Golfer in chief plays with friends after near terrorist tragedy

osama_obama.jpgNormally, after something like that happened on Xmas day happens where America was nearly hit with another terrorist attack, the President (on vacation or not) at least goes on TV to speak with the American people to ease any worries they may have. Instead, this “president”, too busy on his $4,000 per day vacation on our dime decided to go off golfing with his buddies after a pre-dawn briefing on yesterday’s attempted terrorist attack and a workout at the gym. According to Politico:

Obama’s motorcade left his vacation home in Kailua shortly after 10 a.m. local time and arrived several minutes later at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course on a nearby Marine base.

The golfer in chief playing with some of his close friends, according to a pol report: Eric Whitaker from Chicago and Greg Orme, Mike Ramos and Bobby Titcomb, who Obama knows from growing up in Hawaii.

As Obama’s first three days on holiday break have shown, it’s impossible for a president to escape his job even when on vacation – and his trip to the golf course on the picturesque Mokapu Peninsula was no different.

Obama’s seven-minute motorcade ride passed a handful of anti-war protesters holding signs such, “Stop the War in Afghanistan.”

But once at the Marine base, Obama had one thing on his mind. According to a pool report, the president exited his SUV and headed without pause for the course.

Saturday’s pool reporter also included some detail from the course’s Website: It’s an 18-hole course described as a “golfers’ paradise where the Ko’olau Mountains frame the front nine and the Pacific coastline spans the back nine.” The site also says: “Enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze as it caresses beautifully manicured fairways.”
