9.8% is a higher number than 8% right? Because we were promised by Obama and the rest of the corrupt liberal democrats that once the stimulus passed, the US jobless rate would NOT go above 8%. IF we didn’t pass the bill, it would hit 9%. With the employment rate at 9.8% percent in September employers cut far more jobs than expected, despite the “recession being over” like Obama and Ben Bernanke claimed. More from Fox News:

Florida Democrat Alan Grayson, who compared healthcare in the United States to the Holocaust this week sent a letter to Andrew Rosenkranz, Florida regional director of the Anti-Defamation League, a prominent Jewish organization that fights anti-Semitism. Democrats reject amendment to cut Medicade fraud
The big excuse by Obama of how ObamaCARE will not add a single dime to the deficit is that the cuts of Medicade and Medicare fraud will save about $600 billion. Senator Cornyn of Texas proposed an amendment which would have delayed expansions in Medicaid until steps had been taken to get its error/fraud rate down to 3.9%. By a margin of 13-10, along party lines, the amendment was defeated. The vote is below, which includes Blanche Lincoln (Democrat Arkansas) who is up for re-election in 2010. California Attorney General Jerry Brown office has finally started an investigation into ACORN after the tapes released by James O’Keefe, Hannah Giles, and Andrew Breitbart exposed the corrupt left-wing organization giving advice on how to avoid paying taxes, on how to smuggle 13 year old El Salavdorean girls over the border for prostitution, and more. New jobless claims rise more than expected
Hows about that hope and change? Stimulus passed, unemployment isn’t going above 8% remember? Cash 4 Clunkers saved the car industry, yet GM and Chrysler sales were down over 40% in the month of September. The recession is over according to crook Ben Bernanke, yet first-time claims for jobless benefits rose more than expected last week, a sign employers are reluctant to hire and the job market remains weak. According to AP/Google, The Labor Department says initial claims for unemployment insurance rose to a seasonally adjusted 551,000 from 534,000 in the previous week. Wall Street economists expected an increase of 5,000, according to a survey by Thomson Reuters.
