8 more US troops die in Afghanistan. October 2009 now deadliest month for American forces in 8-year Afghan war
While Obama continues to dither, American lives continue to be lost. As 8 more American troops were killed in two separate bomb attacks today in southern Afghanistan, this officially makes October 2009 the deadliest month of the war for U.S. forces since the start of the Afghan war in 2001. According to the AP
In one of the attacks, seven Americans were killed while patrolling in armored vehicles. U.S. forces spokesman Lt. Col. Todd Vician said. He said an Afghan civilian died in the same attack. The eighth American was killed in a separate bombing elsewhere in the south, also while patrolling in a military vehicle, he said.

Obama’s stimulus is working. Working for Fox News that is. Ever since Maoist Anita Dunn went on her cryfest about Fox News (on CNN, which is now 4th among cable news channels), Fox News has seen a ratings bump of 9% overall. The ratings bump is 14% in the important 25-54 age demographic group.

What does a network, who began the cable news “business”? Or the network that brought you such extensive coverage of BallonBoy, and fact checked a SNL skit about Obama? It gets you dead last in cable news ratings for the month of October, even behind their own sister network HLN (formerly Headline News.) Pelosi tries to rename the public option to “the consumer option.”
The so called “public option” announced earlier by Harry Reid will be included in the Senate ObamaCARE bill. The public option which is really a government-run option is one of the reasons ObamaCARE is so unpopular, despite a few skewed polled by some left wingnut site’s polls. I’m probably in the minority on the right that thinking that the capping of salaries of executives of institutions that took TARP money should be able to be capped. You get in bed with the government, you pay the price. I also understand the other side, that with these “capped” salaries, there is no way you are going to get the best, hardest working, qualified people to work for these firms. GM not being able to find a CFO right now is a perfect example. However, anything that would go beyond these government controlled companies is off limits as far as I’m corcerned. Apparently. 40 House democrats line up against federal abortion funding in ObamaCARE
Rep. Bart Stupak (Democrat from Michigan) told CNSNews yesterday that he has organized a group of “about 40 likeminded Democrats” who will vote to kill the health-care bill if Botx Pelosi does not allow a floor vote on his amendment to prohibit federal funds from going to insurance plans that cover abortion. Under Stupak’s plan, the approximately 40 Democrats in his camp would join with all House Republicans in voting to defeat the special House “rule” that would set the terms for debating and amending the health-care bill on the House floor when it is brought up for a final vote. If a majority of the House does not first vote to approve this rule, the health-care bill itself cannot be brought to the floor.
Obama refusing to go to Copenhagan for climate change summit in December
Obama, who found plenty of time to go to Copenhagen to try and lure the Olympics to the dump of Chicago to line the pockets of his buddies like Valerie Jarret, David Axelrod, Richard Daley, etc apparently has no time for Copenhagen in December for the “climate change” summit.
