Obama declared the so called “fast-spreading” swine flu (H1N1) a national emergency last night, a move that authorizes federal officials to waive some requirements in dealing with the virus, such as letting hospitals set up separate facilities to keep patients with the virus from infecting others. According to Politico, The White House announced Saturday that Obama had signed the proclamation, saying it will make it easier for healthcare providers to “handle a surge in H1N1 patients” if necessary.

Among independents, only 27% think he deserved the award, while 66% don’t think he earned the Nobel Peace Prize. I that that as a matter accurate measure of what the country thinks, because of course Republicans will not be happy about it, and Democrats will cream their pants of the award.

Nancy Pelosi counted votes Thursday night came up short in her quest for a “robust public option”. The “Robust” public option is the most extreme version of what the liberals are trying to shove down the throats of Americans. Doug Hoffman (NY-23) raises $116,000 in a single day after Sarah Palin’s endorsement
Doug Hoffman campaign spokesman Rob Ryan called and gave “The Other McCain” the good news. With Sarah Palin’s endorsement of the independent candidate on Thursday, Hoffman raised a total of $116,000 in campaign contributitions for the one day alone! Given previous reports that the campaign had raised $210,000 in the week ending Tuesday, and estimating more than $30,000 for Wednesday, this puts the Hoffman campaign’s online fundraising at about $400,000 in the past nine days. Dede Scozzafava the ACORN/Daily Kos endorsed “Republican” is suffering from a serious cash crunch. She spent nearly as much as she raised – $204,879 compared to $233,583 – loaned her campaign $12,000 and has just $40,703 on hand. Her biggest expense? Obama tells Congress that policy Czars won’t testify
Most transparent adminstration ever? Fox News fault? Or just Hugo Obama Chavez being Obama? According to the Washington Times, The White House has told Congress it will reject calls for many of President Obama’s policy czars to testify before Congress – a decision senators of both parties said goes against the president’s promises of transparency and openness and treads on Congress’ constitutional mandate to investigate the administration’s actions. Sen. Susan Collins, Maine Republican, said White House counsel Greg Craig told her in a meeting Wednesday that they will not make available any of the czars who work in the White House and don’t have to go through Senate confirmation. She said he was “murky” on whether other czars outside of the White House would be allowed to come before Congress. Collins said that doesn’t make sense when some of those czars are actually making policy or negotiating on behalf of Mr. Obama.

Frank Gaffney and Ron Reagan Jr. were the “guests” on tingle leg Chris Matthews show, discussing the conditions in Afghanistan while Obama dithers. Ron Reagan Jr . of course is your typical run of the mill liberal, and a disgrace to the Reagan name. Towards the end of the segment, Frank Gaffney says to Reagan Jr. :
“Your father would be ashamed of you,”
with Reagan Jr. responding:
“You better watch your mouth about that” -
Of course, the big powerful Reagan Jr is in Seattle, while Gaffney is in New York, so Reagan can put on the big tough guy act. After the exchange, Chris Matthews got another tingle up his leg saying:

It seems Obama and his gang of losers (Dead Fish Emanuel, Axelrod, etc) get more and more childish and pathetic by the day. Today it seems the White House banned FOX News from interviewing the Pay Czar Kenneth Feinberg. The media “pool” of Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC and CBS were all (except Fox) granted 5 minute interviews with Feinberg. Shockingly, the other networks protested the blackout of Fox News, forcing Obama’s hand to allow them to interview the Czar. Perhaps Obama’s attempt at emulating his hero Hugo Chavez will force him to appoint a Fox News Czar?
