20 years ago day the Berlin Wall came crashing down
What a difference a couple of decades makes. November 9, 1989 the euphoria and jubilation as east German residents broke down the Berlin Wall that had divided the country for decades, American presidents actually cared enough to attend and weren’t bush playing golf, palling around with terrorists and marxists, hosting dance parties, or flying in special pizza makers.

The President at the time was George H.W. Bush. Preceded by a president, Ronald Reagan who at Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin, Germany. June 12, 1987 famously said
“Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall.”

But I digress. Our current “president” who popped off to Copenhagen to try and get the Olympics for Chicago and failed badly had no time to attend the 20th anniversary of such a history moment.
