AARP to endorse the crown jewel of socialism (Obama/PelosiCARE)

obama-doctor-jokerOfficials have told The Associated Press AND Michelle Malkin that AARP the seniors’ lobby_will endorse the crown jewel of socialism, known as ObamaCARE or PelosiCARE, or whatever CARE they are calling it these days. Officials with knowledge of the group’s decision told The Associate Press that the senior’s lobby AARP has decided to give the $1.2 trillion measure its seal of approval. An announcement is expected Thursday. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement has not been made. Michelle Malkin posts what she’s heard:

I’ve been told that the endorsement will argue that senior citizens will actually benefit from the government health care takeover despite a half-billion-dollars in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid because of the House version’s subsidies for medium-income seniors; elimination of the so-called “donut hole” coverage gap; and anticipated reductions in the cost of medications. The AARP will argue to its members that the massive costs of the public option will not increase the deficit.
