So much for the GOP’s plan to “fight” – Mitch McConnell agrees to earlier christmas eve vote with Harry Reid

franken_diaperAnd the GOP wonders why their base continues to desert them, even as the Democrats continue to expose their true agendas. Mitch McConnell surrender to Harry Reid not only on the Senate health care bill, but also to lift to debt ceiling early Thursday morning, to just “get out of town” early shows that no one in DC gives a s*it about. Not the Democrats, and certainly not the Republicans either who are worried about an ice storm coming to Washington DC. It will be 5am where I am when the Senate votes and 8am in DC. To echo what RedState posted:

By the way, why stick around? We know the Democrats have the votes. Make them own it. If we’re going to throw in the towel early, the GOP should en masse pack up and go home. Leave the Dems alone by themselves to do in the Republic.
