The 60 Minutes/Vanity Fair Poll – Should Obama’s face be on Mount Rushmore?

obamafacepalmNot even a year as President, but decades worth of media slurping the question of the day for Vanity Fair and CBS now is should Obama’s face be on Mt. Rushmore. CBS’s Cali Carlin yet again trumped up the race card this morning on CBS’s Early Show responded to this poll with:

“That’s unbelievable. Maybe just because of the historic significance of him being African American.”

According to Newsbusters, they asked Americans to nominate a fifth face for Mt. Rushmore which included Barack Obama along with three other “contenders”. Out of the four total which besides Obama included John F Kenndy, Ronald Reagan and Franklin FDR Roosevelt, Obama came in dead last as one would expect, with Kennedy coming up first place in the poll at 29%. Franklin Roosevelt got 18% of the vote and Ronald Reagan at 20%. As disgusting as it may be, Obama actually garnered 16% of the vote.

    Hell No!

    The four Presidents on Mount Rushmore have done historical things for our nation.

    George Washington: General of the Revolutionary War. Father of the Republic. First President of the United States.

    Thomas Jefferson: Author of the “Delcaration of Independence.” Statesman. Louisiana Purchase. Third President of the United States.

    Abraham Lincoln: President during the Civil War. The Emancipation of the slaves. Saved the Union.
    Martyr for the United States cause. Sixteenth President of the United States.

    Teddy Roosevelt: Brought United States onto the stage as a world power. Helped establish a National Park system to protect our nation’s treasured landmarks.

    Barack Hussein Obama: Debt, scandal, lies, Chicago style thuggery, community organizer. Doesn’t stand up to the greatness of the other Presidents. Ronald Reagan deserves to be up there more than Obama.
