Even Canadians have Palin Derangement Syndrome – Canadian “Comedian” Mary Walsh ambushed Palin in Ohio
I use the term “Comedian” loosely, I mean maybe Canadians actually consider a loser like Mary Walsh to be funny. According to Mediate, during a book signing event in Columbus, Ohio, Canadian Comedian Mary Walsh ambushed Palin with camera crew and microphone to seek her thoughts on the Canadian health care system. Event security detail prevented a “meaningful” interview (though I don’t know what Canadian liberals consider as meaningful), Palin did provide some basic comments consistent with her conservative position. Of course libtard sites have run wild with the video clip calling Palin naive, dumb, and the usual liberal gibberish. This Hour Has 22 Minutes, is described by many as the Canadian version of the Daily Show. Comedian Mary Walsh plays a character named “Marg Delahunty” — a strident conservative who is known (in Canada) for buttonholing politicians and conducting satirical interviews. As she approaches the table where Palin is signing books she yells “I just wanted to ask you if you have any words of encouragement for Canadian conservatives who have worked so hard to try to diminish the kind of socialized medicine we have up there.”

Meh, calling this “Palin derangement syndrome”, is giving it more attention than it deserves. I reserve that type of phrase for the people who think that George Bush is responsible for all evil including the crab grass on their lawn.
Anyway, you’re missing the point. The point wasn’t that Palin doesn’t like government health care. The point was that Walsh fooled her into believing that our Prime Minister and the Conservative Party does too.
Mary Walsh is part of a rather average comedy sketch show called “This Hour has 22 minutes”. The exception on that show is Rick Mercer who is hilarious, but you might not get the inside jokes if you haven’t spent enough time in Canada. They’ve had a segment on there called “Talking to Americans” for years that consists of talking to American tourists about Canada and showing clips of the people they find who are most ignorant about Canada. It’s mildly funny if you’re from here. Think about a show that went to the UK and got British tourists to congratulate the US on their news President Jon Stewart.
It’s just an extension of that. We find it amusing when other people know nothing about our country.
I mean Walsh used to dress up like a viking warrior or something and wander around parliament looking for legislators to interview about ridiculous topics.
