Welcome to the world of conservatives for the last twenty years! How’s it feel to see your elected representatives that claim they have your values when they’re asking you for your vote yet play politics, demonstrate they’re totally out of touch with their base, and compromise YOUR perceived well being for their own political expediency? The only difference is that conservatives just want to be left alone by government and liberals are mad because the government isn’t PUNISHING someone and imposing their will on a majority of its unwilling citizens. Wasn’t Wasserman the one that argued that cops and soldiers weren’t “real” victims of hate crimes? Her credibility and judgment in the wake of the cop killings in Washington and the soldier massacre at Fort Hood is shot to hell anyway. What amazes me is that these liberal nutballs can’t see the irony of their situation. They DON’T LIKE being forced to pay for something they think is wrong. What the hell do you think conservatives have been screaming about for all these years? Join the club! How would they like paying for a school system dedicated to a conservative agenda, pay for anti-abortion groups and propaganda, pay for conservative groups that recruit only Republican voters at their expense, public radio and television dedicated to a conservative agenda, and religious organizations approved by conservatives? You think they might be a little pissed off? Welcome to our world!
