How sad is it, when a once leader in cable news, CNN needs to fact check a comedy routine by Saturday Night Live against a sitting President? I also don’t remember them fact-checking any of those Tina Fey attacks on Sarah Palin during the campaign. Thats exactly what CNN did today after the SNL spoof on Obama this past weekend. Since starting in 1975, Saturday Night Live has spoofed on every sitting President from Gerald Ford, to peanut head Jimmy Carter, to Ronald Reagan, to both Bushs and Bubba Clinton. I believe CNN began in 1979 (although, i’m not sure if this is the exact year of their debut). Not once do I recall them ever doing a “fact-check” on a comedy routine, or a SNL skit on a sitting President. That is until today.

Turns out Rathke didn’t embezzle just $1 million from ACORN, instead it was $5 million!
No wonder ACORN still wouldn’t open up the books. According to NOLA, an internal review by the board of directors of ACORN determined that the amount allegedly embezzled from the community organization was $5 million, not $1 million which was originally reported months ago, according to a new subpoena in an investigation by Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell. Saturday Night Live rags on Obama for accomplishing Jack and squat
I guess Tina Fey has run out of Sarah Palin material. Liberals of course are now mad at “Saturday Night Live” for opening October 3rd, 2009′s show with what some of whining “a particularly harsh” send-up of Obama. The critique focused on failed promises, as a checklist repeatedly appeared to the right of the screen that had “NOT DONE” checked off next to the following categories: global warming, immigration reform, gays in the military, limits on executive powers, torture prosecutions, closing Gitmo, withdrawing from Iraq, improving the status of the fight in Afghanistan, health care reform, etc.
George Will on Obamas’ Olympic Failure: “It Was All About Them”
On ABC’s “This Week,” George Will says that the Obamas’ trip to Copenhagen to try to land the Olympics for Chicago in 2016 was more about their ego than America. Now, you can add Jesse Jackson, State Rep. Susana Mendoza (D-Chicago), U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.).
