signing at Columbia University Bookstore on Oct. 28.

I just heard this nonsense on the news this morning. I live in upstate New York and think we should pull the plug on the aqueduct to New York City. Our children are dying due to child abuse, we refer to our marriages as marriage number 1,2, 3 etc. We have school shootings and children killing children. Now you are posting signs on the subway that give license to act whatever way we want because there is No God?!! I think all Christians should boycott the MTA and the products of other companies advertising on the MTA until the signs are taken down. I am 100% sure that there is a God without a doubt in my mind. I saw a bumper sticker not long ago that said ‘People living like there is no God, better hope they are right.’ Guess who is going to be in for a shock when they get to “the other side.” You have to wonder why people are forming right-wing extremist groups in droves, just to combat this nonsense.
